How come you guys would gladly accept stereotypes that say "Igbo's are enterprising" but reject the one that says you love money more than your parents?

Pls do not confuse issues. All tribes have stereotypes about then, but it is not an excuse for disintegration. So stop spreading hate. The fact that igbos love money, doesnt mean we hate them. They are our brothers and sisters, and infact their love of money can be a plus for the nation. They may love money, but they are also industrious, hardworking, courageous and provide jobs for nigeria's teeming youths.

Nigeria is here to stay!
Mr STFU! A thread that was going fine, but suddenly you brought your Igbo hatred into it. I know your moniker, that's what you do best - hatred and abuse towards the Igbos. Do you wonder why the guy that quoted you has to say what he said? The answer lies in your first post where you poured in your usual hatred towards the Igbos. So stop playing smart or acting like the good guy here, just accept that you can't help it that you're an ethnic bigot

OP come off it, those stereotypes will never cease as long as this world exists.. Every tribe, race and nation has one stereotype or another associated with them..doesn't stop the earth from rotating on it's axis does it?

They say igbos love money? Make dangote or billgates dash me their own naa since only igbos love money..the money being recovered from Abacha stolen funds is greater than all the monies stolen from any Igbo man in government put together..

They said igbos sabi only business.. Well waec, neco disagrees with that.. But who Cares grin
Any Igbo man who gets worked up by such stereotypes is frankly insecure..

The problem in this case does not seem to be igbos but the other tribes who despite this ugly trait of igbos will go ahead to spill the last drop of their inferior hypocritical blood in order to make sure igbos are in the same country with them.

My take is that if someone is accused of being a money worshipper by someone who feels he is not then both parties are at liberty to get away from each other.

Any thing besides this is at best a cover up for hypocrisy and false patriotism. The same Nigerians accused Ghanaians of wrecking their country and organized a Ghana must go campaign. Today it is the igbos you accuse of doing all to make money that is organizing their igbos must leave Nigeria campaign, then I tell you the problem is with you.
make them leave you yet ekenedili motors dey troop in Lagos every hours. You guys are unserious and think irrationally.

Abeggi, everybody knows Igbos are slaves to money. Yes, there are a few exceptions but generally a typical igbo man will do anything, absolutely anything and everything, to acquire wealth! grin

stereotypes exist because they are largely true. it does not mean everyone falls into the stereo type but by and large they hold for enough members of a croup that it cant be ignored.

We may not like it and we take it personal when it conerns our tribe, race etc, but it is what it is.

white people can't dance, Accountants are boring, Africans are dull, Nigerians are criminally minded, British are reserved, americans are loud, pastors are theives, politicians are dishonest, British men are gay or bisexual. Fact is it tends to hold true that's why it's called a stereotype but it doesnt mean everyone is like that and lets not pretend we don't stereotype because it's the natural mechanism of the brain to compartmentalize or stereotype until proven otherwise.

Plus anyone who understands crowd theory knows that a crowd or grouping of people is easier to understand than it's individual members. When you become a part of a crowd you take on the behavior of the crowd/group which may be vastly different from your individual behavior.
