stop justifying rubbish. What airports are we talking ? MMIA is the biggest airport in Nigeria and it has fence. The last administration did some fencing too. Abi you wan to say Abuja airport no get fence ? Meanwhile they use wire type of fencing. This is bogus!

Thank God of have sworn not to argue with wailers on NL again. See some people way never buy single block dey talk rubbish. Recommending a project and awarding a contract for it are never same. The said billion naira fence project is a recommendation, so no bring APC or PMB into the matter.

Really the cost is inflated. Many of these airports already have fences that only need to be reinforced. Look at MMA in Lagos. It's fenced all round. Let's stop deceiving ourselves.

Also, not using the convention blocks but sancretes. Now, talk abt fencing an AIRPORT which is over a hundred plots with security devices (e.g. barb wire) attached to it.

It's quite expensive to do the fencing of an airport. Although, the timing isn't right because of the dwindling economic situation of the country.

While I can not argue for or against how FAAN came up with the amount for fencing 22 airports as I have little knowledge of fencing cost, I would like to state that completely fencing the airports, if possible with electric fencing, CCTV and airforce personnels stationed at strategic positions, is necessary.

Actually, the timing for me is right.

People need to be employed right now.

Direct labour should be employed where applicable.

A little injection of funds into the economy might kickstart enterprise.

Hahahahahaha

But I think the job to be done is worth the amount estimated. If one airport is about 50km long and they will do double fencing, then that money is not too much. Also consider terrain, accessibility and community relationship issues. My layman view. Pls our civil enginners and architect in the house can do a proper breakdown of iron rods, cement, blocks, wire mesh, Labour, and logistics that will be involved. Tnx.

Does it mean that those airports don't have fences at all? Or are fences the number one priority at the moment? How do we prove that those airports don't have fences and that the money will actually be channeled into fencing the airports rather than going into the bank account of the great lizard of Ubima? Hope you wouldn't have said it was worth it if they had said the fences will cost N2.5trn?
