Benue-South Rerun: APC Members Defect To PDP by ochejoseph(m): 5:44pm On Feb 19, 2016 |
Barely 48 hours to the Benue South senatorial rerun, no fewer than 1000 members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) including its caretaker Chairman in Ogbadibo Local Government Area, have defected from the party. The APC members announced their defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday. This is even as Alhaji Usman Abubakar (a.k.a. Young Alhaji) stormed the hometown of the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for Saturday’s rerun, Comrade Daniel Onjeh, in company of Comrade Abba Moro and Hon Chris Adaba Abbah. The leader of the group and immediate past Chairman of APC in Ogbadibo, Hon. Benard Agada (a.k.a. Soja) said they left the APC due to lack of internal democracy and the grand manipulations of the party by some cabal who do not mean well for the Idoma nation. Addressing the mammoth crowd in Orokam, the home country of the APC candidate Daniel Onjeh, Young Alhaji restated his position that his support for David Mark in the rerun is aimed at preserving Idomas’ identity and pride, promising that he would sponsor a week-long celebration at his Otukpo residence when Mark wins on Saturday. The Orokam born philantropist also used the forum to warn those foreigners who are being imported into Ogbadibo local government area of Benue State for illegal assignments during the Saturday’s poll to steer clear from the area. “Those already imported into the local government should vacate the community. Anyone who insists on staying to carry out any illegal assignment during the election will not report back to whoever may have sponsored him to the area”, Alhaji warned. Also speaking, former Nigerian Ambassador to Switzerland, Amb. Dr. Ogbeh Obande said the entire Orokam community is grateful to Senator Mark for influencing appointments of Orokam indegens into key positions which include but not limited to, Ministerial, Ambassadorial and Board Chairmanship at the Federal level. Former Council Chairman, Hon. Ijiga Okoh who spoke on behalf of Owukpa people and Hon. Matthew Ochigbo from Otukpa said there was no doubt about delivering Ogbadibo Local Government Area for Senator Mark on Saturday. In their separate remarks, former State chairman of Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Engr. John Enemari and Hon. Chris Adaba Abbah all canvassed for Senator David Mark and pledged, bloc votes for the Okpokpowulu k’Idoma on Saturday. Responding, former Minister of Interior and Director General of Senator Mark campaign organization, Comrade Abba Moro said he was overwhelmed by the large turn out in the home of Mark’s opponent and charged them to remain committed to their promise of delivering the former Senate President at the poll. These people wan chop from the yam eater's money (David Mark) small before he is finally lay to rest in Akpegede. It is quite disheartening and pathetic that the only message Mark campaign train can sell to the people of Benue south senatorial district is that Comrade Dan Onjeh is a stooge to the Tiv people after the Devil's Mark abysmal representation in the last 16 years. An ethnic divisive politics common to the PDP as against an undeniable laudable achievements cannot stand the test of the improvished decision at the poll. 19 Likes 1 Share |

Eyah......Meanwhile.... Once there was a bus conductor, who was very rude to his passengers. One day a beautiful young girl, of around 18 years, tried to board the bus, but he didn't stop the bus. Unfortunately the beautiful young girl came under the bus and died on the spot. Angry passengers took the conductor to the police station, who in turn took him to the court. The judge was not at all impressed with him and gave him capital punishment. He was taken to the electrocution chamber. There was a single chair in the center of the room . The conductor was strapped to the chair and high voltage current was given to him. But to everyone's amazement, he survived. The judge decided to set him free, and he returned to his profession. A couple of months later, an elderly gentleman tried to board the bus. This time the Bus conductor, remembering his earlier experience stopped the bus. Unfortunately the elderly gentleman slipped and died due to his injuries. The conductor was taken to the police station and then to the court, to the same judge. Though he hadn't done anything wrong, but considering his past record the judge decided to set an example and gave him capital punishment. The Bus conductor was again taken to the same electrocution chamber where there was a single chair in the center of the room. He was strapped to the chair and high voltage current was given to him. This time he died instantly !!!!!!!!!!! The question is why didn't he die on the first occasion but died instantly the second time?? Okay........ here is the Answer............ During the first time the conductor was a Bad Conductor, therefore electricity didn't pass through him. But during the second time, he was a good conductor, so electricity passed through him freely and he died !!!! Physics never go wrong.... Don't look at me!! I am also looking for the Person who sent me this... 20 Likes 1 Share |

ochejoseph: This news is a last minute desperate propaganda from the PDP to test the people's resolve. Imagine a news that states the obvious lie that the caretaker Chairman who is an appointee of the APC governor will quit his comfort zone to a defeated stage. What a shame and a sham! Ogbadibo LG is my home and there is nowhere in the LG the devil can ink his Mark even if the whole political bigwigs queue behind Dmark. As for young Alhaji, he is a worn out politician. A broke man looking for where to recoup money from whose professional trade is nothing but scaming. 12 Likes |

Idoma's problem is the Tiv's,they don't have any problem with the younger Onje nor Apc as a party, except for the fact that he (onje) is favored or have the support of the Tiv people who are 99% for Apc. frankly speaking,if one could imagine how an igbo man's hatred against Hausa/fulani,that's exactly what obtained between Idomas against the dorminant Tiv's in Benue state. where does politics of hates takes a people? 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Aufbauh: Bros as it stand today, David Mark still remains the biggest politician to come out of IDOMA land. The political battle between the TIV and the IDOMA people requires someone like David Mark to be in control. Daniel Onje on his own part is a vibrant young man especially coming from a background of Unionism as a former NANS president. Until the IDOMA people are liberated, they will rather stick with David Mark 7 Likes |

chinjo: What has the size 'biggest' of Dmark done for the Idoma nation? Other than personal enrichment and family empowerment. He is one of the luckiest Nigerian yet he has never used his opportunities to better the lots of his people. I do not fancy Onjeh's candidature as much but necessity is the mother of invention and as the say goes that when the desirable is not available, the available become the desirable. We need a different personality for now and it will be foolhardy for us to build our destiny around one man. Assuming peradventure Dmark drop dead you mean we don't have capable hands in Idoma land to represent our interest? 2 Likes |

The supreme court has said no more card readers. What the heck is the APC waiting for? It's time to pay back for the supreme court scandals and the ekiti gate. They have the INEC, the have the police, they have the army. If apc dont clear 90% of the re runs, I stop supporting them immediately. Supreme court has said só; write results and announce them, then go to tribunal, pay the judges and life goes on! Nothing will happen. Nigerians aint no libyans, Nigerians aint no tunisians, Nigerians aint no Egyptians. They will protest especially in the south south but at the first sound of a tear gas shot, they will all Scatter and scamper and scramble all over each other for safety. Declare a curfew and they will all hide indoors like Chickens. After maximum 48 hours it's all over. It's the dawn of a new era for Nigerian elections. 8 Likes |
