Do you even do some little research before opening a thread? There was already a Southern Govs Forum during OBJ's days as "civilian" head of state, where meetings were held in Lagos, Enugu, Benin, Ibadan, Owerri, Port Harcourt, etc. It didn't do hardly anything tangible.

I am not Igbo neither am I Yoruba but I'm from the south though. Not siding anyone that's why I'm calling for Southern Governors' Forum to foster unity among us. We are all brothers

There is Northern Governors' Forum where all governors in the north, irrespective of party affiliations, meet once in a while to discuss issues affecting the north thereby always coming out with one voice when issues of national importance occur.

Sometimes they meet the Head of State to present their position on what will better the lives of their people in the north. But here in the south, we don't have such.

Please my brothers and sisters, we should ask our governors in the west, SS/SE why they have refused to cooperate for our common good

Finally! We are now on the same page. Someone who read your opening post and the title of the thread might have thought that there was never a southern governors forum and that it's impossible for southern governors to cooperate.

The forum was quite useful up to the 2003 elections. The fallout of the 2003 elections affected it a bit, but it continued to function until c2006 (the run up to the 2007 elections). So the main problem they faced was partisan differences (PDP vs AD/AC vs ANPP vs APGA, etc).

All through this period the north was dominated by the PDP and the ANPP.

So I believe that they can meet again, but the main question is whether they can overcome their partisan differences.
