@ Zandora. please please an urgent response will be appreciated

Is it possible for your uncle to wire the funds to your Dad's account, with the latter transferring it to your account. Subsequently, your pops should write you a gift deed, stating that the funds was a gift. It's more appropriate and sound more convincing if a gift deed is coming from your Dad than an uncle.

However, you have no problem if your uncle can afford to leave the money in your account for 6 months. Once the money stays in your account for 6 months, you dont really have to explain the source.

There's something I don't seem to understand. pls can someone explain fsw where u need minimum of 67 over 100 and crs where I think minimum is 400. It's like to scale the hurdle of 67 out of 100 is not easy and one can easily get above 400 in crs. Is it possible to have below 67 and still qualify 4 EE?

Pls I want to knw d difference btw fsw and crs

A minimum of 67 in 100 is a PREREQUISITE to qualify for FWSC, without which you would be ineligible.

CRS is a ranking system that helps CIC/IRCC prioritize applicants that are able to make into the pool while FSW is an economic migration program for skilled workers. You have to score 67 in 100 to be considered skilled/qualified enough for the program.

Good evening. My wife and I are in the pool with scores of 376 and 367 respectively. We have tried to improve our scores by rewriting IELTS but we still didn't hit the 400 mark and there is no PNP in sight yet. I am 37 while my wife would be 33 in few months time. Her NOC is 1114 while mine is 0122 though I have edited it to 4163.

Since we are determined to relocate to Canada along with our children, we are proposing that my wife should apply for an M.sc in Accounting in any province considering the following: affordable cost of living, possibility of me securing a job easily with an "spousal work permit" (hope I got it right) and affordable child care for our children.

I learned that she would be eligible for a 3 years work permit after the M.sc and there would be possibility of getting PR subsequently. I also learned that I would be eligible for a work permit while she is studying for her graduate programme. We have 9 and 7 years work experience respectively.

My wife's desire is to join the academia since she has completed her Msc in Accounting at a Nigerian University but we feel that starting all over would enable her to acclimatize before pursuing her Ph.d in Accounting and at the same be a less-stressful way of immigrating to Canada.

What do you think of the above proposal?
Does it look realistic?
Would I be eligible for a work permit during the period of her study and the anticipated 3 years work permit that follows?
What other ways can you suggest apart from the above?

I would really appreciate the input of our gurus@JesusDWay, zandora, superchi, dupyshoo, Tola73, irondome, Etfash, other gurus

What's your wife's IELTS score? She holds the key here; she is younger and she has got a masters degree. A good IELTS score would get you to 400, which I sincerely believe is the easiest route for you guys. If hiring a sound "ielts tutor" would help, don't hold back.

On the other hand, have you guys considered Australia. Australia awards more points for years of foreign experience and you do not lose much point on age as you grow older. Her profession is also in demand (in SOL list) in Australia. Personally, I believe it would be easier for you guys to migrate to Australia than Canada (considering your age and years of experience). Australia has a number of positives over Canada, a much higher wage rate and great weather.

Please house, I have an IELTS academic of listening 8.5, writing 7 speaking 7.5 and reading 8.5, would it suffice instead of general

With this kind of score in the Academic module, General module which is required for migration, would be a piece of cake. Go get it dude!!!

Hello house,

Wifee and I will be emigrating in August this year. She is pregnant and will be putting to bed at the end of September.
I wish we could go earlier but it is not feasible.

I understand there is a 90 day wait period before the issuance of the health cards. What can I do? I need help.

Thank u.

Which province are you headed? There is an exception on the 90 days waiting period for babies born.

Your Occupation does not have to match your degree, so you get points for your highest degree which is masters. Your work experience would also count, just that you need to do more work on finding the appropriate NOC for it. If you are having trouble finding a NOC for e-money support, I suggest, you expand your role to align with the department from which you work and get your supervisor to help out with appropriate reference letter. For instance, if e-money support is under e-business support department in your bank, expand your role to align with e-business, find a NOC for e-business, and get a corresponding reference letter to back up your experience claim.

People with less than 300 exist in the EE pool, the crs score doesn't determine your eligibility, it is the ranking score used in selecting people for ITA. Age, level of qualification, years of work and low IELTS are the bane of fsw

I am sure there would be some temporary cards or health card numbers that would suffice. You may want to discuss that with Service Canada. I remember using just temporary card numbers in Australia before I got my medicare card.

Unfortunately there's nothing like temporary health card for permanent residents in Canada, until you complete the waiting time you won't qualify for any public health care unless you take out a private insurance policy. I myself am not yet qualified for the Ontario health care because I haven't spent 3 months here yet. Also, I didn't take out any private health insurance, therefore I pray everyday that I don't fall seriously ill because if I do I'll be finished!

Yeah, I realized that. It's the coverage that is the issue and not just the physical card.

Do I need to be in the EE pool before I can go for it or there is another process for it?

Yes you need to be in the pool before you apply. You even need your express entry number when applying for any PNP.

Hi. new to this thread. finally read all the pages. @zandora congrats on your job. apparently heaven heard your rant the other day. @jesusDway @irondome and all who contribute meaningfully to this thread, big ups!
Please i have a few questions to anyone with info.
1)As regards the letter of reference from previous employers as proof of w/e......what happens in a situation where your supervisor at a previous place of work no longer works there?
2)PCC from the UK, i know zandora and/or someone else posted a link for that but i honestly can't remember the exact page. if you do not mind, could you help with info on how to get a PCC from the Uk as well as estimated cost and an estimate of how long it would take?
3)Any info on Nigerian trained medical docs who have done their ECA from MCC? how long did the process take? any pointers as to how i can fast track or help the process along? how much did it cost?
4)As regards the evaluation of your highest qualification...now if Mrs X evaluates only her MSc. What would her points be on the CRS skill transferability section?.....would she fall under the section of "Two or more post-secondary program credentials AND at least one of these credentials was issued on completion of a post-secondary program of three years or longer" with a maximum obtainable score of 50? OR under the section of "Post-secondary program credential of one year or longer" with a maximum obtainable score of 25?
5)Same question no. 4 above for a medical doctor.
Thanks in anticipation.

Thanks for the reply. I never considered my wife as principal applicant. It makes so much sense. Thanks for the wisdom on this platform. you guys rock.

JesusDWay:

If it's better life you want, you can consider it but, better life over there does not translate to having more money which is what affords better life in Nigeria. If you consider that your children will go to school for free till they enter University, no worry about where your next meal will come from, possibly less hassles from family members asking for money grin and some other things, you might wanna switch. You will have to write IELTS and evaluate your qualifications with WES to determine it's Canadian equivalent before you can apply and, your wife should be better as the Principal Applicant cuz of age. Your professional certifications, if international in nature, will only be of benefit when you get there except for ACCA that may help you score more points for the immigration process

Yes, there's a 90-day wait but that's for some provinces. You've got a few options, though:

- Land in another province such as Alberta whereby the health insurance starts immediately then quickly register so that your wife receives coverage, then move to your intended province later. However note that when you move to another province you'll have to register again with that province and wait for the coverage to start according to their stipulated waiting times.

- Land in the province that requires a 3 month wait period and take out a temporary private insurance policy that'll cover her for 90 days, however, beware that most private insurance policies don't cover pregnant women.

- Land in your intended province then pay for her care out of your pocket, this is the most expensive option.

- Let your wife give birth in Nigeria before you land. The problem with this option though is that you'll have to inform CIC to add your baby to your application and this might take a lot of time to process.

Find below a list of provinces and their provincial health care wait times:

Alberta: Immediate coverage after arrival
Ontario: Coverage after 90 days
British Columbia: Coverage after 90 days
Manitoba: Coverage begins on the first day of the third month after your arrival. For example, if you arrive on August 29, August will count as the first month, with September and October as the following two. Therefore, in this case, your coverage would begin November 1.
Quebec: Coverage after 90 days
New Brunswick: Coverage after 90 days
Nova Scotia: Immediate coverage after arrival
Saskatchewan: Immediate coverage after arrival

Zandora,

Thank you very much.

My intended Province was Ontario. But I will I will land in Alberta, preferably Calgary if it will not be a problem.

Thank you once again.

I don't understand, you've confused me. If your husband has already been invited and he declared that he was married then why does he want you to take the ielts when he has already been invited based on his score? Did your husband state that he was single when he entered the pool? Yet still, did he indicate that you had already taken the ielts and put dummy scores for you? Finally, did he enter the pool when he was single and now wants to add you?

Why the rather expensive student route when you qualify as a skilled migrant? You can easily migrate without Masters if you consider province sponsorship routes. Ontario would send you a letter of Interest with a CRS score above 400. Furthermore, with your professional, it's likely it may be in demand in Saskatchewan province; you may want to have a look at that province as well.

With a good IELTS score(LRWS 8,7,7,7) by you and your wife, and corresponding ECAs of your degrees, I don't think polling 400 points would be that difficult.

Thank you @irondome , I will give FSW a try as advised .
