This is ur go to defence anytime a coach fails. Let me guess was the food bad? Or did they travel by boat or foot? Give it up, Siasia made his bed and now he shall lay in it.
He made all the calls today and they were wrong.

Who is defending Coach Siasia? Not me. I am talking of something that has gone on for long. It is time for us to know that hiring and sacking coaches might not be the solution to our problems.

I am talking of a problem since Coach Westerhoff. Westerhoff succeeded because he went behind the NFF and dealt directly with the Presidency.

If we truly want a rehabilitation in our soccer system, it should be start from our management as in there are bad heads in Nff, that delta man should go he's a failure and very corrupt. They had problem with olishe because he exposed them, Nsc should interfere to the situation.
Icon4s:

That is it bt none of such coaches can work with d NFF which is y we say Siasia is still our best choice.

Echijiele didn't come to pass, he came to free moses and musa from defending and attacking at the same time.

Salah got into the box but he was never Successful.

Echijiele intercepted Salah and his cohort from taking shots several times eventhough he was left alone to mark Salah.

If Amuzie did very well then why did they substitute him?

Please, Oboabona intercepted Salah a lot of times when Echiejile was on the field. I wonder how that can be successful to you.

Moses and the defensive midfielders tracked back to help track Salah. Unlike when Amuzie was on the field, Salah could pull in crosses. Fortunately they were not accurate.

You criticized Amuzie for making faulty passes but now you want to absolve Echiejile for making faulty passes.

Admit it, Echiejile was terrible and worse than Amuzie. That his terrible cross showed it all

The NFF had nothing to do with this loss. The starting lineup set the tone and the substitutions did the rest.

Experimenting players at this crucial stage is unacceptable. How can you bring a winger to play as an attacking midfielder just because you want to include him in the team to make ego?

Aminu Umar plays as a winger in his club.
quite ironical coming from you, isn't it?

That is when people want to turn a blind eye to our true problems. Why do you think Coach Oliseh was at war with the NFF technical committee.

I hate a group of people criticizing and suggesting to the coach how he will prosecute the match.

How did we go from starting Iheanacho to Iheanacho not playing.

Why change your left wing back when you team lacked creativity in the midfield?

It is easy to say it all rest on Coach Siasia but I know there is more to it. During Nigeria Vs Germany in New Zealand, I wrote, not again.

This was another not again factor.

The NFF should disband that Technical committee. As long as they have inputs and they must okay a line up, all the selection does not rest on the coach.

I'm actually pained as anyone can see from my "lamentation" on the previous page. (I put #smiles and a bright message at the end to show I can never allow dark times like these blind me to the future we have in our football).

But that's just the story ma'am.... That's the story.

Let's stop deceiving ourselves, desperate times call for desperate actions.
You seem to be forgetting the fools we have at NFF.
I agree we need a foreign coach, but do you honestly trust those morons to hire a good coach?? How are we going to pay them?
NFF is the REAL problem here. Peakmilk has turned out to be all bark and no bite. I'd take Maigari over this mugu and that's saying much.

You are here claiming team local coach upandan while other African countries are already hiring the best available foreign coaches.

Egypt hired the former valencia boss to qualify them again after missing out on 3 consecutive afcon tournaments. We've missed how many consecutively now? 2 i guess, maybe we will do the right thing when we fail to qualify for afcon 2019. The egyptians were not that fantastic sef but we couldn't just beat them, they got 4 heavy points from a possible 6.

Morocco hired 2 times afcon winning coach Herve Renard(zambia and ivory coast). They now have 12 points in 4 games and defeated the number one team in africa (Cape Verde) home and away. Morocco is getting stronger and they are playing futball again under herve renard.

Even Ghana are not left out. They hired Avram Grant(opolo), took them to the final of afcon 2015 but narrowly lost to herve renard's ivory coast on penalties.

We need a foreign coach too, a coach with quality and experience.

Berti Vogtz almost destroyed the Scottish Football from the grassroots. Many Scots regretted his time there. Guess what? That was the guy the NFF chose to hire for us. Result? Failure.

Lars Lagerback failed to qualify Sweden for the World Cup. They sacked the coach who qualified us, Amodu and hired Lars Lagerback who failed to qualify us. Result? Failure.

That is the problem. The guys in NFF can not tell what is the best thing for us. They sabotage the team and the coaches.

By the way, Cuper is too negative, his Football is ridiculous and they are not winning that title in any way.

Left my duty at ER to see the game at our lounge, got back to ER after the horrendous result to see 6 consults waiting for me .. sad

I wish God can transform this my love for football to love for career driven information.

4, Echiejile: I still don't know why Keshi picked this guy ahead of Taiye Taiwo. Even if TT is useless in defending, he adds bite to attack. Echiejile is both useless in defending and making attacking runs to assist the left winger. Yesterday was no different. Gave the ball away many times. Coudlnt stop the CV guys meandering through our defence. Poor passes and finishing too

This is the problem with the people running our football, they will never hire a good foreign coach for the eagles . They will likely hire a failure to coach the eagles, one that will definitely fail. They will then comeback to tell us why it is good to trust in local coaches.

You don't like Cuper, too negative and plays ridiulous football. Who cares? Egyptians don't care about all these. They've waite for close to years and missed 3 afcons, now they are back thanks to Hector cuper. They don't play attractive football but our star studded eagles can't even defeat them. To miss 3 afcons no be beans ooooo.

Super Eagles Rating

DANIEL AKPEYI 7/10
Put up a brave performance in what was his first competitive game for the Super Eagles. Made two brilliant saves on 39 minutes and could do nothing to prevent the Pharaohs from scoring the winner.

SHEHU ABDULAHI 4/10
A below-par showing from the Uniao Madeira of Portugal defender. He was constantly caught out of position especially in the first half and contributed little going forward.
EFE AMBROSE 5/10
The Celtic man did well to curtail the Pharaohs attackers, but couldn't prevent them from scoring the decisive goal. He also lost possession a few times.
GODFREY OBOABONA 6/10
Solid as ever, but was unfortunate to end up on the losing side.
STANLEY AMUZIE 3/10
Surprisingly kept his place in the starting eleven and put up a shoddy display in the game. He was rightly substituted at the start of the second half after an error-prone performance.
OGHENEKARO ETEBO 4/10
Couldn't replicate his first leg performance. He make little impact in the game and was substituted due to injury.
MIKEL OBI 5/10
The Chelsea midfielder had an average game although he started well, controlling the midfield early on. He however failed to lift his side to get a positive result from the game.
Read Also: Enough! Taiwo Cautions Eagles Stars Against Bragging To Beat Egypt
AMINU UMAR 4/10
A surprise inclusion in the starting line up. Umar toiled hard to make an impression in the game with no success.
AHMED MUSA 3/10
Another horrific display from the winger. Never made any significant impact in the game for the entire 90 minutes he spent on the pitch.
VICTOR MOSES 8/10
Unarguably Super Eagles best player in the game. Came close to getting the equalising goal late in the game when his shot hit the post.
ODION IGHAL0 4/10
Yet to make an impact on the international stage. The Watford forward struggled to get going and had a poor game by his Premier League standards.
SUBSTITUTES
ELDERSON ECHIEJILE 5/10
Took the place of Stanley Amuzie at the start of the second half and did little to change the complexion of the game.
AZUBUIKE IKECHUKWU 6/10
The defensive midfielder helped stabilise the Super Eagles midfield when he came on for the injured Oghenekaro Etebo. He surely has a big future ahead of him.
ALEX IWOBI 6/10
Brought some life into the Super Eagles attack when he replaced Aminu Umar in the 72 minute.
