Hello Nairalanders, this is a diary of my boerboel named "Mo". Born November, 2014. She's almost a year old.
I'll be posting pictures of her from about a month old till date.
She's a gentle giant, craves for attention, loves food, and aggressive AF! To strangers that is.

PS: Apologies for the crappy picture quality

It was her first night, so I put her in a crate. I laid in bed, ready to sleep after a very long day. I turned off the lights and then it started, "the whinning and crying".
Turned on the lights to check if everything was fine, nothing was wrong. So I went back to bed. Immediately I turned off the lights, it all started again. She cried, whined, cried and cried some more.
After trying everything I could, even sleeping with the lights on didn't help.
The only reasonable option left was to put her on my bed, which I did.
Finally! the whinning stopped. I laid in bed and she slept close to my legs. Luckily for her, I don't kick while I sleep... I think.
Funny part is whenever I leave my bed she immediately gets up too
I tried to sneak out of bed in the morning because I didn't want to wake her up.
I got outta bed, turned back to look at her and there she was, staring at me with that "bros where you think say you dey go?" Look.
Plus you gotta love her "crouching tiger hidden dragon" sleeping position. grin

Few days later, I decided to introduce Mo to the other dogs, to create a bond.
I have two other dogs by the way. "Coco" the cross breed, and "bella" the mongrel, both female.
Bella the mongrel, sniffed mo and all of a sudden started to run like Jim Iyke during his deliverance at T.B joshua's synagogue. Mo chased her round the compound like a relay race. Maybe bella was possessed and Mo has healing powers
Later it was Coco the cross breed dog's turn. Now this part was a bit tricky, Coco is three times or more the size of Mo and very aggressive. She could do serious damage or worse to Mo if she wanted to. I had to take precautions and monitor them closely just in case Coco decides to act funny.
Coco sniffed Mo and surprisingly started to lick her ears to clean the dirt. "This is the beginning of a beautiful friendship" I thought to myself.
Minutes later, the worse happened, she was bitten! Over and over again. I just stood there and watched.
I mean Coco the cross breed was bitten by Mo. All Coco could do was try to run away.
I locked the exit to prevent Coco from escaping the "biting session". Why? Because I thought it was funny at the time. I know, I'm a terrible person.
For the record I get bitten by Mo daily, her bites are not that painful. okay I lied, It was hella painful. But hey, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger eh?
PS: Coco still licks Mo's ears to clean the dirt till this day. smiley

Mo is growing up fast. Her appetite has increased too, she eats a lot!
If she continues at this rate, I'm afraid I'll go bankrupt in no time and forced to live on the streets and sell Gala or rat poison in traffic to survive.
She spends most of her time eating, sleeping, pooping, sleeping, sleeping, eating and sleeping some more.
She spends over half of the day sleeping. Well she's still a puppy, they don't do much.
Mo was sleeping on the couch and making "sucking sounds". I'm not so sure what she was dreaming about but she was definitely sucking something.
Oh, and she started shedding her hair.
The picture was taken on new year's eve.

Mo is three months old now. She shed most of her puppy hair, her coat is now fine, shiny and silky smooth. She'll literally chase anything that moves, including butterflies.
Oh, and she started barking at strangers. With each passing day she becomes more aggressive and adorable.

We stopped letting Mo indoors since she turned three months. She has her own crib now.
She's four months old and has been in her crib for a month.
It's saturday and I was home alone, I decided to go say hello to the dogs. Walked in front of Mo's crib, she had that puppy dog look on her face, craving for attention. I couldn't resist, I had to let her out.
It was very sunny, so I decided to let her inside the house for old times sake.
I opened the front door and she dashed right in. Turned for few seconds to lock the door & when I turned right back, she was gone.
Silence filled the room, she disappeared without a trace. I looked around but I couldn't find her.
I thought to myself, "if I were Mo, where would I be?" (I learned this trick from a movie by the way)
Then I remembered her favourite place in the house. I got there, the door was wide open & there she was, lying down comfortably on my bed, in my room. The expression on her face was like
"hahaha! He done find me tire! You no want make I follow you flex your bed abi?"
She's evil I tell you! Evil! In a cute adorable way that is.

I was away from home for about 3 and a half months, so I missed almost four months of her life time. However, two important events took place. I'll explain them in a bit.
Now we go for a commercial break. grin

So I bought two adorable rabbits, a female and male. I named them "brandy" and "Mr. Whiskers" respectively.
They were amazing and adored by everyone. Unfortunately, brandy died a month later for reasons unknown.
Mr. Whiskers was very lonely, I decided to get him another companion whenever I returned home.
For weeks while I was away, Mr. Whiskers started chewing his bedding, dude went hardcore on the wooden floor.
I don't know how he did it but eventually, the hole was big enough for him to squeeze through to freedom.
Finally, he got out of his cage but his pursuit of happiness was cut short courtesy of Mo.
I got a call that morning from momsy, she told me what Mo had done, Mr. Whiskers was no more.
Mr. Whiskers was a good rabbit, he lived a good but short life.
RIP Mr. Whiskers.

After months of being away, I finally returned home. I was very eager to see how much Mo has grown.
Coco rushed to greet me, as did bella.
Then came Mo. Holy Spiderman's toothbrush! She's grown, I mean really really big!
She just stood there, her head was tilted to the side, looking confused. As if she was trying to remember where she had seen me before.
Minutes later, she walked close to me, started licking, jumping on me and being her usual "mumu" goofy self.
She probably weigh more than me now.
I Love my Mo smiley
PS: Happy new year. God bless us all.
PSS: she was 8 months old at the time

Mo developed a very strange habit, it started when she turned 4 months old. We call it "Her ritual".
She drinks from a bucket, then puts her two fore legs in it.
Anyone else experienced this or my dog is just specially weird?
