Op, you obviously don't know about cars! What do you mean by modernize or "converted"?

That vehicle is the very first model of hummer that was produced! The Hummer 1

The usual Hummer we see in Nigeria today is the Hummer 2 and 3 which are the cheaper versions
. Get your facts right!

God bless you. I am still going to get this ride, even if it is in 5 years time. I hate the H3 with a passion.

Anyone who knows any thing about the HUMVEE aka HUMMER knows that there's nothing "converted" about this vehicle, that's exactly what the original HUMMER looks like.

The first HUMMER ever sold to a civilian was bought by Arnold Schwarzenegger and it looked exactly like this one only that the colors are different.

This is the original Hummer. Alias H1, Humvee. This is the pickup version. The one you are more familiar with is the civilian version known as H2. That truck is not for small boys. Both in cost and capabilities. E fit tow your car still do 100 meters dash. Oh, u need to have an oil well to satisfy it's fuel thirst.

I still prefer the H2 any day. I rememberwhen the H2 used to rule the roads. it used to trip a lot of people back then. but then again the fuel consumption is something else.

Exactly my thoughts too. The Hummer phased out way too early. The same HUMMER that held Nigerians spellbound, a few years ago. Now i feel embarrased seeing it pass by sef. Just big & noisy for nothing.

I guess this is because the manufacturers failed to move with the trend.
Maybe they are not market conscious because their company which is FORD still upgrades their ford car brands.just for effizy then

It didnt loose glory, it was discontinued to save the environment, It guzzles gallons of fuel per mile.
Makes no sense because they could have still reviewed its fuel consumption during upgrade.
They ain't just business conscious

That is H1 Humvee. It is too expensive and not readily available for purchase. A proud owner of one is Arnold Schwarzenegger. This is the real Humvee and not the Chevrolet Tahoe renamed Hummer H2 sold to the gullible masses until they figured it out

I am sure you are more business conscious than they are. You cant possibly expect to design a lesser fuel-consumption model except you alter the design to incorporate lesser tons of steel chasis. Invariably, it wouldnt be Hummer anymore. That exactly why it was discontinued. The factory modules are invariable re-branded to produce other brands of autos. Nothing to lose, except a name.
