To God be the glory. Had my little princess at st Francis hospital LA by Dr Mbagwu Few days ago. All went as planned, no complications, mother and child doing great.favor all the way. My birth experience was just like a Hebrew woman! Indeed I saw the lord's goodness and mercies. What more can I ask for..... Wish all preggie moms a peaceful delivery. Happy holidays everyone!

Congrats sis, I want to have my baby in California too.
Please how did you get his contact, break down of the bills and the admission letter. I would love to have my baby in that hospital.
I would be grateful

On dollar rate issue: if ur hosp accept wire transfer. Simply go to ur bank and do form A requesting your bank to pay the hospital on your behalf and debit your naira act. With little documentation, such as hosp bill, visa pg, written request and return ticket. That will be sorted for you at the official price.

Nobody answered u cos these questions get k leg.
1. For flight- u have to check everyday and night and via various search engines. Wakanow, skyscanner etc. Flash sales may pop up or u get a deal.
2. Best time to travel- also best known to u. If u pick a flight u need to know their preggie rules and decide. Again if u read back, ul see people travelling at different weeks and how they felt when they reached. I doubt folks will repost that again.
3. Notification of intent-any time u so desire as long as its before your travel date and u get a reply.
Tip; try using the search button. Type in key words like 'travelled at 34 weeks' or 'notification of intent'. In like 30 minutes ul get a general idea of answers to your questions

Sabi mamas, Abeg help me torchlight this issue oh!

I renewed my visa via Dropbox last September when I was already pregnant. I have used the visa twice since then, once in October and again in November. The second time I used the visa, I was already showing and sent for secondary inspection at Atlanta where I declared the pregnancy but insisted my current visit wasn't for birth cos It wasn't. I was thereafter stamped in. I'm planning to travel for birth this March and I have emailed the consulate in Lagos as well as the embassy in Abuja of my intention to birth. Both have responded. The clarification I seek is on two points:

1. Is there any other thing I need to do to be on track or am I good to go?

2. Any advice for me?

Thank you everyone. Big hugs to you for your labour of love...
Kikikikikikikikiki.... Oya lemme torchlight it... Kikikikikikikikiki
Ur letter to the embassy na notification of intent... Cos u used for the reason u got it.
1. U r good to go. Just hold the necessary documents
2. Advice is not free of charge ooo... Do u still want it?

Though they explained that they r sorry, there was a baby in distress. But my friend is not happy with the services, i feel bad cos i introduced her to oakbend.
As a matter of fact, i had to ask her. R u favoured girl. U said her exact feelings right now.

Abeg no vex u confused me
U r there with ur friend who is about to give birth whom u recommended to oakbend and somehow still asked if she's favoredgal?

Erm undecided

It's possible. Lots of my friends don't know I'm on Nairaland talk less of my moniker. But I think she was trying to drive home how our sentiments were exact

Good job on reading all the pages. How come u failed to see the 1 million and one mentions of NY? Read again. You l see them all. Either u do that or you use google and search for cheap NY hospitals. That option might be faster
