back then my dad have one big bunch of keys.anytime u offend him u will just hear the sound of the keys on your head'chai' after that the rest of the day will b spent inside the toilet ..

Hahahahaahhahhhhaahahahahaha beating in those days can be so funny and confusing. They beat you for closing the door they beat you for not closing it. They ask you to collect a gift from someone then gets home and beat the day light out of you saying you don't understand simple signs ( o mo oju). The next day they will beat you for not accepting a gift after they've told you to.... How could I forget this; they beat you fir looking at an elder while talking and beat you for not looking at an elder while talking.

my parents once gave me general beating because i boasted outside our neighbourhood dat inside our bookshelf was dollars & naira. My parents leta got to knw abt it & i was beaten like an armed robber

My grandmum really dealt with me then especially when I don't rush to collect anything she is carrying when returning from shop.and I also dealt with my siblings for crying after beating them especially when the real cry don end and u start what my grandpa calls 'igbe werewere'(rubbish cry) and u're expecting sorry

God help you that you eat your alloted piece of beef before finishing the 'swallow' before you and you now say you are ok.

The next thing you'll hear from mum or dad is, 'Who do you expect to help finish the remaining? You had better finish it now else.."

Mehn, the fear that will grip you then will be out of this world.

You then begin to regret why you ate the piece of beef in the first place.

You've got to no option than to level the mountain before you.

I was about 8 years old when my mum hurriedly sent me on an errand and she instructed me to be back within 2 minutes. I wanted to pull an usain bolt, so I hastenly sped off bare footed and returned before a minute with a fullfiled mind,only to meet her at the door step, I was expecting at least a pat in the back but to my dismay na knock I chop.

"But I didn't play on the road now and you said I should hasten up" . I queried.

"Don't ever go out without your slippers again, you might get yourself injured"

Since then I always have my slippers on even in the compound.

1) For not taking 1st position :- If my Pop's man use ear hear say u carry even 2nd na die u dey.

2) Letter writing mandatory :- Na me dey write 2 all my village people, if u no sabi fit spell (Uncle Chigozirim Chinadindu) correctly ur own don finish.

3) Staying behind close door:- If Palle & Malle commot, na u go be the chief Security, say u leave house commot, Doctor do good go be ur friend.

4) House chore :- MUmsy dey kichen dey cook & u dey play, na play u go chop dat day.

5) Asking for lunch money :- U dare not, no be all dis (indomie/bobo/caprisone) children. If u try am dat day u go spell caprisone/indomie fullname.

Miss good old day.

I was asked one day in front of elders where God resides and I said in the bathroom! Olboy no be small beating after then, not knowing that I abservec my father shouting ohh God while in the shower every morning and though that's where he lives not knowing that it's cold water that makes the guy yell oh! God!!! My parents though I was a possed kid

How old were you When BUBU became president? Did you vote as an underage person?
This thread is reffering to when men and women were boys and girls around the ages of 2 to say like 15 years then.

Do you want to tell me that your parents still beat you at 18? If they still do then I feel something is wrong with either you or them.

Watched my niece pick up his dad's phone anytime he's a call and be speaking with the caller before handing the phone to his dad.. You'll hear, ''daddy, Mr kamoru want to talk to with you ooo'' while when i was his age, i couldnt even near the TV remote for months when we bought a Tv then.

Do you see a pattern? in normal countries, the punishment must fit the crime. Parents in Africa beat for every single reason. This is one of the reasons people think it's ok to burn a suspected thief for stealing maggi. Don't get me wrong, I gave my kids a good asss wooping when they were younger. Not all the time, but just enough. I stopped when they hit ten years old. Their brains are already formed; it's time to start explaining things to them.
