10,000 pensionable jobs up for grabs in the next couple of weeks.

N350b to be injected into the economy within the next 3 months, mostly to finance capital projects.

About $200b, that is about N40tr the equivalent of about 8 years national budget; being stolen funds by corrupt government official to be returned back to government coffers soon.

When I think of these and many more , I just can not but give thanks to God Almighty that I was part of those that voted PMB to power.

oga it depends on your source and the bred of cow...some cows are 90k upward and there are different bred..ust like we have type or cars, tvs and shoes

The figure about annual cattle consumption is marred with flaws, I believe Lagos devour more than 2.19m worth of cattle diurnally.

Yes.

It's only when we start thinking like Ambode that Nigeria will develop. Have you ever heard of Terms of Trade?

Nigeria need to decentralize and allow the geopolitical zones to develop and use Terms of Trade to grow their economies and help the centre only on the exclusive list.

Mynd44:
I am not sure about rice but as a result of tax and the butchers' associations, they have a rough estimate of how many individual animal is slaughtered each day, week, month and year.

So it is not so difficult to have a correct numver of the number of animals sold each day excluding the animals bought from individuals from outside the state and killed at home i.e. Someone going to Ibadan to buy animals for a wedding or naming ceremony can't be calculated but those killed and sold (in the abbatior are recorded) since taxes/levies are paid on each

You have provided a PLAUSIBLE explanation on how the NUMBERS of slaughtered animals can be arrived at.
Even if we assume that the tax collectors are honest, not corrupt and provide accurate DATA it does not explain the VALUE of the animals, does it
In short Ambode has at best made an ESTIMATE that cannot be relied upon for making any INFORMED decision!
He and other 35 state governors and 774 LGAs need to EMPLOY people to generate information that is reliable for planning etc.
By providing what is obviously FALSE information, the governor is CORRUPTING the minds of the people he swore to govern appropriately.

You are the clueless one

2million head of cattle every year

Meaning 6,000 per day

If anyone lives in these abbatoirs you wont argue those numbers. We never even add the ones they kill for parties every weekend

Parties in Lagos every weekend alone would be over 1,000 and almost everyone would kill 1 cattle some even kill 10 cattles for their parties

The thread title and the Op says N2.19m cattle, it was just modified to 2.19m after hitting fp.

As usual they must add pepper and maggi to the title on the home page. which one is N2.19m when the title doesn't have "N"?

Bros apply common sense now. 2.19m cattle in a year, he is talking about the number of cattle that we devour yearly and not the worth

6,000 cows @ N100,000 translates to 600,000,000 per day. Multiply that by 365 days then you'll know how much is going on just Cow alone.

The number of cattle consumed is about to get less as IPOB has directed their people residing in Lagos to boycott the commodity. Silly IPOB clowns!

Nice one Governor Ambode and his counterpart from Kebbi state. This will provide Jobs and boost the economy of the two states. Where is Gov. Aregbesola? Instead of him to learn from the partnership between Lagos state and Kebbi state.
