I was impressed with the play, I used this to console myself, but was angry that siasia had to play a lone striker(Ighalo) in a game we needed to win badly.

I'm a true Nigerian, and I feel the probing pain through my heart due to our failure to qualify for the tournament consecutively; the ouster of super eagle or the failure to qualify for the tournament back-to-back is a dent on our image as an "African football house".
We were hendecasyllabic in players just like the Egyptians, but we were not focused in the first-leg.

Comme ci , comme ca , they had a good play, unfortunately, they lost.

The Chadians withdrew from the qualifiers due to lack of funds to prosecute their remaining games in the qualifications. This decision by the Chadians puts us in the outright position of 'non-qualification' (permit me to put it this way) having lost to Egypt yestetday.

My question is, can we get the Chadians to rescind their decision if we take up the responsibility of funding their remaining matches and paying their players allowance? as this could still give our second place position in the group the needed value of qualifying us.

NB: I know we find it hard to pay our players and coaches , but trust Nigeria/Nigerians in a situation like this; we can play the big brother to our neighbors especially when we are going to benefit from them( e.g multinational task force , ceding of bakassi peninsula to cameroon , etc).

Wow ... That was really out of the box

I like the way you think, but the problem is that our president has traveled again, he's on a nuclear vacation, xo anything sports related is off his tabs

On a second note... What if they cannot qualify for play offs, because Tanzania may play another draw with them and even the chadians may draw them too

Besides CAF wouldn't even allow a return... But we have the luxury of imagination still

No, we can't afford to play big brother at this time when we ourselves need all the money we can get. Not even especially over a football tourney that won't hurt lives unnecessarily.

And again, what is the assurance that we would even finish second best?

you don't want to acknowledge the importance "sense of unity" we enjoy across the nation when we play international football matches.

If we don't try we can't know the outcome. We shouldn't pre-empt the outcome- it's a 2-way thing.

CAF knows the importance of having a country like Nigeria at the tournament. If chad decides to come back maybe give the reason that they can't pay the fine and have found another way of funding the remaining qualifiers, they should be considered and 're-integrated ' into the qualifiers.

If there's any article of CAF that for forbids that , just let me know pls.

the minister of sports and those at glass house should do the job they were employed to do. BUHARI can't do their job for them.

I think there's an ethical issue involved here. If by any chance we are allowed to sponsor Chad, automatically Chad are indebted to us. So they may feel an obligation to pay us back in kind not monetarily but by trying to go easy on us in the qualifiers which is an uncanny form of match fixing. Even telling them to play full strength against us wouldn't change that because it is only natural to want to return a favour. By extension, this would go against the spirit of fair play. Another point here is that we are only making this offer seeing the uphill task ahead. We knew before the Egypt game that Chad were disqualified, we did nothing. All of a sudden we are now acting as big brothers to satisfy our selfish interest. Granted that there is no evil per se in seeking out all alternatives in salvaging an already lost cause, still I think that it raises a lot of issues especially ethical ones. But this is my opinion, maybe others may view it differently.

Qualiwetin?

President Buhari should disband the Super Eagles until further notice. angry

Sack all the coaches too.. Their Salary too cost.

We don't have money to be wasting on sports when boys for street never chop. angry

The Boys should sponsor themselves for the remainder of the tournament. They should also train themselves, House themselves and kit themselves. If they qualify, we will refund them, if they dont, na their wahala.

Two Communities Pankshin and
Langtang in Plateau State, Nigeria
decided to organize a drinking
competition. One week to the
competition Pankshin Community
sent a delegate Rotgak to
confirm if the competition will
still hold. As the delegate Rotgak
got there, the people of Langtang
brought 50 litres of their
strongest burkutu as kola.
Rotgak asked if he can test. He
was permitted. He finished the
whole 50 litres and said; This
one is okay, where's the main
drink?. The people of Langtang
shouted; Are you among the
competitors?. Rotgak replied; No,
I did not qualify from my own
community am just a
delegate. — with Ngushual

Football has rules, you don't just wake up one morning to manufacture rules. A pity we ain't qualifying no thanks to Chad that denied us the possibility of 2nd place or even best loser slot. 2 possible means of qualifying was denied us cos of Chad.

I've always dreamt of a Tournament where Nigeria's Success is not based on Team A winning Team C while Team E draws Team F with Team B and Team D losing by 3 Goals each...mtcheeeew!

Lol, keep dreaming bro. There's nothing like that, am a passionate fan too but nigeria can't bring football to ridicule bcoz of qualification. If we should pay for their expenses it amounts to match fixing

I thought of this earlier that if we had pre-knowledge of their withdrawal we could have footed their bills! cheesy But there must not be short-cuts to success, work hard and smart for it!
