I was told cgpa is not being used in pharmacy... Is it a general thing or it only applies to some unis?

Cgpa is being used o.... Medicine doesn't apply the Cgpa routine.

Be very sure before making assertions. Medicine and pharmacy is declassified. The way it's structured every graduate of both field is seen as competent and qualified. You could calculate your Cgpa for personal reasons but out there it really doesn't apply especially whilst pursuing a career in your field. Doesn't mean you shouldn't strive to be the best anyway.

I need some help with my pharmacognosy practical manual, I was asked to give the botanical source of some fruits, I think I should give a brief description of the plant from which the fruit is gotten but I'm not sure if that is what is expected of me. pls seniors in the house help me out.

When you are asked to provide the Botanical source of a particular plant, what's required of you is to provide the plant's Latin name or scientific name as these names help distinguish between two similar plants.
Botanical names consist of a first name, called the
"genus" (shared by a group of plants with the same structural
characteristics) and a second name, called the "species", which
usually refers to the plant's features or growing habitat. There are also hierarchical levels above the genus, such as the
family. Family names begin with a capital letter and often end
with the suffix "ceae".
For example, stating the Botanical source of Senna leaf will be:

Cassia acutifolia (DELL.)
Family: Leguminosae

Describing the plant will be stating it's diagnostic Features (Macroscopy).
