International market Oba will soon be commission by his excellence.

Oba has 9 villages so many sites of attraction which include The Rojenny Games Village, Tansian University, Ogba Spring. Oba Airport (under construction), So many hotels and banks. Due to its strategic location, being sandwiched between the commercial city of Onitsha and the industrial city of Nnewi both cities are less than 5 minutes drive from Oba. An international market (Anambra International Trade Centre) is currently under construction in Oba, the market when completed would consist of 25,000 lock-up stores with modern amenities like fire service, schools, police posts, 24/7 power supply amongst others and will also pride itself as the largest market in West Africa. Oba has turned into a modern urban town with a population of over 300,000 inhabitants. Oba is part of the Greater Onitsha City as designated by the United Nations.

Good initiative but how long will it take them to complete the Oba Airport in Anambra state. They have been on this matter since in the 90's.The construction has began even before the creation of Delta state if I'm not mistaken. Today Delta state can boast of a functional Airport in Asaba whereas the Oba Airport is nothing to write home about. embarassed

State government had relocated the site to Umuleri, They are constructing dual carriageway from Enugu/Onitsha express road by Umunya down to the new site

The fishing and agrarian community of Aguleri in Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State, came alive with the flag off of the 8.5 kilometer Aguleri-Otuocha-Umueri Airport dual carriageway.
Anambra State Governor, who also inspected the Aguleri –Uno oil rig road project, a 40 kilometer road and several bridges, expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, reassuring the people of the State that the projects would boost economic activities in the State by the time the airport and the road projects are completed.
The governor, who was briefed by the contractor on the progress of the project, also expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work on the project, which, according to him, on completion would open up seven food producing communities in Anambra North.
While addressing the people after the inspection, the governor said the projects are in the interest of the people, especially the Airport project which when completed would have a depot for aviation fuel for international flights.
He announced a new partnership with a South African company that will boost electricity supply in the Omabala region and beyond.
The State Commissioner for Works, Calistus Ilozumba, said the state had secured approval from the Federal Government for the airport and had also acquired enough land for the project and therefore the road to the airport is very important.
The governor’s entourage moved to Nando From Aguleri, another food producing community in Anambra East local government area for the flag off of a 4.5 kilometer road, awarded at N1 billion.
The governor flagged off the project and assured the people that the contractors have been fully mobilized and the road is expected to be completed in one year.
The Anambra State government said the road construction will cost the sum of N5 billion.

Exactly bro but it pains me when some tribal bigot are condemning the good works of these governor especially when I stated that amosun is a performer.

It's a pity why some people has made it a competition instead of using it as a leverage to encourage their state government.

Chumaster, I thought u are sensible but I guessed wrong.

Chai, when my Owerri people see this, they go pressure Imo government to build more fly overs in Owerri, and Okorowhite shall maza maza do that;

despite that absence of common urban drainage system is carrying away human beings and houses in Orlu.

See as them de showcase spreading government development in the three principal towns of Anambra state. But in Imo, development is only for Owerri.
The other towns remain semi rural.

Pls Anambra state governor should not only focus on road construction in Awka, he should do the same in Onitsha. Onitsha generates more revenue for the state than Awka. The road in Apkaka is terrible. The governor should fulfill his promises and construct a good road for Akpaka area. The road is less than 2km but can take u 30minutes to cross

Governors that are working don't make noise not those of them that are using #600million to buy one Xmas tree while his workers are not paid, pensioners hungry and dying, roads turning into death traps, workers being sacked, unemployment increasing day by day, selling government hospitals to individuals but continued to boast of roundabouts made of inferior materials.
Good is watching!

What is what replication by other eastern governors is near equal development of their senatorial districts.
Flyover is no sign of urbarnization.

In my Imo state, the state capital has everything modern in the state, including all the five universities and polytechnics in the state.

Only modern infrastructure out of the capital - the teaching hospital - has been gradually thwarted, today it no longer admits students. It's a horrible state.
