No but in your sponsor account must be school fees + CAD 13,000 + enough money for other dependants. Now if you are sponsoring yourself, the same applies to you. Good luck.

(4.2/5)*100 =90% so you have 90% which is above the 80% he/she is looking for. So yes!

If you have a source for funding, let him/her know, your admission is 40% sure, as long as you have the money to pay, d 60% now depend on you and your supervisor's ability to fight for you during admission process.

Tell him/her that the language of taught throughout your undergraduate was English that you can get him/her a proof of proficiency in English from your university (if you can get it, if you can't don't tell him/her that). And tell him/her that if test of English as a FOR ign language is a compulsory requirement, that you won't mind registering for it.

If he/she is impressed, he/she may interview you on Skype, work with you to develop your proposal and God will grant your effort will success. Best of God
Sorry sir, 4.2/5 is 84%...I wish to apply for 2017 fall(U of S), when do you think is the right time to talk to a supervisor.

Pls someone should answer me, I'm begging.

You can reapply the next day if you feel you have satisfied the reasons for previous denial

But I would advice you to request for your gcms file first, no need to rush

84%, correct,my bad. When the school roll out advert, and you have ur academic transcripts. You can also check individual staff webpage of the department you're interested in, some may have grants and will be in search of research assistant or graduate assistant. So u can contact them showing interest.

Some schools waive GRE/GMAT/TOEFL etc . in Manitoba, some department, waive all those test of English. Contact a potential supervisor that u may be willing to work with or the admission officer in ur department to request if it can be waived.

I applied to Manitoba, department of community health sciences without TOEFL and was given admission, most of d work was done by my supervisor over there.

So contact someone to find out
hello Bro, I am also included in seeking admission to u of m. I have mailed one of my potential supervisors and the dept that I wish to be admitted but I did not receive any response from them. please kindly advise. I would like to go for thesis based program for the winter entry. Your response will be appreciated. thanks a million

Ever met a university of Toronto applicant here?
Been four month have been waiting for decision from Ryerson and Toronto. Is that healthy? Or Are they trying to pack all funds for my funding?
Success in your endeavors. Shalom!

If you have a degree already, and you are applying for a 2year diploma, then be prepared to drop your Bsc blah blah blah when applying for your trv...never you mention it....just look for what to fill in the gaps in your education......and apply with just your Olevels...that was what a friend of mine did and he got his trv....and he is 33years old...
topacs:

Seriously u just go me thinking twice with dis advice, wat about hnd elect/elect wit IT experience apply for a 2 year diploma in computer system and networking....Plz kindly advice..Thanks.

The Faculty of Graduate Studies reviews recommendations for admission from the department and it is their decision which is final. If you fulfill all requirements, you will get a formal letter of admission for use with Canadian Immigration.

In some cases like mine, you'll need to formally acknowledge the letter of admission via payment of a tuition deposit to get an official acceptance letter.

Boss Jengbetiele, I hope this is accurate smiley

tolumuntari, please clarify what the $100 is meant for. Most schools accept that fee prior/during the admission application.

I beg to differ...how did you come about your information about age restrictions for diploma programs?are you a visa officer? there aint no such thing as that bro...
Haustraliah:

Refusal rate is higher on PGD when to compare with masters.
Pgd of any other diploma programs have age restrictions.
Masters program is the best and success rate is higher.
Wish you the best.

Well i will advise you write your target departmental secretaries asking for an update. Include your tentative student number and all necessary details in the formal letter. Goodluck sire

Well schools may be different in the way they treat applications, but a general overview of what happens when you apply is that your file goes to school of graduate studies first and what they do basically is to check if you meet up with the expected general requirement for admission to graduate school and they ensure your supporting document are up-to-date after which they verify the authenticity. If you do meet up then they forward your file to your proposed department for review by the departmental board chaired by the head of department and other professors. What the board assess majorly is your last two years, your statement of intent and every core course you have taken as an undergrad and your grades in those courses. For those of us in Computer science and it related field we all know all schools will teach you operating systems, computer architecture, Programming, Computer networking......etc These are the core courses been offered in every curriculum around the world. Na this kain courses they watch out for and your corresponding grades. Sometimes they check your experience too it all depends on the requirements of your course. If you pass here, then depending on either project or thesis route they forward your file to supervisors in the areas you specified while applying. If they can't get you a supervisor due to one reason or the other they keep your file open for awhile before they reject . If you choose project then they admit you. Remember it is like a competition between you and other students. They do not admit too much like our system in Nigeria. A department may admit just 30 students or less in a year self depending on the number of space available. So you may pass all the stages and fail during benchmark with other applicants too. On the issue of payment, colleges do mandate students to pay some part of their tuition to reserve there spot. I don't know if some universities does that too. The application fee is $100 for the most part and you pay this whenever you want to submit your application for processing. I hope this answers your questions. Goodluck wink

It will be indicated on your letter of acceptance while some school will attach a separate letter stating how much your funding is worth
