1. A New Life
Ashley's P.O.V.
"Ashley you better come here right now!" I heard my step dad, Rob, yell from my bedroom. Tears started forming in my eyes as I walked down the hall to find him sitting at the kitchen table. It was only me and him ever since my mom died and my brother went off to college. "Where did you go last night?" He yelled as I slowly walked towards him. "I don't know what you're talking about.." I said quietly, but not quiet enough for him not to hear me. He walked over to me and slapped me across the face, which released the tears that were sitting in my eyes. "I'm not stupid Ashley! I know you snuck out last night!" He said waving his finger in my face. "I went to Jade's we had a school project that's due on Monday and YOU wouldn't let me go over, we had to finish it tonight since she is going away for the rest of the weekend!" my voice was rising. "You're grounded." he said walking past me. "That's new!" I yelled after him. Bad idea. He came back and slapped me again. "Don't backtalk. It's not ladylike" He was trying to be funny. Ha. well two can play at that game. "Yeah you would know about being a lady wouldn't you!" he pushed me over "You think that's funny!?" He yelled but I didn't answer him so he then kicked me in the stomach making the tears come faster. "No!" I answered, my voice shaking. With no more words said he started walking towards his room, tears streaming down my face. I didn't even care if he heard me this time, I got up and ran outside. It was raining and I could hear Rob yelling after me, Threatening me, but I didn't care. I needed to get out of there. I ran until it hurt, and by that time I wasn't really sure where I was. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and looked at the time, it was almost midnight. I came up on a small park and decided to rest. I think I am far enough away from my house that I won't be found by Rob, if he was even out looking for me that is. I sat down on a swing for a while and thought about where to go. I can't go to Jade's.. that would be too obvious and she is gone anyways. She is my only friend... other than Jade's I have no where to go. Not only should I have thought about where to go, but I should've thought about bringing some money or clothes, but I guess all that really matters is I got out of there. I didn't know what was going to happen so I decided to just keep walking until morning.

Harry's P.O.V. I was looking out my window from my house, thinking about the past couple of months with the boys. I never thought it would get any better, but our second album has been released and we are going on tour again in a couple of months. "Harry! Breakfast!" I ran down to the kitchen and kissed my mum on the cheek. "Morning" she said. "Morning!" I grabbed some eggs and tea and sat at the table and was soon joined by my mum. "How did you sleep?" She asked. "Good" I smiled as I took a bite of my eggs. I was looking out the window just loving the fact that I'm home when I saw a girl walking. She was soaked.. she must have been walking in the rain showers last night. She looked rather tired as well. I could tell she had no idea where she was going and she had been crying. "Excuse me mum" I said getting up from the table and going up to the girl. I completely forgot I was wearing only sweatpants until the chill hit me. "Um, excuse me, are you okay?" I asked her, she looked at me with a confused face. "I-I'm fine." she said shivering and trying to continue walking, I stepped in front of her. "Are you sure? You don't really look like you know where you're going." "Yeah I'm just-" she looked at me and sighed. "You're right, I don't but I'll be fine. Don't worry about me." She walked around me so this time I grabbed her arm to stop her. "Why don't you come dry off." She turned to face me, there was a short silence, but she slowly nodded her head and followed me inside. I brought her to the kitchen, "Mum this is.. uh" I hesitated, I had forgotten to get her name. "Ashley." she interrupted shaking my mum's hand. "Hi Ashley" My mum answered. "Ashley isn't really sure where she is going and is a little wet from walking in the rain last night I'm guessing." I looked at her for confirmation and she nodded. "Do you think she could dry off a little?" "Yes, of course! Come with me!" she motioned for Ashley to follow her, and brought her up to Gemma's bedroom. "You can borrow a few of Gemma's clothes." She handed Ashley sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt then brought her to the bathroom so she could change. "What did you mean when you said she wasn't sure where she was going?" My mum asked whispering. We were standing in the hallway, a few doors down from the bathroom. "Well, when I saw her walking, she looked lost so I thought I would see if she needed help. She didn't know where she was-" Ashley walked out of the bathroom with her wet clothes in her hands and her wet brown hair in a bun. "Here let me take those" My mum said taking the wet clothes from Ashley and bringing them to the dryer. "Thank you." Ashley said to me. "You're very welcome." I said giving her a warm smile. We stood there for a short time in silence until my mum quickly rejoined us. "Ashley, Why don't you stay here. Harry's sister is away so we have a perfectly good room for you to stay in-" "I couldn't.. I don't want to take advantage of you or anything.." Ashley said. "You wont be! And you would only have to stay a couple days or until you figure things out, okay?" Ashley looked at me then back at my mum. "Okay..." She said quietly. My mum smiled and showed Ashley to her room, I think she was happy a girl will be in the house for a while with Gemma being away and all. But there was a little piece of me that wished she stayed longer than she planned.

2. Adapting

Ashley's P.O.V.

I was in my new, temporary, bed room just sitting on the bed just thinking, When I heard a knock on the door that interrupted my thoughts. "Come in" I yelled, Harry slowly peaked his head in the door then came all the way in, wearing a shirt. Thank god. "Comfortable?" he asked. "As comfortable as I could be." I replied with a small smile. he nodded then moved a little closer to the bed shoving his hands in his pockets. "If you don't mind me asking, Why were you out walking and how long were you walking for?" I motioned for him to come sit, so he sat at the far side of the bed. I probably shouldn't put all of this on him after we just met but I kinda wanted to talk about it since I never did with anyone else. Also something about him felt, safe. "My step dad... he abused me." I said quietly, Harry's face looked concerned. "He completely blocked me from the outside world, and I have no idea why, but I was constantly grounded." I was looking at the floor trying not to cry but I could feel Harry's eyes on me. I started twiddling my thumbs, "Before I left we had gotten in a fight. I snuck out the night before to my friends house to work on a school project. He didn't like that too much." I lifted my shirt to reveal the bruise on my stomach that he gave me and I quickly put it back down "when I left I just walked until, well I got here, so all night." "Oh my god... " Harry said, a little speechless. "sorry I'm dumping all this on you.." I said quietly looking at him. "It okay, really." he said. there was a silence so I felt like I needed to continue. "My mum died a couple months ago.. and my brother left so, it was just me and my step dad.." Harry grabbed my hand. "I'm so sorry." He said looking into my eyes. Tears were forming and I couldn't help it. "Please stay here as long as you need to, to figure everything out. There is no rush," I smiled and nodded, wiping the tears from my eyes. "Tell me about you." I said trying to change the subject. "not much to me other than I'm-" "In One Direction? Yeah. You're on my friend's wall" He laughed and I smiled. "That would be me!" He said. "Well if you need anything, I'm across the hall." Harry said getting up and going towards the door. "Will do, and thanks again... for listening and well for everything." I smiled. "You're welcome" He smiled back and left to go to his room.


Harry's P.O.V.

I woke up and went straight to the kitchen to grab some tea, then joined my mum at the table. "Hi mum!" I said with a smile. "Hi Harry!" she replied. "Where is Ashley?" I asked sitting next to her. "Job search. She insisted on giving me some amount of income." "You're not going to take her money are you?" I said with a smile already knowing the answer. "No, I would never!" I laughed and took a sip of my tea. "You know she is a very pretty girl." "I know.." I said quietly. "You two would be cute." "Aw Mum. Don't tell me you're going to play matchmaker" I said to her, she shrugged and smiled. I just smiled back. "Don't push her mum, she has been through a lot." "I don't need to push to get you two together, your living in the same house. It's bound to happen." "Thank you mum!" I said with a little sarcasm and we laughed. Later in the day I was sitting in the living room relaxing when Ashley walked in the door. She plopped down next to me on the couch. My mum must have lent her some nice clothes for her interviews. "Any luck?" I asked, she sighed. "Nope." she slouched farther down on the couch "You need some cheering up" she looked confused. "Come on!" I got up and grabbed my jacket and she did the same. "its still winter for a few more weeks, lets go ice skating." "I haven't been Ice skating in years!" She said with a smile. "Me either." She laughed as we went out the door and made our way to the ice skating rink. Once we got there we rented some skates and sat down to put them on. "I'm not gonna lie. I'm a little nervous..." Ashley said, I laughed. "Don't be!" I smiled and Ashley tried to stand up on the skates but she couldn't keep her balance so I quickly caught her from falling over. "Careful!" I said, she looked at me and was blushing. We got on the ice slowly and both of us were just trying to stay on our feet, so I grabbed her hand. "Don't let me fall!" I said to her jokingly and she laughed. We went around the rink a few times both of us falling and laughing at ourselves. But we needed to get back since it was getting pretty late. Once we did I made some hot chocolate for both of us and joined her in the living room. she was sitting on the couch with her knees up to her face. I handed her the hot chocolate and sat next to her. "Thank you for taking my mind off of everything." She said looking at me with sincere eyes. "You're welcome" I got up and put in a movie as we both got comfortable on the couch. Before I knew it Ashley was asleep on my shoulder and I fell asleep pretty quickly after her.

3. Different


Ashley's P.O.V.

I woke up forgetting where I was until I looked
around remembering what had happened in the
past couple days. I couldn't believe everything,
it
all seemed like a dream, or should I say
nightmare. I have no job, I can't stay here my
whole life, and If I go back home who knows
what Rob will do to me. Just then the door
opened, interrupting my thoughts. and Harry's
mom popped in.
"Hi, how did you sleep?" She asked walking over
to the bed. I sat up and moved the hair out of
my
face when I remember that I hadn't fallen
asleep
in here and got very confused.
"pretty good." I said with a smile, she smiled
back.
"So what do you think about going out to get
you
some clothes today? Harry is still asleep and I
figured we could have a little girl time, I haven't
gotten much since my daughter left."
"I'd love to, but I have no money and I don't
feel
right taking yours when I am already living in
your house.." She smiled and came over and put
her hand on my shoulder.
"Ashley, if I didn't want to give you my money I
wouldn't offer." I smiled a little.
"Can I pay you back? I'm hoping to get a job
soon.."
"If you're going to give me money you are only
giving me half of what I spend" I laughed and
nodded to agree. She left the room to let me
change into just sweatpants and a t-shirt. I went
downstairs and she was sitting at the kitchen
table waiting for me. "Ready to hit it?" I
laughed.
"Yeah"
"Oh and by the way I never really introduced
myself," she stuck out her hand, "I'm Anne" I
smiled and took her hand to shake it. "Okay
now
we can go!" We went out to the car and she
drove us to a couple stores and we bought a lot
of nice things. Our last stop was Top Shop and
we were looking through a rack of clothes when
she brought up something I never thought she
would. "What do you think about Harry?" she
was
looking at me with a big smile.
"He's a nice guy.." I hesitated. She inched closer
to me looking for more but when I didn't say
anything she just added to what she was saying.
"I think he may like you" she said still having the
biggest smile on her face.
"Um... I'm not to sure about that." I could feel
the
heat running to my face.
"Well, I sure am" She just kept looking at me like
she was trying to read my mind. so I just turned
my attention back to the clothes. When we were
done we had spent almost all day shopping and
Anne had picked out most
of my clothes, which
you could tell because they were all things I
wouldn't normally wear.
We got back and Harry was on the couch. "Hey!
Have a nice girls day out?" Harry asked standing
up.
"We sure did!" Anne said. I smiled at Harry who
had smiled back. We brought all my new clothes
up to my room, Harry
helping because there
were quite a few bags. "Do you want to go out
for dinner?" Anne asked
out of the blue.
"Sure!" Harry said.
"Great! Ashley, would you let me help you get
ready? I think we should go somewhere nice."
"Um, yeah thats cool with me." She clapped and
went to her room to get ready first leaving me
and Harry alone.
"She really misses all the girl time she got with
Gemma, I think you're making her really happy"
I laughed.
"It's the least I could do, I mean everything you
two have done for me after only meeting me a
few days ago, I feel like I need to buy out all of
England to make it up to you." Harry laughed.
"No need for that!" I smiled and looked down. It
felt like in no time
Anne came back in a very
elegant dress with makeup on.
"Harry go get ready!" Harry left the room and
Anne turned to me. "Go grab that grey dress we
got you with the sparkly heels and meet me in
the bathroom!" she skipped out and I laughed
to
myself. I did as she said and went into the
bathroom seeing Hair things and makeup lining
the counter. Well this is different.


Harry's P.O.V.

I was waiting in the living room for my mum and
Ashley and it was getting a little late. "Mum! We
should probably get going!" I yelled up the stairs
as my mum started walking down the stairs and
came up to me.
"Calm down she is coming! and just a little tip,"
she started whispering. "Ashley isn't too confident in her new look so compliment her.
Yeah?"
"Course mum."
"Ashley! Are you coming?" my mum yelled
getting her purse.
"Yeah!" Just then Ashley walked down in a grey
dress and heels. Her hair down and curled with
just a little makeup on. She came up to me and
my mum, I was literally speechless. Until my
mum subtly elbowed me.
"Ashley you look, great" I said, she blushed and
looked down.
"Thanks.." We got in the car and drove to some
fancy restaurant I have never been to before.
We
had reservations so we got to our table quickly.
My mum figured out a way to get me and Ashley
sitting next to each other, she was having to
much fun with this matchmaker thing. We got
our drinks, and ordered our meal when my
mums phone started to ring.
"Oh, this should only take two seconds!" She got
up and went outside to take the phone call.
"Is you're mum trying to get you a girlfriend?"
Ashley said with a giggle. I got a little
embarrassed.
"She's just trying to make me happy. I've dated
a
couple of bad girls in the past. I think she just
really likes you and doesn't want you to leave."
I
said, knowing that my mum really was trying to
get me to date Ashley but I was trying to make
the conversation a little less awkward.
"Yeah she kept asking questions about you
today." Ashley said.
"Like what?" I was curious.. but more about the
answers than the actual questions though.
"Like what I thought of you-"
"What do you think of me?" I looked at her and
she was gazing back, and smiling.
"do you really want to know?" She asked.
"Yeah!"
"I said you were a nice boy." She said with a
satisfied look on her face.
"Thats it?" I said nudging her, acting
disappointed. But it wasn't really acting..
"Yes, thats it." We laughed and she looked into
my eyes.
"You know you really do look beautiful tonight."
She turned away, her cheeks turning pink.
"You don't look too bad yourself" She said
quietly.
"Aww its nothing, just something I found in the
back of my closet. We laughed as my mum
came
back to the table. We ate our dinner and talked
for most of the night so by the time we got back
it was pretty late, my mum went straight to bed
and Me and Ashley both went into our rooms. I
tried to sleep but I couldn't so I went to go get
a
glass of water. When I came back I noticed
Ashley's light was still on so I poked my head in
and she was reading a book. She looked up and
saw me.
"Hey" she said. I came all the way into the
room.
"Whats up?"
"Can't sleep." I said sitting on the far side of the
bed.
"me either. I saw this book on the bedside table
and just started to read it."
"Well sorry to interrupt you in all of your fun!"
"No its quite alright! It was boring anyways." She
put the book back on the table and looked at
me.
"What?" I asked. She smiled and looked away.
"Nothing, just thinking."
"About?" she started fiddling with her hands.
"How lucky I am right now. That you found me,
that I got away from my step dad. Everything."
she looked up at me and smiled.
"I'm lucky I found you too."
"How?" she looked confused.
"Not only are you making my mum happier,
you're making me happier." I smiled at her and
she smiled back and shook her head a little.
"You're one of the most famous boys on the
planet right now. And I make you happier?"
"Yeah.." we smiled at each other and talked for
a little bit longer
before I went back to my bed. But
I still couldn't sleep.

4. Scared

Ashley's P.O.V.
It was the morning and it was pretty early but I couldn't fall back asleep, so I just went down stairs and made myself a cup of tea. I sat at the kitchen table and just thought for a while. About Harry mostly... I'm starting to get feelings for him. But I can't decide if its a good thing or a bad thing. So, I finished my tea, washed my cup and put it back where I found it. I went to the couch put the T.V. on quiet and before I knew it I was asleep. "Ashley? You should probably wake up it's almost 12" I jumped a little and opened my eyes to see Harry. "Is it really 12?" I asked groggily. "Pretty much" He laughed. "You want some lunch?" "Yeah sure, Let me help you" I got up off the couch and walked with Harry to the kitchen. He pulled out stuff to make a sandwich and I watched as he started building it. "You sure you can handle that?" I asked him sarcastically. "I think I can manage" he turned and winked at me. "It may come as a surprise to you but I make a mean sandwich" I laughed as I watched him put mustard on so just to gross him out I took my finger and swiped a little mustard off the bread and licked it off my finger. "That is disgusting!" "no its not!" "You're disgusting how do you do that!?" "Like this!" this time I took a little and instead of eating it I put it on his cheek. "That was uncalled for!" He said turning to me. "Yeah?" I laughed as he came closer to me with the mustard bottle in his hands and put it over my head. "Don't you dare." Then he squeezed mustard into my hair and I squealed, I couldn't help it. I looked around to look for something to get him back with. Then I saw the flour and a devilish smile came across my face. It's cliche but messy! So I quickly ran over to it, grabbed a handful and threw it in his face. He was trying to hide his smile, I could tell but it wasn't working. I ran into the living room away from him but when I turned to see where he was I tripped over the table and Harry was right behind me making him trip over me. So he was lying on top of me on the living room floor. Flour on his face mustard in my hair. Talk about awkward. He smiled at me and I smiled back. "I brought you something" Harry whipped out his hand which was in a fist and before I could say anything there was flour on my face. "Thanks Harry" I said sarcastically with a little laugh. "Anything for you" He said quietly as his lips started getting closer to mine. I was getting butterflies, I had never kissed a boy before.. being trapped in a house had a lot of downfalls. I closed the gap between me and him and instantly felt a shiver go down my back. We pulled away and once we did Harry had a big smile on his face. "I care about you Ashley.." "yeah?" "Yeah" he said with a smile. I giggled and he finally got up reaching his hand down to help me up. I took it and we went to the kitchen to wash the flour off our faces, and the mustard out of my hair, When the doorbell rang. "Ashley, would you mind getting that? I need to go grab the vacuum and clean the living room." "Yeah, sure." I left the kitchen and went to go open the door but when I did I was not pleased. A girl. 10 times prettier than me. "Um. Who are you?" She asked crossing her arms over her chest and giving me a dirty look. "Ashley, and you?" "Megan. Is Harry here?" She asked still giving me the worst look ever. I tell ya if looks could kill, I'd be lying on this floor right now, dead. I was about to answer her when I heard a bang behind me. I looked to see Harry so stunned he had dropped the vacuum. "Harry!!!" The girl said running past me knocking my shoulder and embracing Harry in a hug then quickly let go. "Why haven't you answered my texts?" She asked. Harry looked straight to me and I had an angry look on my face that I wasn't trying to hide. "Yeah, Harry, Why haven't you?" tears starting to form in my eyes. "Ashley.." he said but I just ran into 'my room' and locked it, tears running down my face. It didnt take long for me to hear a knock on the door. "Ashley! Let me explain please!" I opened the door a little bit. "Explain what? Why you said you cared about me when there is obviously another girl in your life? Because I would really like to know what that was about." "Ashley I had a thing with her..." "good explanation!" I tried closing the door but he put his hand in the way and came in. "You didn't let me finish." I looked at him with sad eyes. "I had a thing with her before I met YOU. Why do you think she was asking me why I didn't answer her texts? because I stopped talking to her after I met YOU." "How do I know you mean that?" I said quietly. "Ashley. The minute I saw you walking down the street I wanted to be in your life I didn't care how I just wanted to be a part of it. Trust me I would never want to hurt you Ashley!" I just looked at him for the longest time tears streaming down my face. "I'm sorry I overreacted.. but no guy has ever said they cared about me before and when I saw that girl thats prettier than me.. It all seemed to good to be true." Harry moved closer and tucked the hair behind my ear. "It's true. All of it." He moved in and kissed me sweetly on the lips. then pulled away and rested his forehead on mine. "Any guy would be lucky to have you." He pulled me into a hug and I hugged him back. I felt safe. I felt like nothing else mattered anymore now that I was in his arms. This all seemed to be happening too soon. But I didn't care anymore.

5. Weekend Harry's P.O.V. I didn't sleep too well last night, the whole thing with Megan and Ashley kept coming back to my head. Ashley looked so hurt.. I never want to see that look on her face again. Trying to forget about it I got up and went downstairs. I saw My mum and Ashley talking at the kitchen table. They were both smiling and laughing, which made me smile. I sat down at the table and joined the conversation. "So, I have good news, I got a call back from Starbucks and I start tomorrow!" Ashley said. "Oh, thats great Hun." My mum said. "Yeah thats awesome! We will have to come visit you" I said and she shook her head. "No, really you don't have to." "But what if I want to?" I said leaning towards her, giving her the puppy dog face. "Fine, just don't get me fired on my first day" She laughed, so did I. "Now how could I get you fired?" "I'm sure you would find a way" I gave her a little shove and she just laughed. "Speaking of jobs, I will be away for the weekend. Will you two be okay here by yourselves?" My mum said. Ashley and I looked at each other. "I think we will do well, Harry Is a mean sandwich maker." Ashley said, quoting me from yesterday. "You know it." I winking slightly so my mum couldn't see. "Okay then, I leave tonight so I have to go pack." My mum got up from the table and left the room but peeked back in two seconds later with a smirk across her face. She was definitely on to us. So while my mum was packing me and Ashley decided to play a card game. So we moved to the living room floor. "Ever played bullshit?" Ashley asked. I shook my head. "Nope" She gave me a shocked look. "Then you haven't lived!" I laughed at her. "You laugh but I'm serious." she tried to keep a serious face but it broke and she started laughing. She explained the game to me, seemed easy enough. she put a card in the middle of the floor. "One Ace." she said. I looked at my deck, I didn't have any 2's so I took a 3. "One two." "Bullshit." she said almost instantly. "What?" "Bullshit." A smile grew on her face as I picked up the two cards in the middle, the one she put down wasn't even an ace. I looked at her and she raised her eyebrows at me. "Have I mentioned that every time I play this, I win?" "Um, you forgot to mention that part." we laughed and kept playing. I had basically the whole deck in my hand while she only had two left. "two tens" Ashley said putting down her final cards. What are the odds she had two tens since I had most of the deck.. "Bullshit." I said. She motioned for me to look at them so I picked them up and there I saw, two tens. "How do you do it?" "I've gotten pretty good at lying." Ashley said. "And I can read you like a book." She laughed. "Oh really?" I chuckled and she nodded. I leaned in and was about to kiss her when, "Okay you two I'm off!" I heard my mum say at the bottom of the stairs. We moved away from each other as fast as we could. Then I got up and kissed my mum on the cheek. "Have a good weekend!" She said waving her way out the door as both me and Ashley waved back. When she was gone Ashley had moved onto the couch. I jumped right next to her and put my arms on the back of the couch. "So now what?" I asked. She just looked at me. "No clue." We laughed. "Want to go for a swim?" her jaw dropped. "It's still winter!" "Thats what makes it all the more fun!" I got up and took her hand. "Come on, I'll be here to warm you up after" I winked at her and she just shook her head while laughing. We went upstairs to get dressed and when I came out I saw Ashley wrapped in a towel. "I'm already cold!" She said. I helped her up and brought her outside and she started to shiver even more. "Okay One jump in then get out, you gonna be okay?" She nodded and took off her towel revealing a bikini, but I was too caught up in her eyes to even notice. "Ready? One," We walked closer to the edge of the pool, "Two, Three!" we both jumped in and it was so cold it literally took my breath away. We got out as fast as we could, grabbed the towels and ran inside. Laughing hysterically. Ashley then smacked me on the arm. "What was that for!?" "Peer pressure!" I laughed even harder as we went to change. I went downstairs and made hot chocolate. When Ashley joined me she had on leggings, a sweatshirt, with her wet hair in a bun and a bandanna as a headband, adorable. She started shaking her head at me. And I just chuckled as I handed her a hot chocolate and went into the living room. I joined her a minute or two later she was wrapped in a blanket. I put my hot chocolate on the table so I could wrap my arms around her and turned on Love Actually. "I Love this movie!" Ashley said. "Really? me too!" "One of my favorites." she looked up at me and smiled. I looked down at her. "Sorry this is random. and you probably don't want to think about it, but what would you do if your step dad... found you?" she looked down. "I would probably fly to America. get the money somehow to go find my Aunt." I nodded. I just wanted to know she was safe if that guy did ever show up here. but we shook it off and started the movie. Cuddling for the rest of the night.

Ashley's P.O.V.
I woke up the next morning in Harry's arms on the couch. I loved it, I didn't want to move but then I looked at the time and hopped off the couch and startled Harry. "What's wrong!?" "I'm going to be late for my first day of work!" I ran upstairs got dressed and booked it out the door saying a quick goodbye to Harry. I spent 5 hours getting trained and cleaning. but hey, its money. I was about to leave when my boss stopped me. "Ashley, is it possible if you could work tomorrow? I know you just got hired but you're learning very quickly and If you want I can give you extra money for it." wow, I could get some money early... "Yeah! I can do that!" "Great! see you then!" I walked out the door and back to Harry's- well I guess its my house too now isnt it? Well anyways, I went back home to find Harry sleeping on the couch. So I got a cheeky idea. I went upstairs grabbed eyeliner, because I'm not too mean, and went back to Harry. Aw he looked so sweet. Until I started drawing on his face. I couldn't stop smiling, trying to keep myself from laughing. I had never gotten him back since he dumped flour on my face and I like to win. I finished and took a picture and went upstairs. a little later Harry opened my door with the drawings on his face. I burst into laughter right as he walked in I couldn't help it. He was confused until I threw him a mirror and ran before he could catch me. Not knowing where I was going I ran straight outside, In the snow. Harry followed close behind. I felt something cold hit my back and when I turned around Harry had an evil smile on his face. My jaw was nearly on the ground, I was shocked and cold. So I picked up a snowball and threw it back, quickly escalating into a snowball fight that lasted a good 10 minutes. "I can not believe you drew on my face!" He said getting closer to me. "Oh it's only eyeliner, It will come off!" I said. He came over and kissed me on the cheek and put his arm around my waist "come on lets go in." we went into the bathroom and I sat on the counter while Harry stood in front of me. I dampened a towel. and started taking off the eyeliner. "You pulled it off pretty well I must say." I laughed. "Really?" "Oh yeah! definitely!" "Bullshit." I laughed even harder and Harry joined in, then I nodded to agree and he just smiled. "There all gone!" He looked in the mirror behind me before looking back at me and kissing me. I pulled away and left the bathroom, grabbing Harry's hand and pulling him with me shortly behind we went to the couch and talked about everything, mostly life before here though. But I still couldn't believe this was my life now. Its so... weird.

6. What Was I Thinking

Harry's P.O.V
Ashley was at work for a while so I was bored here by myself. I didn't know what to do, so I just made some tea for starters. She had already been there a few hours while I was still sleeping but she still had a couple more. I thought about going to visit her but remembered I had no money. Why doesn't a popstar have any money you ask? My mum likes to keep me grounded but I do have emergency money in my mattress in case I need it but I hopefully wont anytime soon. I tapped my fingers on the table in a bored manner, then decided to turn on the T.V. what I normally turn to when I am bored and alone. I could have called a friend but I honestly felt like being alone right now. I watched T.V. for a while when I heard a knock on the door. I moaned as I got up and answered it. "Hi Harry." shit. "Megan, what are you doing here? I told you the other night that we had nothing between us. and never will." "I thought I would come back just to make sure you weren't drunk or something." she tilted her head and smiled at me, I gave her a disgusted look when she invited herself in. I kept the door open. "You can leave now." I said to her. she looked at me with a blank look. "You're picking that girl.... over me?" "That girl is Ashley. and yes, I am picking her over you." she stomped her foot and started going up stairs. oh boy. "Megan get out of my house!" I yelled after her. "You're gonna have to come make me!" she yelled down to me. I slammed the door and followed her as she went into my room. "You're crazy!" I said. she came closer to me, pouting her lip. she started drawing on my chest with her finger. "Thats not nice" I batted her finger away. "Please leave. Ashley is going to be home any minute." she looked at me for a second. "Like I said you're gonna have to make me." "What will it take to get you to leave?" "A kiss." why did I know she was going to say that? "No. get out now!" "Aww, come on Harry. Just one kiss and if you don't like it, I'll be out of your life for good!" "For good?" "Mhmm" She smiled at me. and I sighed. "Fine." I kissed her and tried to pull away but she just held me there until I heard the door open, we both pulled away. Ashley. I looked at her and she was standing there tears already streaming down her face. not again. "Ashley I-" before I could finish she ran out, but not to her bedroom. I heard the front door slam shut. I got scared I ran to the window and opened it. I yelled her name a few more times but she kept running. I saw her get on a bus. I turned around tears starting to form and thought.. Was she going to go to America? I ran to my bed got my emergency money and was about to leave until I turned to Megan and pointed at her. "You get out of my house and NEVER come back!" I ran out the door and got into the car and went to the airport. This was my only hope, If she wasn't there then I might have lost her forever. I made it to the airport and ran inside to a desk with an old man behind it. "Can I have a ticket for the next flight to America please!?" He slowly looked up at me and nodded. then slowly got my ticket ready. couldn't he tall I was in a hurry!? he handed me my ticket, I handed him money and ran to the flight. I had to rush through security but at least I didn't have any metal on. I got to the flight and one of the workers was closing the door. "WAIT!" I yelled she shot her head up and looked at me. I ran over to her "I have a ticket." I showed her the ticket and she nodded and let me in. I was in the front row so I couldn't tell if Ashley was there because I had to sit down, so all I can do Is hope.

Ashley's P.O.V.
The flight was long and boring but anything was better than staying there. When the seat belt sign turned off I got up and walked out of the plane. When I made it to the main airport I felt a huge hand grab my arm and pull me to the side. I looked up at him. "Harry?" why was he here? "I am so glad I found you. I was so worried about you." "Yeah. you looked really worried kissing that slut!" my voice was raising and people were starting to look. "Do you have any money left?" "What does that have to do with anything?" I said crossing my arms. "Do. You. Have. Money. Left." I looked down and mumbled "No." "come on we will stay the night in a hotel and figure it out from there." He grabbed my hand and I pulled mine away. "Please Ashley. I can't let you out of my site again." I looked in his eyes and he looked sad and worried, so I followed him out. We stayed at the first hotel we found. We were in the room and I was completely ignoring Harry. I was lying under the covers facing the window. "Ashley?" I didn't move. "I'm listening" "She told me the only way to get her out of my house and out of my life for good was if I kissed her one last time." I shot up and looked at him. "How did she get in, in the first place!?" "She was at the door I told her to leave and she just came in and went into my room." I just glared at him. He moved onto my bed. "Ashley. When I saw that I hurt you for the second time. I was pissed at myself but when you ran out the door and I saw you climb onto that bus.... I felt... I felt like my life was running away. And it was. I can't picture what my life would be like without you, and whether you feel the same way or not I'm going to make sure you stay in my life in someway." he kept babbling on. I just kept looking in his eyes and I could tell he meant it. Even though I didn't want to forgive him. he meant it all. "Ashley, I love you." My stomach flipped. I didn't know what to say. I just froze. but somehow the words flew out. "I love you too."

7. Awkward


Ashley's P.O.V.

I honestly can not believe I told Harry I loved
him. I was so angry at him but, I guess
that didn't change how I really felt about him.
"We need to get back to England, soon. I told
my
mum we were here but she isn't too happy with
me." I looked at Harry and he was pacing the
floor of the hotel. "I don't have enough money
to
get both of us home.."
"Harry, I talked to my Aunt yesterday before the
flight. she knows I'm here and she offered to
buy
me a train ticket to get to her house near Cape
Cod. I also talked to her this morning and she
offered to buy us plane tickets home."
"I couldn't let her do that."
"Harry, She is loaded and I think I owe it to
you."
Harry looked at me for a long time.
"Okay well, at least let me pay for train tickets
there." I nodded my head and went to go call
my
Aunt. I had talked to her for a while but when I
got off Harry was lying on the bed with his arms
over his eyes. I went over and sat next to him.
He
moved his arms off his eyes to look at me and
he
took my hand.
"there is a train tonight or we can take or one in
the morning." I said quietly.
"lets take the one tonight" I nodded and his
thumb was rubbing the palm of my hand.
"I'm sorry." I said not looking him in the eyes.
"For what?"
"I tend to run from my problems.. you might
have noticed." he sat up and sat directly across
from me.
"It's alright, a lot of people do that." I looked
down at our intertwined hands.
"I feel bad, making you spend your money like
this. I only had enough money for one plane
ticket but..."
"Ashley I don't care. I'm just glad I didn't loose
you." I looked into his eyes and I smiled a little.
"You know its impossible to stay mad at you."
He
smirked.
"I'm too adorable" I laughed at him and he
joined in. We cuddled on the bed and turned on
the T.V. and the news was on. Harry changed
the
channel.
"Wait... Harry go back." when he did I saw a
picture of my face in the corner of the screen.
"She was last seen getting on a flight to America.
If you have any leads call your local police station. Here is Carol who is talking to the step
father." the screen moved to a picture of my
step
dad. "I gave that girl the world, to think she
would run away is a shock to me. I just need to
get her back." I looked at the T.V. in disgust.
"Why is he looking for me?" I was shaking a
little.
What if he found me?
"Ashley it will be okay.. we will just have to keep
a low profile." I started shaking even more and
tears started to form at the thought of him
actually finding me. Harry started to rub my
back, but my eyes were still locked on the t.v.
when they switched to a story about
snowstorms
in upstate New York.
"Oh my god." that was all I could get out of my
mouth. My mind was running with questions but
that was all that came out.
"come on lets get ready to go." Harry got off the
bed and looked at me waiting for me to get up.
"Harry, what if someone recognizes me? They
will turn me in."
"Ashley. I will not have you taken away from me
again okay? We just have to stay on the move."
I
got up and followed Harry out the door. We got
taxi to drive us to the train station, I don't
think
he noticed me. Thank god. We had made it to
the
train station and bought tickets. We had to wait
a
good hour before the train came. Then the
actual
train ride was 4 hours long. I called my Aunt
again to tell her we were a couple stops away
and she said she would meet us there. We
made
it there without anyone saying anything to me,
and found my aunt. She had a couple of my
cousins with her as well. I gave them all hugs
and
they instantly lightened my mood.
'Hi!" My aunt Kelly yelled as I gave her a hug.
"Hi!" I smiled and pulled out of the hug.
"did you see the news this morning?"
"Um. Yeah I did.."
"Well, to tell you the truth I'm proud of you. I
told
your mom not to marry that man but she didn't
listen. I smiled a little as my little cousin,
Kendra,
took me into a hug and so did my other cousin
Kimberly.
"Oh" I pulled out of the hug and grabbed
Harry's hand.
"This is Harry. Harry this is my Aunt Kelly,
and my cousins Kendra and Kimberly." He took
there hands shaking them with a smile.
"Well lets get back! there are a lot of people who
want to see you!" I smiled still holding onto
Harry's hand. I sat in the back of the van with
Harry. It was silent the whole ride there. A little
awkward but I didn't mind it at all.

8. Family Reunion

Ashley's P.O.V.
When we got back to the house everyone was there. Aunts, Uncles, cousins, grandparents, everyone. I went around and said my hello's to everyone. "Harry, get ready for.. well the loudest family reunion ever." Harry laughed but I was serious. Most of my family is originally from Boston. That's where my mum was from as well but as soon as she could, she moved to England. But my family is very loud and all about picking on people, which can be pretty entertaining. "You got yourself a pretty boy there Ashley." My uncle Tony said coming over to us, beer in hand. Thats another thing about my family, It's not a get together without beer. "Thanks Tony." He laughed and gave me a knuckle sandwich. I laughed as well. "Tony this is Harry, Harry this is my uncle Tony." They shook hands. "Hey Harry just so you know you hurt my niece I hurt you" Tony said pointing at him a small smile on his face. "Oh, Tony!" I yelled covering my face. Harry laughed. "I would never" Harry said. I moved my hands to see Tony pat him on the shoulder. "That's what I like to hear." He walked away and me and Harry sat on a grassy hill, watching everyone swim and socialize. "You have a really great family" Harry said smiling and looking at me. "Yeah, I love them. It's hard to be away from them so much." I kept watching my cousins swimming in the pool and splashing each other. "When was the last time you saw them?" "A few months ago, for my mum's funeral." It still made me really sad when I thought about it. My aunt Kelly came up to us. "So when do you two need to get back?" My aunt asked. "Um, sooner than later." I said she nodded. "If you need a place to stay you can stay here or you can go down to our beach house for a few days if you'd like." We nodded. As it got later we had kept socializing, and catching up with the rest of the family. Once everyone had left my aunt decided that we should at least spend the night at the beach house to have "alone time" a little awkward I might say. she gave us the money for plane tickets so we wouldn't have to worry about it whenever we needed to go. So she drove us to the house and we said our goodbyes. I always visit here so much when I was little it brought back memories. "I'm going to take a shower." Harry said kissing my cheek. "Alright, shower is upstairs and to the right." he smiled at me and went to shower. I went out on the beach and the sun had started to set so I just went and sat down by the water.

Harry's P.O.V.
I got out of the shower and threw on some sweatpants. I couldn't find Ashley until I went to a window and saw her sitting in the sand. I went outside and joined her. "Everything okay?" she sighed and kept looking out to the ocean. "I've just been thinking about my mum a lot more lately." she started drawing in the sand. "The time I had spent with your mum, reminded me of mine and... everything we had done together.. we were so close." tears started to slowly move down her face. I wiped them away. She put her head on my shoulder and I wrapped my arm around her. "Harry?" "Yeah love?" "Why me?" "why you what?" she giggled. "Why do you like me so much.. I mean out of all the girls that fall for you, they are probably all prett-" "I like you because you are better than all those girls." she smiled at me and lifted her head. "I'm a little insecure if you haven't noticed." "and that is alright with me, hopefully you can learn to see that you are beautiful." I didn't even realize I was quoting our song. I told myself I would never do that but in this instance... I think it will be a good thing.

9. Day At The Beach Ashley's P.O.V. I woke up with sore eyes from crying last night. For some reason I kept thinking about either my mother or my step dad, no matter what I tried my thoughts always went back to them. I started to smell bacon so I went downstairs to see Harry in the kitchen, cooking bacon. "Where did you get that?" He turned to look at me and smiled. "found it in the fridge" I laughed "You don't have to cook you know." I moved to stand next to him and he put his arm around my waist and flipped the bacon with the other. "I know, I wanted to." I shook my head and went over to the fridge to see what was in it. I decided to pull out the orange juice, then I started some toast. "when do you want to head back?" I asked turning to faced Harry. "Well, my mum said to be back as soon as we can." I nodded then heard my phone buzz on the counter. This was the first time in weeks my phone has rung in weeks. It was Jade. "Hello?" "Ashley! Where are you!? I just got back from my trip and your evil father came over demanding to know where you were!" she was talking so loud I had to hold my phone away from my ear. "Long story short... I'm in America." "America!? Why?" "Well, the night you left I had gotten into a fight with my step dad. Out of impulse I ran away. I was going to go to your house but you were gone and obviously that is the first place to look. So I just walked in the opposite direction until morning and.. um. Stumbled upon someone who is letting me stay with them." I looked up at Harry and smiled, he was smiling right back at me eating his bacon. I laughed a little remembering how big a fan Jade is of One Direction. "Oh.." "Hey, why dont I let you know when we are back and we can meet you somewhere and you can meet my friend." Harry cleared his throat and I knew exactly what he meant by it. "I mean, boyfriend." I smiled and Harry winked at me. "What!? You found a boyfriend!? does he have friends?" I laughed at her. "Yeah he has a couple friends you might like." "Awesome! I need to go my mum is calling for me but let me know when your back!" "Sure thing! bye" she hung up and I put my phone down. "That was my friend Jade, the one who loves One Direction." Harry laughed. "I'll have to set up a time for her to meet the other boys when we get off of brake." I went over to Harry and grabbed some bacon, then finished off the toast and gave it to Harry. "When's that?" "I think its about a month now" I nodded and finished my food. "I should probably go look up flights, I'll be right back." Harry left the room to go onto the computer. I cleaned up the kitchen and looked out the window to see the waves hitting the shore. I went out on the deck and leaned against the railing, watching the waves. I felt arms wrap around me, and Harry's chin was on my shoulder. "Beautiful isnt it?" I said "Yeah, you are" I looked at him. 'You are the cheesiest boy I have ever met." He just chuckled and smiled at me. "Yeah, but you love it." I laughed. "Maybe a little." He kissed my cheek and I turned so I was facing him. "You're pretty awesome" He laughed. "Yeah I am" I laughed even harder and put my arms around his neck. and pecked him on the lips before I ran out to the water. Harry chased after me. I stopped running when I reached the edge of the water and I instantly felt Harry pick me up and I knew he was about to throw me into the water. "Harry! these are the only clothes I have!" he pouted. "You get a free pass this time." He put me down and there was a quick silence. I bent down and splashed Harry with water. "That's just not right!" I could stop laughing. I started to run but Harry just kicked more water at me. I screamed, It was freezing! Harry came over, picked me up and swung me around and to my surprise just put me back down. He kissed me, and I didnt want that moment to end.

Harry's P.O.V.
We had decided to take a flight in the morning so we had one more night at the beach house. It was a very nice house, its a good thing it was almost spring here, so it was much nicer out. We had just made sandwiches for dinner, without getting into a food fight like last time. We were eating them out on the deck, Ashley was sitting with her knees up on the chair and sipping her tea. I caught myself staring at her. She caught me too and blushed. "Why don't you use the handle of the mug?" I asked she tilted her head. "What do you mean?" I pointed to her hands. "You don't use the handle." We both laughed. "There is no use for the handle." I laughed, she had both her hands wrapped around the mug. "It's cute" She smiled. "Well thanks. I'm glad I drink tea in a cute way." I smiled at her. It was getting late and we were walking on the beach and we heard thunder. Ashley squeezed my hand. "Don't like thunder storms?" "Not really" Just then it started pouring rain and we were caught off guard. We ran back towards the house but before we went back inside I stopped. "Harry what are you doing?" Ashley was already next to the door and I was still in the sand. "Come here." I said. "Why?" she hesitated. "Trust me, just come here." She came over and I grabbed her hands. "Is everything okay?" she asked looking up at me. I was looking down at her. "yeah I just need to do something." she looked confused. "And that would be?" "Crossing something off my bucket list." I bent down and kissed her, she kissed back. In the pouring rain. It was just as magical as I always thought it would be. We pulled away, soaking wet and Ashley just smiled at me. "Kissing someone in the rain was on your bucket list?" "Not anymore" I smiled. "It was on mine too" I hugged her, then took her hand and walked inside to the warmth of the house.

10. Homecoming

Ashley's P.O.V.
We were heading home this morning, we had nothing to get together so I called my aunt for a ride to the airport, like she offered to do. When we got there it took a while to get through security and everything and once we did we had about 20 minutes before our flight. "Harry?" I asked as we sat down to wait for our plane. "Yeah?" I turned to look at him. "do you think people will know who I am back home? Like... know I ran away?" he ran his hand through his hair. "I want to say no Ashley, but I honestly don't know." I leaned on his shoulder and he put his arm around me. "I don't want him to find me Harry." he kissed the top of my head. "He won't and if he does, I'll take care of it. Okay?" I nodded and we sat in silence until our flight, but it wasn't an awkward silence. It was just an 'enjoying the moment' silence. I was glad he was there and honestly, I was glad he cared enough in the first place to come after me when I ran from him. Or else I wouldn't know what to do. Before the flight I called Jade to let her know we would be headed home soon and she said she was going to meet us at the airport. It was a long and anxious flight, I tried sleeping but I couldn't. As we got closer my stomach got more knots in it. Did people know we were coming home? Were people going to turn me in? The pilot made the announcement that we were landing and I thought I was going to throw up. Once we did Harry took my hand in his and he led me off the plane. When I got off there was no one there, I let out a sigh of relief as we went to go find Jade. We entered the area where everyone waits for the people getting off their planes and there were tons of people... with cameras. "There they are!" one of them yelled and they started snapping cameras. "Harry!" I was on the verge of tears. Harry pulled on my hand and we started pushing though the crowd. "Ashley?" I heard a familiar voice. "Jade?" I turned around to see Jade running towards me I grabbed her hand and we kept running. When we reached the door we hopped into the taxi and the driver pealed away, under Harry's orders. "Oh my god." My heart was beating a million miles a minute. I didn't know if they were there for Harry or me but either way my father was going to see those pictures, know I'm back, and look harder for me. I cupped my head in my hands. Harry put his hand on my back. "Um.. Ashley?" Jade hesitated next to me. "Yeah?" "Why is Harry Styles in the same taxi as us?" I looked up at her and she was completely starstruck. I laughed a little. "Harry this is Jade, Jade this is my boyfriend, Harry" She pulled me closer and mumbled in my ear. "You could have told me your boyfriend was Harry Styles" I knew Harry could hear because he chuckled a little. We arrived at Harry's house a little after and we payed the taxi driver what we had left for money. well now I'm completely broke and I think I might have lost my job.. We went inside and Harry's mum ran over to both of us and pulled us into a hug. "never scare me like that again!" she pulled away and we nodded and told her sorry. Then she looked over at Jade. "Anne this is Jade, my friend, Jade this is Harry's mum Anne." They shook hands and Jade looked starstruck by her too. it was kinda funny. "Nice to meet you darling" Anne said "Nice to meet you too!" Anne then turned to me. "Honey, you're all over the news.." "What?" "Every time I change the channel your there." Okay. I knew I had been on the news but I didn't realize that I was on every channel of the news. I just looked down towards the ground. Anne tried to change the subject. "So Jade do you plan on staying here for a while?" "I'm not really sure actually." Jade said shrugging her shoulders. "Well, stay as long as you would like" Anne smiled at Jade then went back to the kitchen. "I'm pretty beat. I think I'm going to head to bed" I said heading for the stairs. "Yeah me too" Harry said, "Jade you're welcome to stay in Ashley's room" Jade nodded and followed me. I got into my pajamas in the bathroom and when I came out I heard yelling downstairs. "Where is she!?" "I don't know who you're talking about." "I know she is here!! Bring me to her or you will be sorry!" oh my god. my heart was beating a million miles a minute. I ran to Harry's room and barged in, he was lying on his bed. "Harry." I said frantically. "What? What is it?" he got up and came over to me, tears filling my eyes. "Rob. He's here."

11. Trouble

Ashley's P.O.V.
My head was spinning. I didn't know what to do. "Stay here." Harry said as he went downstairs. I didn't want him to leave and go to Rob by himself. I snuck downstairs so I couldn't see anything but I heard it all. "Mum who is this?" Harry asked. "You're the guy in the pictures with Ashley." Rob said, "I knew my daughter was a slut but the fact she left me to fool around with a tool like you. Now that, I can't have." That's it I couldn't take this any longer. "Don't talk to him like that." I said coming out with tears rolling down my face. "Ashley, go upstairs." Harry said his voice shaking. "well, well, well, Here's the slut herself." He said walking towards me. "You're not my real father." He laughed. "Yes I am. I married your mother, didn't I?" "My mother was going to divorce you until she died in that car accident." He laughed even harder. "You actually believed that? You're the stupidest girl I have ever met." "What do you mean?" My fists were clenched. "Your mommy was going to divorce me, I know. That's why I killed her." I couldn't breathe. "You killed.. my mother?" "Well if I lost both you and your mother, I wouldn't have anyone to take my anger out on." "I can not believe you. You're such an asshole" He slapped me across the face. "I thought we talked about calling me shit like that." "You're crazy if you think I'm going to respect you after what you just told me." He pulled out a knife, I started backing away and breathing heavy. "I can get rid of you just like I got rid of your mother you know." I had backed all the way to the wall. I saw blue lights out the window. Rob saw me looking and turned, then was about to stab me in the stomach but I moved and he got my thigh instead. I fell to the ground, I heard the police talking in the background but after that I just blacked out.

Harry's P.O.V.
After Rob had gotten arrested we all piled into the car, me carrying Ashley, and drove to the hospital. I was freaking out, she was unconscious from the blood loss and I was scared. Once we got to the hospital a doctor came and put her on a gernie . "We need to get her into surgery asap, looks like she punctured something." They wheeled her into a closed off hallway. I ran after them but I got the doors closed on me. I went back to My mum and Jade and sat in the waiting room. Tears coming down my face. "Do you guys need anything? I'm going to go get some water." My mum asked, we both shook our heads and she left the room. "I'm so glad I called the police when I did." Jade mumbled. "You called the police?" I asked. I looked up at her, she was crying too. "yeah, I heard everything. I panicked but then I saw Ashley's phone on the bed and called them." I hugged her. "I can't thank you enough." I pulled out of the hug and leaned back in the chair. "You really love her don't you?" I nodded. "good, she needs a guy like you in her life." It felt like we waited for hours when the doctor came out of the hallway. "You may come see her now." We all got up and followed him to the room. He opened the door and let us in, and followed after us. I went over to her bed and took her hand. "We gave her anesthesia so she wouldn't wake up during the surgery, she will be fine and be able to leave either tomorrow or the day after." "When will she wake up?" I asked looking at the doctor. "It's hard to say, anesthesia last longer on some people than others." I nodded and turned back to her lying peacefully on the bed. Jade was on the other side and my mum next to me. The doctor excused himself from the room as he had other things to do. "Mum, I'm staying here tonight if you don't mind." She nodded and looked at her watch then kissed me on the forehead. "Jade why don't you come home with me and we will come back in the morning." Jade got up and hugged me goodbye, she just stared at Ashley as she left the room. I was feeling tired so I ended up falling asleep pretty soon.

12. What Now

Harry's P.O.V.
I had woken up from a bad dream, and remembered I was still at the hospital. My hand was still holding onto Ashley's. I looked at the clock and it was almost 3 in the morning. Just then I heard Ashley move. "Ashley?" She didn't respond, or move again. "Ashley?" I thought I would try again and it worked. I watched her as her eyes fluttered open. I moved to the edge of my chair. "Harry?" She blinked a couple times then moved further up in the hospital bed. "Where are we?" "We are at the hospital" A wave of terror moved over me, like this was going to end up like The Vow or something. "all of that stuff... with Rob.. it happened?" I nodded and looked down for a second. "Oh.. I thought I was dreaming. I guess that explains why my thigh hurts so much." She giggle and I joined her. Then she grabbed her thigh. "Are you okay?" I was worried. "Yeah, I'll be fine. Just a little tender." "Okay.." she looked over at the clock. "3 in the morning? Why are you still here? Shouldn't you be home?" "I wanted to stay here." she looked me in the eyes. "Harry, you would have been more comfortable in your bed." "I've almost lost you too many times for only knowing you for a week. I'm staying right at your side." She giggled and I smiled back at her. She moved over and patted her bed. "I'm not going to lie on the bed with you, you need the room and I don't want to hurt you." She looked at me and gave my the puppy dog eyes. "It will make me feel better" She smiled slightly and I just smiled and sighed. "Okay, Okay." A huge smiled grew on her face. I slid next to her and put my arm around her as she put her head on my chest. "When do I get to leave?" She asked looking up at me. "Hopefully later today or tomorrow" She nodded and grabbed the remote. She skimmed through the channels and stopped on Aladdin. "aren't you too old for this movie?" I said laughing. "You're never too old for a Disney movie." she said smiling at me. I kissed the top of her head as we watched the movie and fell asleep once it was over.

Ashley's P.O.V.
I woke up in Harry's arms, when I looked up at him he was smiling down at me. "Morning" He said. "Morning" there was a knock on the door so Harry got up and opened it. The doctor walked in and came over to me. "How are you feeling?" The doctor asked as Harry walked to the side of the bed. "Good, the leg hurts a little." he nodded and wrote some things down on his clipboard "Alright here are your meds that will get rid of the pain and I will let you know a little later on if you can leave today." "Okay" The doctor smiled at me and I slightly smiled back. He walked out the door and Harry grabbed my hand. "Thanks for being here Harry." He kissed my hand. "I couldn't be anywhere else." He smiled at me when there was another knock at the door but before Harry could get it both Jade and Anne walked in. "Ashley! are you okay?" Jade almost yelled running over to the opposite side of the bed that Harry was on. "I'll survive." I said with a smile. Harry squeezed my hand and I looked up to him. "I'm so glad you are okay, That was just about the scariest night of my life" Anne said joining Harry at his side. "Yeah definitely eventful" I said looking down. "At least you won't have to worry about him anymore." Jade said as the doctor walked in. "It looks like you can leave a little later today, but you will need crutches for a while." The doctor said standing at the head of the bed. I nodded. I started to hear a phone ringing, Harry pulled his phone out of his pocket. "I should probably take this" He said letting go of my hand and going into the hall. The doctor told me that I need to rest for a couple days then I can start doing activities and hopefully in a week I can get off my crutches. Once the doctor left Harry came back in looking a little down. "everything okay?" I asked him, he ran his hand though his hair. "Well, Looks like I'm going to America with the boys a little sooner than hoped for." We all just looked at Harry, Anne looked so upset. "Oh, when are you going?" I asked. "Couple weeks." He looked down. "Well the sooner I get out of here the sooner we don't have to worry about this anymore." Harry nodded and I was a little upset but its his job and he loves it. I don't know what I'll do without him.

13. Court

Ashley's P.O.V.
I got out of the hospital at around 2. It was nice to be able to go outside without worrying about being turned in or anything. When we got back to the house there was a letter on the door. Anne took it off and handed it straight to me. "It's for you." she said. I ripped open the letter and read it. I couldn't breathe. "I have a court date in a few days" The thought of seeing Rob again scared me. "Do you want me to go with you?" Harry asked, I turned to him. "I don't know.. I want you too but I don't know if you will be able to. It says I shouldn't bring anyone else." I looked at him with a sad face. "I'm going to come, I don't have to go into the court with you but I'm at least driving you there." I nodded and we all went inside. I went straight to my room to put on some fresh clothes and Jade entered soon after. "You are okay, right?" She asked I sat on my bed and looked at her. "Yeah, other than the fact that the only family I have now is my brother and he is not coming back anytime soon." She came and sat next to me. "you can call me your sister" She smiled at me and I smiled back. "I do call you my sister." We hugged. "So when Harry leaves for his tour, you are welcome to stay at my house for a while." she said pulling away, I nodded looking down. "You're going to miss him aren't you." "Yeah. A lot. Harry is the first boy who has ever meant this much to me. I feel like once he leaves he will just find a better girl." "So are you saying you don't trust him?" I shook my head. "No.. I trust him completely. that doesn't mean that another girl will pop into the picture." "Ashley, that is your insecurity talking. He won't find another girl, because he loves you." I looked at her. "I saw the way he was looking at you last night, he was so worried, and this morning when me and Anne got there, he couldn't stop looking at you. He loves you." My stomach flipped, I knew she was telling the truth, but I couldn't believe it. I honestly thought I was going to die alone. A knock was heard on the
door and Harry peaked in. "sorry, did I interrupt?" Harry asked coming all the way into the room. "Nope, I was just about to leave." Jade said giving me a smile then saying bye to Harry and walking out the door. Harry came over and sat next to me. "You feeling okay?" He asked. "Yeah I mean it's a little hard to go up and down the stairs in them but I'll get used to it." He smiled at me "Are you nervous for court?" I nodded. "I don't want to go alone.." "Let me go in with you then." "What if he hurts you or me? He might come after us because we are the reason he is there." Harry rubbed my back. "he is going to have police surrounding him, if he can get out, I'll be surprised." I nodded and hugged him. "Thank you Harry for everything." He kissed the top of my head. "You're welcome."

Harry's P.O.V.
It was the day of the hearing and Ashley and I were in the court room waiting for Rob to come in. When he did he was wearing a bright orange jumpsuit handcuffed with the police surrounding him. He tried tugging his way out to come over to do who knows what to me and Ashley. But the police stopped him. "Court is in session" The judge banged his desk and we proceeded. He had asked Rob questions and Ashley, he even asked me a few questions. Ashley had mentioned that Rob admitted murdering her mother. "Do you have proof of this?" "Well no. The only proof I have is him saying it straight to my face, Harry was there too but no other evidence." she had pointed at me. "Well," The judge started. "Until we have proof that you murdered your wife, you have prison sentence of 2 years. If we get the evidence that you did murder her, you will get 25 years to life. Case dismissed." The judge banged his desk once again and Rob was pulled away him giving both of us death glares. I hugged Ashley and we left as soon as we could. We got in the car and started to drive home. "I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders." She said smiling at me. I smiled back. "Yeah, hopefully they can find that evidence of the murder." She nodded. We
got home quickly and went inside. My mum was at work, and Jade was probably upstairs. "It sucks that I can't do anything with these crutches." She plopped down on the couch and I sat next to her. "I'll just have to sit here with you until you don't need them" She laughed. "No you're not going to sit here with me all the time." I smiled at her. "Yeah you're right, I'm going to have to get up when you need things." She smacked me. "Harry! I don't want to be waited on hand and foot!" She laughed. "But I wanna" I smiled at her and kissed her lips gently. I was thinking about leaving in a couple weeks. I don't think I can do it. So I got up and made a call. I hope this can all work out.

14. Crutches

Ashley's P.O.V.
Today was going to be my first doctor's appointment since being in the hospital. They had told me if everything was looking good enough, I would be able to get off my crutches today. I was sitting in the room on one of those beds with the loud paper on it when my doctor came in. "So everything seems to be getting better but I suggest you stay on the crutches for just a little bit longer." She said putting down her clipboard. I nodded and she continued about how I can try walking on my leg while on the crutches and stuff like that. So we said our goodbyes and I went to go meet Jade in the lobby. Harry was originally going to take me but he had a meeting with his management or something today, so Jade came instead. "Still on crutches I see" Jade said standing up. "Yeah, getting there though. slowly." She giggled and we walked to the car. I literally hopped in and we took off. "So when are you going back home?" I asked Jade as we drove down the street. "well, my parents probably don't even realize I'm gone, so it really doesn't matter." We laughed. "Oh man, What about school?" "You're all set. They know about Rob so they figured you have gone to live with other family." Jade said. "What about you?" "I plan on going back soon. I have only missed a couple days but if it gets bad. I can always switch to online classes!" She said turning into the driveway. We got out of the car and I hobbled up to the door and we went inside. Harry was on the couch until he saw us walk in and he popped off and walked over to us. "How did it go?" Harry asked. "good, slowly getting better" I said with a smile. He smiled back and hugged me. Jade went upstairs to call her parents and me and Harry went into the kitchen. I sat at the table and Harry made some tea. He set down a mug in front of me and sat down with his opposite of me. "So about that call I made the other day, it was to my management. I asked them to see if you and Jade could come with me and the boys on our tour in America. They said they would
have to think about it and when they called me in today they told me that only one of you can go. I guess we don't have enough room for you both. I don't know why, our opening act has bailed on us just recently. I gue-" "Harry, we can figure it out okay." I said putting my hand on his. "We don't even know when Jade is going home yet." He nodded. "I need to shower." I got up and gave Harry a kiss then went upstairs. I grabbed my pjs and went into the bathroom and without control over myself I started singing my favorite song Wings by Little Mix.

Harry's P.O.V.
I finished my tea and cleaned up the kitchen before I went upstairs. I passed the bathroom and I heard the water running then I just stopped. I heard singing coming from the bathroom. It sounded beautiful. And it gave me an idea. I ran to my room and made another call. When Ashley came out I went into her room to see Jade and her sitting on the bed and laughing. "Not interrupting anything am I?" I asked with a smile. "Nope! come sit down!" Ashley said. I went over and sat right next to her. I put my arm around her. "So Ashley I heard something interesting while you were in the bathroom." She looked at me confused. "yeah..?" She hesitated. "Why didn't you tell me you could sing?" She hid her head in her hands then lifted her head quickly after. "Oh god. you heard that?" Jade was laughing. "Yeah, why do you look so embarrassed? It sounded good!" she shook her head. "Have you ever sung in front of people?" "I have sung in front of Jade but that's only because we sing together all the time." "Really?" I said looking at Jade, Now she was turning a little red. "Yeah, a little." Jade said. "Have you girls ever sang for an audience other than each other?" "We were in a few talent shows but that's it." Ashley said. "Why don't you sing a little song for me." I looked at Ashley and she shook her head. "No.." "Aww, come on!!" I gave her the puppy dog face. Her and Jade stood up and started singing Breakeven by the Script. and it was really good. They finished and I clapped for them. They sat back down. "I have a proposition for you two. I have talked to management, and if at least one of you are up to it, they will let you both go if one of you can open for us on tour." I looked at then and they had smiles on their faces. "So we would be singing.. in front of millions of people?" I nodded and they started freaking out. "Is that a yes?" "Yes!!" They both yelled. They both hugged me and I hugged them back. This will be great, but we need to start preparing.

Ashley's P.O.V.
I had got my crutches off just in time for this big meeting. We were sitting outside the office of Simon Cowell, I couldn't believe it. Harry was right by my side and so was Jade when Simon opened his door and let us in. The three of us sat on the opposite side of his desk. "Alright Harry, What have you got for me?" Simon said sitting across from us. "Well, I would love it if these two girls could open for us on tour, Since we lost our opening act." Simon nodded slowly. "You know we are going to have to get them ready. We will have to get them to write and record at least a few songs before the tour." "Do you think that we could do that in two weeks?" Harry asked. "Well, no. But you boys are only leaving early for more press work in America. So the girls can stay here and record while you are there, then they would meet you at the beginning of the tour. If we decide for them to be the opening act." Harry nodded and I was trembling in my boots. Simon stood up. "Well girls lets see what you've got." He flashed us a smile and led us a far way from his office to a tiny recording studio. "We don't normally use this studio but for times like these, it works. I have got a pre-written song you can sing." Me and Jade nodded and went into the studio. We spent time singing together then I would sing a few solos along with Jade. Once we were done I was scared we wouldn't be good enough for the tour. "What did you think?" Harry asked. We were still sitting in the recording booth. "I think you girls have got something special in you." both me and Jade got huge smiles on our faces and Simon smiled back. "I'm going to see if we can find another opening act as well, but I think you girls can record a few singles and sing those." "Sounds great!" Jade said. Simon left the room and Jade and I started jumping and squealing. I heard Harry laughing at us, I ran over and hugged him. "This is so amazing!" I said pulling out of the hug. "It really is! I hope you know you have a busy few weeks in front of
you." I shrugged with a smile. "It will be worth it." We left the room and went back to the lobby. We had to talk to the secretary for a second so we could make and appointment to come back and schedule out the next few weeks of writing recording and photo shoots. Once we had, we started back towards the house, Harry was driving with me in the passenger seat and Jade sleeping in the back. We had to get up pretty early for this meeting. "I don't know how I am going to repay you for doing all of this for me and Jade." I said as Harry grabbed my hand and kissed it. "you don't have to do anything but be my girlfriend and we will call it even." I giggled. "Alright, I guess I could do that." He smiled at me and I smiled back. It seemed like life was just starting to get great and all I could do was hope it would stay this way.

Harry's P.O.V.
The past two weeks went by fast. I spent most of it with my mum, Ashley and Jade were in the studio or at photo shoots most of the time so I got a lot of alone time with her. Which I think we both needed. She drove me to the airport, both Ashley and Jade came along as well, they would be joining me soon but only had a couple more things to do here. "I'll see you soon" Ashley said giving me a kiss. I smiled at her. "Yeah, soon" I turned to Jade and hugged her goodbye as well and I had saved my mum for last. "I'll see you soon mum" I could see the tears forming in her eyes. This was always so hard for both of us. "Okay honey, I love you." "Love you too." I gave her a big hug then a kiss on the cheek. I walked towards security check But turned to wave back first. Once I waved they turned away and were gone within seconds. I made it through security quickly and before I knew it I was on my flight to Dublin. We had decided that the boys and I would just meet at the airport there then fly to America together. It took a few hours to get there, but once I did I searched for everyone, I was excited to see them. "Harry!?" I turned around and saw Louis standing up from a chair. "Louis!" We walked towards each other and hugged. "Man have I missed you" Louis said, I nodded. "Missed you too. Where are the others?" "Haven't met up with them yet, they should be here soon though." "Awesome." I sat down next to where Louis was sitting before and he took a seat as well. "So I saw some pictures of you with some girl" Louis said nudging me. "Want to tell me about that?" I laughed. "Why don't I wait for the other boys, so I don't have to tell the story 4 times." Louis smiled and nodded. "Alright, that works." The other boys arrived soon like Louis said. We all caught up on things except I haven't told them about Ashley yet. I figured I would tell them on the flight. Which I did, they were so interested in my story and very excited to meet her and I was excited to see her again soon.

16. America

Ashley's P.O.V.
Jade and I had finished recording our songs and come out with a short album. It only had 5 songs on it but it was what we needed if we wanted to open for One Direction. We landed in California at about 5 p.m. and we went straight to our hotel. I guess we will be doing some promotion stuff here a little so the tour doesn't start for another couple weeks. When we got to the hotel I was surprised to see the boys in the lobby waiting for us. I went straight to Harry and gave him a hug. "I've missed you." Harry said kissing my forehead. "it's been a week" I said with a laugh. "yeah a pretty long week if you ask me" he smiled at me and I smiled back. "Ashley this is Louis, Niall,Liam, and Zayn. Boys this is Ashley." I waved at them and they all came over and wrapped me in a hug, I was shocked but laughed it off. "we have heard a lot about you." Louis said, I blushed. "and this is Jade" Harry said walking to Jade's side. They all hugged her as well then led us to out hotel room that we will be staying in for the next week. Jade and I went into our room and unpacked a little so we wouldn't have to live out of our suitcases. We laid in our beds and turned on the t.v. I was really tired from the flight. There was a knock at the door about 5 minutes after we got comfortable. Me and Jade exchanged looks to try and figure out who would get it. I sighed knowing she wasn't going to move, so I got up and went to the door. When I opened it Harry was on the other side with a huge smile on his face, which made me giggle. "Hi Harry" I smiled. "Hello love, how are you?" "I'm pretty good, and you?" "Better now." I felt my face turn red and I looked towards his feet. "do you think you and Jade could be ready to go to an interview with me and the boys in 10 minutes?" I looked back up. "Yeah, we are going to the same interview as you?" "Yup, we figured for your first interview you would want to be around some experts." he said leaning up against the door frame. "So you aren't coming with us?" his jaw dropped
like he was offended. I smiled at him. "Harry I was just kidding." I grabbed his hand and he just pouted at me. "I'm sorry." he just kept looking at me with puppy dog eyes. "forgive me?" I gave him a small smile and he smiled back. "okay" I kissed him on the cheek. "I'll see you in a few." I turned to go back into my room but Harry still had a grip on my hand and pulled me back. My body slammed up against his. "do you think you are going to get away with just a kiss on the cheek after you insulted me?" I looked in his eyes. "No?" he laughed. "good answer." he pressed his lips against mine and the instant he did I felt the same spark I always felt rush through me. He slowly pulled away. "Happy now?" I asked with a smile. "Yeah, I'm pretty happy now" I shook my head and laughed. "I'm glad." I quickly kissed him again then turned back into my room, Harry letting go of my hand this time, and I grabbed the door. "see you in a few minutes Harry" I slowly closed the door and walked back to Jade with a smile on my face. "You two are so adorable." Jade said. I blushed a little when I remembered she just heard that whole conversation. "I'm glad you found him, you need a guy like that in your life." She smiled at me and I smiled back. "Yeah, me too." We got ready then went to meet the boys down in the lobby and went to the interview. I still could not believe any of this was happening.

Harry's P.O.V.
that interview felt like the longest one I had ever been through. It was one of those ones where they ask you the same questions you have already been asked a million times. I do love interviews, but that one was just pain to sit through. We got back to the hotel at about 8 p.m. and I was tired. So I said good night to Ashley and went straight to bed, but it didn't help that at one in the morning I woke up again and couldn't fall back asleep. So I texted Ashley. 'You awake?' 'Now. Why what's wrong?' 'Can't sleep.' 'Aww, I'm sorry 'It will be okay' 'Do you want to come to my room?' 'No.. I don't want to wake up Jade.' 'Okay.' 'Hey, you brought your bathing suit right?' 'Yeah, Why?' 'Put it on and meet me in the hallway? (:' 'Yeah, sure!' I put down my phone and put on my swimming trunks, grabbed my towel and snuck out of mine and Louis' room trying not to wake him up. When I closed the door completely I looked up to see Ashley standing with her bathing suit on and a big shirt on with her towel over her shoulder. "Why am I in my bathing suit?" She asked me, I laughed and moved over to her putting my arm around her waist. "Let's go for a swim." We started walking towards the elevator. "Harry, isn't the pool closed?" She laughed. "Yeah, and?" I looked down at her and she had her mouth open wide. "Harry, you rebel." I brushed my shoulder sarcastically and she gave me a little shove and laughed. We made it down to the pool and like I thought, the door wasn't locked. I opened the door and gave a devilish smile to Ashley, we walked outside to the pool and put our towels down. I took off my shirt and jumped in instantly. I came up from under the water and shook my hair out. "The water is great!" Ashley kneeled down at the side of the pool and I swam over to her. "I'm sure it is." "Come try it!" before she could react I pulled her into the pool. She came up from under the water and moved the hair from her face. "Harry!" She said splashing me. "I hadn't even taken my shirt off yet!" "Oh well!" I laughed and she just glared at me while she took off her shirt and put it on the side of the pool. "You are dead, Styles. You better watch your back." She said swimming closer to me. "Yeah, What are you gonna do about it?" "If I told you, you would know when its coming." "True." She was inches away from my face, and I was about to kiss her when she went under water. I followed her and opened my eyes underneath. I saw her smiling and she was looking at me as well. I grabbed her by the waist and kissed her under water. It didn't last too long because I needed air. How romantic is that. We reached the surface of the water and I put my forehead on hers. "I love you Ashley." she smiled. "I love you too Harry." "Hey, the pool is closed!! You're not allowed in here!!" We started laughed. "Run." I whispered to her. I pulled myself out of the pool then helped Ashley out, we quickly grabbed our towels then ran past the large man that just yelled at us, without him seeing who we were. We got to the elevator and broke down laughing. "Harry we could've gotten kicked out of the hotel!" "Aw come on, admit it, you liked the adrenaline rush." She kept laughing and gave me a shove. "Maybe a little." I walked her back to her room once we reached our floor. I stopped outside her doorway and realized I forgot something. "I might have forgotten my key." Ashley started laughing a little. "Come on." She opened her door and led me in, Jade was asleep on the other bed. "You will just have to stay in here for the night."I grabbed a pillow from her bed and put it on the floor. "Harry? It isn't that big of a deal if you sleep in the bed." She said about to go into the bathroom to change. "You sure?" "Yeah, I think it will be alright." She said with a laugh. She went into the bathroom and I hopped in her bed and I was half asleep when she came out of the bathroom. She scooted into the bed right next to me and I put my arms around her and fell straight to sleep.

Ashley's P.O.V.
waking up in Harry's arms made me feel like I was loved. Harry in general made me feel like I was loved, which I don't really get a lot. I looked at him, he was still sleeping peacefully. I turned to look at the clock and it was almost 10 in the morning. I saw that Jade was no longer in her bed too. I turned back to Harry and ruffled his hair. "Harry, Wake up" He groaned. "Harry... We need to get up" He slowly opened his eyes. "Can't we just stay here all day." He mumbled. "I'm afraid we can't." I pulled myself out of his arms, even though I didn't want to, and stood next to the bed. He just looked at me. "Come on." I held my hand out to him and helped him up. We got dressed and went down to the lobby to see Jade and the other boys eating breakfast. "Look who decided to show up!" Zayn said. I laughed. "Sorry, His fault." I pointed back to Harry who was yawning and rubbing his eyes. "Where were you last night? I woke up and you weren't in your bed." Louis asked as we sat down at their table. "I couldn't sleep so I took a walk with Ashley and when we got back, I remembered that I had forgotten my key." "Nice one Harry!" Niall said, everyone laughed. "Yeah, he just stayed in mine and Jade's room last night." I added and everyone nodded like they already knew. "So whats the plan for today?" Harry asked. "Well, we are going to rehearse for the show for most of the day and I know that the girls have and interview afterwards, not sure about us though." I nodded and stole Jade's orange juice to take a sip, she didn't even say anything. "We should probably get going." We got up from the table and went outside to find a van waiting for us, we piled in and went to the arena. When I walked inside I literally stopped, it was huge. Everyone kept walking because they didn't notice I had stopped. Well, everyone except for Harry. "All these seats are going to be filled?" I asked, hesitating a little. "Yup" Harry said smiling at me. "I can't breathe." "Ashley you will be great just try not to think about it." I nodded. And slowly started to walk again. Me and Jade are rehearsing a few of our songs first. Then the boys will come up and do all of their songs. Their management, which I'm guessing was ours for the time being, walked up to us. "Alright, you girls are going to have an interview after you are done rehearsing so lets get a move on shall we." They quickly walked away before we could even say anything, me and Jade just looked at each other and tried not to laugh. We went up in stage and it went over really well. Everyone said we did a great job but that was when the seats were empty, what will happen to me when they are full? Management pulled me and Jade away to the car which made me loose my train of thought. "It should be a short interview so we will see you back here soon" He said closing the door. We were on our way to the interview, I had no idea where we were going until I got a text from Harry. 'just heard you were sent off to an interview' 'yeah I'm a little nervous, not gonna lie.' 'you will do great, oh and you might want to prepare yourself for the questions about.. us.' 'yeah. I'll be prepared.. Hopefully.' 'alright, love you' 'love you too' I looked up from my phone to see we had pulled into a parking lot and the driver was waiting for us to get out. So me and Jade awkwardly got out of the car and went into the studio to be greeted by an overly peppy worker. "Hello girls! We have been expecting you!! Come, follow me." She started walking so we did as she said. As we were walking I saw a bunch of posters around. "Um, Jade?" "Yeah?" "Do you realize where we are?" She looked at me confused. "We are on the Ellen show." Her eyes widened and she started looking around and her jaw dropped. "Oh. My. God." We started fangirling a little until the preppy woman told us to sit down for a moment and walked away, she quickly returned led by Ellen Degeneres. "Hello girls!" Ellen said, We got up off the couch and both gave her a hug, a little shocked. "We are happy to have you on the show today!" "We are happy to be here!" I said smiling. "I'm glad! So here is the plan, you guys are going to be on later in the show, we will have a short interview then you will perform for us?" "Sounds great!" Jade said then Ellen said her goodbyes and walked away. I made sure she was out of sight before I started talking. "Did she say perform? Holy crap I think I am going to throw up." I held my stomach. "Ashley, breath it will all be okay." I nodded then my phone buzzed. It was Harry. 'Taking a break so I'll be able to watch you on Ellen!' Why did that make me more nervous? I have sung in front of Harry before so I have no idea why that made me have more nerves, but now I'm shaking. But before we knew it me and Jade were walking out onto the Ellen stage. We got to the Couch, hugged Ellen once again then sat down. "Hello girls!" She said. "Hello!" "How are you?" "We are doing great!" Jade said. "Yeah we are very excited to be here" I added surprisingly. "I'm excited to have you here! Why don't we start talking about you guys and One Direction." Me and Jade nodded when there was a little scream from the crowd when they were mentioned, It made me laugh "So you guys are opening up for them on their tour?" "Yeah, this is our first time doing anything like this so we are really excited!" Jade said. "Really? It must be a great feeling that the first time you are going on tour it is going to be with the biggest boyband in the world." We giggled. "yeah it is a pretty great feeling." I said. "Now I have one more question then I will let you perform. Ashley this one is for you." I know where this is headed. "You and Harry seem pretty close." A picture of me and him kissing appeared on the large screen and I laughed and covered my face a little. "Um. Yeah we are pretty close." I said with a laugh, the audience seemed to enjoy that one too. "That's really great! Now don't start telling me your just friends or he is like your brother like other people do." Everyone laughed, including her. "Well, enough of that lets hear you perform!" There was a cheer from the crowd as we walked over into places and sang a song that we wrote together. Once we were done there was a scream from the crowd and the show was over. We talked to Ellen for a couple more minutes then left to go back to the arena. When we got there everyone was waiting for us and they were clapping when we walked in. Me and Jade looked at each other with confused looks on our faces. Harry walked up to me. "Congrats on your first performance in front of more than one person." I laughed because I had completely forgotten that there was a lot of people watching. "Oh my god!" I said realizing what I just did. I gave Harry a huge hug and didn't let go until I had to.

18. Concert

Harry's P.O.V.
Tonight was the night of the first show and I was excited to get back on stage. Once I was done getting ready, I went to Jade and Ashley's dressing room. Ashley was sitting on her couch and looked really nervous so I went and sat down next to her. "You will be great. Trust me." She nodded and gave me a hug I gave her a quick kiss on the lips. "Remember how you sang in front of all those people on Ellen yesterday?" She nodded. "That was luck." I took her hand. "Ashley you are an amazing singer just think about something that makes you less nervous." She nodded when the stage manager opened the door to the room . "Ashley, Jade, You are on in 5." He said then quickly closed the door. I gave Ashley a kiss on the cheek and walked her to the side of the stage. "Harry.. I can-" "You will be amazing, trust me." Just then they were told to go out on stage and there was a scream from the crowd. I stood on the side of the stage nervously watching her, but she did great. Just like I said she would. When they were done they ran off stage with the biggest smiles on their faces and Ashley jumped straight into my arms. "You were amazing!" I said as we pulled out of the huge. "I can not believe I just did that." "I can." I gave her a smile and we walked back to the others where Ashley was greeted with hugs and congratulations from everyone. I was so proud of her, and I could tell she was proud of herself too. She overcame her fear, which is great. Me and the boys got pulled away soon after to go on stage. We had a great show, the crowd was unbelievable and the energy was so high. We had finished our encore and ran backstage, energy still running high. We were all high fiving each other and when I saw Ashley I just picked her up and spun her around. "Harry what are you doing?" She laughed and I put her down. "I'm just happy!" I laughed and she nodded. "Well I'm glad!" "Hey why don't we go out?" Niall suggested "Yeah! Lets do it!" Zayn added we all went to get changed. We all hopped in the van and drove off to get dinner. "I'll be right back." Ashley whispered to me as she was getting up, probably heading to the bathroom. I took a little while before she came back, but when she did she looked upset. "Everything okay?" "Yeah everything will be fine." I knew something was wrong but I'm not going to push her to tell me, not yet.

Ashley's P.O.V.
We got back to the hotel and I went straight to my room and sat on my bed. I was quickly followed by Jade. "Ashley is everything okay? You look a little off." Jade asked sitting next to me. "I'll be fine." I mumbled. "Ashley, please tell me what is wrong." I sighed and looked at her. "When I went to the bathroom at the restaurant these two girls came up to me and told me off." "What?" "They told me that Harry deserves better than me and I'm and ugly bitch." "They said that too you?" A tear went down my face and I nodded. "I'm telling Harry." Jade got up quickly but I grabbed her hand. "Please don't! It isn't that big a deal!" "If it isn't that big a deal, why are you crying?" I shook my head. "I believed them..." I mumbled so hopefully she didn't hear, but she did. She ran out of the room and a minute or so later Harry came in and stopped when he saw me crying on the bed. "Ashley, I-" He walked towards the bed and sat on it. "Don't worry I'll be fine." He grabbed my hand. "If anyone says that to you again, tell me? Please?" I nodded and he pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead. "And just so you know, I don't deserve better than you, no one is better than you."

19. The Accident

Ashley's P.O.V.
I woke up in Harry's arms, and I felt safe. Like nothing could ever go wrong. I looked at Harry sleeping peacefully, I leaned closer to him and kissed his cheek. I watched as his eyes slowly fluttered open. "Morning beautiful." He said with a smile. "Morning" Harry gave me a quick peck on the lips. "What are the plans for today?" "Well, I was thinking of just staying right here with you all day." My eyebrows raised. "Don't you think we should go like, sightseeing or something?" I said with a laugh. "I don't need to go sightseeing when I can look at you all day" I gave him a little shove and got off the bed. "You're so cheesy." I said grabbing some clothes out of my suitcase and headed towards the bathroom but Harry hopped up and walked in front of me. "you love it!" "Yeah, maybe a little." I giggled and kissed his cheek again. "I'm going to get dressed, can we go get some ice cream or something?" I gave him the puppy dog face and he smiled. "Yes, of course we can!" I jumped once and ran into the bathroom to change. Once I came out and Harry wasn't there, he must have gone to get dressed. I went over to my dresser and grabbed my shoes when I looked over to the other bed and noticed Jade wasn't there. I put my shoes on and went out to the hallway and knocked on Harry's door and he answered. "I was just going to come over to see if you were ready." He said with a smile and came out while closing the door behind him. "Do you know where Jade is?" I asked. "Um, I think Louis mentioned that she was staying in Niall's room." "Ohh" I said slowly. We walked down to the lobby and went outside. We walked down the street and saw a ice cream place across the road. We started making our way to the ice cream place, it looked busy, but we got interrupted by a bunch of Harry's fans. we were mobbed. "Hey, I'm going to go get us a table." I whispered to him and he gave me a quick kiss before I pushed through the fans and over to the crosswalk. The sign turned to walk and surprisingly I was the only one crossing. I was almost all the way across when I turned and saw a car zooming through the red light and was about to hit me. I literally froze and couldn't move at all. Then I suddenly felt someone push me and I landed on the side walk. I turned and saw Harry lying on the sidewalk. Oh my god. "Harry!?" I ran over next to him. "Harry??" The tears started rolling down my face like a waterfall. I collapsed on his chest. "Please be okay. Harry don't leave me." I saw out of the corner of my eye the blurred light from the ambulance. I couldn't take my eyes off Harry, lying on the cold pavement. and before I knew it the ambulance took him away from me. Leaving me alone, in the street. watching Harry get driven off. I ran back to the hotel and got everybody and Louis drove us to the hospital. I ran inside and up to the front desk. "What room is Harry Styles in?" I asked frantically as the woman at the desk typed a few things into her computer. "I'm sorry, he can't have any visitors right now. you will have to wait." "How long?!" "I don't know, why don't you have a seat in the waiting room" She pointed in the direction of the waiting room and I slumped over and sat down, still crying. Liam came over and sat next to me, he pulled me into the hug. "It's all my fault" I said quietly. "Ashley, It is not your fault." "If I wasn't so stupid and just moved out of the way." "Don't stress about every detail Ashley." Jade said sitting on the other side of me. I sat in Liam's arms for what felt like hours. until the doctor came out. "Are you here for Harry?" I shot up. "Yeah, is he okay?" "Come with me."

20. Hospital

Ashley's P.O.V
The doctor showed me the way to Harry's room. Once he opened the door I ran inside and went right next to Harry's bed and grabbed his hand. The doctor let everyone else in before closing the door. "Why isn't he moving? Why isn't he awake!?" I yelled. "He is in a coma. He hit his head pretty hard when the car hit him." Tears started coming from my eyes again. "When is he going to wake up?" My voice was shaking. "We aren't sure. It could be hours, days, even months until he wakes up." I shook my head and laid my forehead on Harry's motionless hand in mine. I felt a hand land on my back, but I didn't even look back at who is was. "When he does wake up, we are not sure how his memory will be either." My head shot up. "No.." "I'm sorry, but from the looks of the hit, I would be surprised if he remembered everything in his life." I stared at the doctor in disbelief. "I will leave you alone for a few minutes." He said leaving. I stood up, still holding onto Harry's hand and sat in the chair right behind me. "I should go call Paul.." Liam said leaving my side and walking out the door looking at his phone. I sat in that chair all night it felt like. The boys stayed for as long as they could until they got a call saying they had to go try and do their show, or at least a little of it and jade joined. But no matter how hard I tried I couldn't leave that chair. "You know Harry, you would always tell me not to leave you" I looked at him, still. "But I never told you not to leave me. I don't want you to leave, please wake up. I love you more than anything I have ever loved before. You make me feel safe, and whole." I kept staring at him waiting for his eyes to open just like they did early that morning, but nothing. "I can't picture my life without you Harry." He still didn't move and I couldn't help but cry again, crying myself to sleep

~One Month Later~ I still sat in that chair that I had barely moved from for a month. Staring at Harry's motionless body. The door of the room opened and Jade and Niall walked in. "Hi Ashley." Jade said. "Hey." I said quietly. "How is everything?" Niall asked. We had postponed the tour while Harry was in the hospital. "Same as it has been.." I looked back at Harry. "Listen, Ashley, I think you should get out of the hospital.. get some fresh air.." "I'm not leaving unless Harry is by my side." I choked on the lump in my throat as Jade walked over to me. "Ash, I know you want to stay with him but-" "What if I leave and he wakes up? It's my fault he is in here so I'm going to be here for him." I kept looking at Harry but out of the corner of my eye I saw Jade get up and shake her head as she walked back to Niall. "We will come back a little later.." Niall said and I nodded slowly. I took Harry's hand and rubbed it with my thumb. Just then I heard a moan come from Harry. I let go of his hand and went out into the hall. "Doctor! I think Harry might be waking up!" the doctor ran towards the door and when he came in and I looked at Harry his eyes were wide open and looking around the room. "Harry, How are you doing?" The doctor asked both of us slowly walking towards him. "W-Where am I?" oh know. don't tell me he lost his memory. "You got hit by a car just over a month ago. You have been in a coma ever since." "Oh..." He said rubbing his head. "So you are my doctor?" "Yes I am." "Then who is she?" He pointed at me. Tears fell from my eyes. "Harry I'm your girlfriend don't you remember me?" I said moving next to him. he looked at me for a few seconds then shook his head. I started crying even harder. "Ashley, may I talk with you in the hall?" I nodded and followed him to the hallway. "I think it would be best for him to go out and do some things with him, try and jog his memory." "I can do that." I said quietly. "Great, we will let him out tonight." We walked back into the room and went to either side of his bed. "Harry can you tell me what the last thing you remember is?" I looked at Harry and he had a confused look on his face then shook his head. "I can't remember a thing."

21. Do You Remember?

Ashley's P.O.V.
I had called the boys and they rushed back to the hospital but just a little after they came the doctors had kicked us out to do a few tests. We were all in the waiting room and, well, waiting for the doctor to come back out. "So how do you think we could get his memory back?" Zayn asked. We all shrugged. "Maybe we need to bring him somewhere that he recognizes.. to jog his memory?" Louis suggested. "Should we bring him back home?"I asked. "Well we have postponed the rest of the tour so I don't see the harm in brining him home. I guess as long as the doctor says we can." Liam said. "Has anyone ringed his mum?" Jade asked. "Yeah, I did. She is worried about him.. Maybe we should bring him back to his mum.." We all nodded and agreed that as soon as we could we would fly Harry back home. Just then the doctor came out with Harry following. "Alright well, Harry is doing great other than the whole memory thing. He is allowed to go." Everyone jumped up with excitement and went over to Harry but I went to the doctor first. "Do you think it will be alright if we fly him back home for a while, to try and get his memory back?" "I don't see the problem in that, it will actually be good for him." He gave me a smile and I smiled back. "Thank you. For everything." He gave me a nod then walked off. We checked Harry out of the hospital then went back to the hotel to get ready for our flight. about a few hours later we were on the plane and going home. I was sitting next to Harry, so I thought I would see if I could try and get him to remember something.. "So Harry.. How are you feeling." "Um. I could be better." I looked at him with sad eyes. Jeez this is turning out to be like that movie The Vow. "Do you really not remember... anything?" I asked quietly. "Nothing." I hope we can get his memory back.. and soon. We were silent on the plane since Harry wasn't himself. I was looking forward to seeing Anne again, and I hope she has an idea to get Harry's memory back because I have none. We arrived
back late, everyone wanted to stay with Harry so we all went back to Anne's house. Once we opened the door I instantly saw Anne running over to us and stopping right in front of Harry. "Hi Harry" She said quietly. "Hello.." He said, I could tell Anne was trying to keep back tears. "Do you know who I am?" Harry looked at her for a few seconds. "I'm sorry.. but I don't remember you." Anne looked at the floor, then looked back up at Harry and smiled lightly. "Well I have a room for you to stay in.. why don't you follow me." Anne led Harry up the stairs. "So where are we going tomorrow?" I asked we all looked at each other. "Why don't we just stay here. Have him look at some photographs see if that will do it.." Liam suggested. We all agreed and went to bed. Me and Jade were sharing the room I had stayed in and Liam, Niall, Zayn and Louis where staying in the guest room. I feel asleep quickly as I was hoping tomorrow went well.

Harry's P.O.V.
I woke up in the room that nice lady said was for me last night. I got out of the bed and went downstairs everyone that was at the hospital with me was at the kitchen table. Then the same nice lady walked over to me. "Morning Harry.. How are you feeling?" "I'm alright.." "That's good. I have something to share with you." She led me over to a couch with a big box in front of it. "These are some pictures.. I was thinking you could look through them. I nodded and she watched as I picked up the box and looked through it. Not recognizing anything. I felt bad... these people seem so nice and they are trying hard to help me remember. But I just can't. "bringing anything back?" I shook my head slowly. "I'm sorry.." She looked down. "It's alright. You will remember eventually." She put her hand on my shoulder then walked away. I heard her talking to the people who were sitting at the table but I couldn't make out what she was saying. Soon I was joined by them and the girl who said she was my girlfriend back at the hospital put her hand in front of me. "Come on we want to show you something." She gave me a slight smile and I grabbed her hand as she led me to a car. I was followed by the whole group of people. We drove to some large building and when we went inside there was a stage with a bunch of seats around it. "Harry.. This is where you auditioned for the X- Factor." Louis said to me. "What's X-Factor?" I asked. "It's a singing competition. That's where we were put together as a band, One Direction" When he said that I had a flashback of me and all the other boys singing on a stage. I nodded with a smile. "I remember..." I could feel that everyone around me was smiling. "That's great!" The other girl said. It was weird.. all I could remember was that one thing... I can't remember anything else. I guess I have to give it time.

22. Helping

Ashley's P.O.V
The sunlight streamed through the window and woke me up. I rubbed my eyes and say it was about 8 o'clock. I got out of my bed and went down stairs, Anne was making breakfast, so she didn't notice me slip past and go out the front door. It was kind of cold out but I didn't want to go back inside.Tears slowly fell down my face as I started to think about Harry. "Are you okay?" I jumped so high I thought I was going to go over the house. "Sorry." he said. I noticed it was Harry. "It's okay. I just didn't know you were out here." I said with my hand over my heart and breathing heavy. "Yeah, I was just thinking... about everything. Trying to remember." He looked at his feet and I walked over to him. "Don't push yourself, it will come back." I said trying to comfort him, even though it broke my heart to see him like this. He nodded. "You wanna go out today?" He smiled slightly. "Yeah, sounds fun." I smiled and put my hand on his shoulder. "Okay, why don't we go inside and eat." he chuckled. "Sounds great!" We walked inside and ate breakfast, being joined by the others one by one. I went upstairs after eating to get dressed and when I came back downstairs everyone was laughing and having a good time. When Harry saw me he stood up. "So where are we going??" "That's for me to know and you to find out." I smiled at him. "How about you go get ready and meet me at the car." he nodded and ran upstairs. "Where are you taking him?" Jade asked. "Somewhere which might be able to get him to remember who I am." She smiled. "good luck" "Thanks" I said smiling back and grabbing my keys. I walked out to the car and sat in the drivers seat joined by Harry only minutes later. "So gonna tell me yet?" He said getting in. "Nope not yet." I started the car and backed out of the driveway. It seemed like Harry was acting more like himself maybe today was the day everything would be normal again... I shouldn't get my hopes up. We showed up at a beach and got out of the car. "A beach?" "yup" I said with a smile. "I'm sure I will know why at some point." He said "Yeah I think you will." We walked towards the water and sat down. "So tell me the story of the significance of the beach." Harry said. "Well, I had gotten really mad after seeing you with some girl so I ran away. I went to the airport and flew to America. Little did I know you chased after me. so we stayed in America for a couple of days at my Aunt's beach house, so we spent a lot of time on the beach." I smiled. "God, I wish I could remember that." I looked at Harry and he looked sad. I put my hand on his. "You will" He smiled at me. It was silent for a while and I had just noticed my hand was still on Harry's. Until he moved it away and put both his hands over his eyes. "Are you okay Harry?" He looked up at me and smiled. He grabbed my head and kissed me. When he pulled away he was still smiling. "Do you-" "I remember. Everything." Tears of happiness rolled down my face and I gave Harry a hug. "I'm so happy to have you back." I said into his shoulder. "Happy to be back."
