I don't think he mixed it up, I think he was trying you use that to buttress his point on how serious the army is about females applying for more demanding corp's. By stopping females from the RC level too, I remember seeing the last NDA advert and a clause was attached to it too. One just has to be calculating while applying this time.

I didn't say Combatants isn't for females to apply. what I mean there is that the courses shouldn't be for females because of many things involved. Combatant required highly level of physical and mental fitness which most females cannot withstand.

Hello guys,

Please for the DSSC application, if someone states that he/she is married, does this affect/ disqualify ones chances? I read the criteria and instruction on the portal but didn't see anything against being married... please any useful info will be appreciated....

Pls disregard the information here by a certain GEN(cinc) that females are not needed in the combat arm of the army. I repeat FEMALES can apply for SSC. Infact from my experience in 2013, they have a better chance of making it to training provided they pass medicals. After that, any remaining female is sure of making the final list. Medicals screened out most of the females. For DSSC, they can apply but there is a caveat, they are advised to go for the legal, medical and public relations.....i guess the army doesnt want females in the aviation corps due to the high level of physical and metal training required. So stick to their instruction. For SSC as long as you are a graduate and you are within the age limit...pls apply!
But the few females that made it to screening in 2014 we're screened out not on medical ground but because they didn't need females in ssc that year.
I was in kaduna in 2014 and knew how it goes.

Thats what I was saying in my other post, yes they said females can apply for SSC and the NA is trying to give we females a fighting chance but the thing is with the recent security threat they want to minimize female involvement in high risk Corps such as the infantry, artillery and Armour corp. It is not an act to push females out, it is simply a safety measure for now.

ATTENTION ATTENTION ATTENTION it is dishearten that some people are using this thread to discorage our galant female asparant from applying in the on going ssc, i dont no the reason behind it, some even claim that they are in the last 2014 ssc recruitment and they are giving false information people like sosulz, i was in kaduna NDA in the last 2014 ssc final interview, three females only were invited and were all droped on medicals ground because they all did not meet the required height as stated in the advert, this is what they told me after they were all droped because i had a chat wit them, and as a mater of fact 2 females that make it to interview in 2013 were all sucessful which i saw them in the camp, advice nigeria army give special consideration to female provided they make it to final selection board because they are always few.

Hello people,

Please what is the difference between " Nigeria Army Engineers" and Nigeria Army Electrical Engineers and Mechanical Engineers" as shown on the application portal when applying?

I'm confused and don't know which is appropriate to apply under " Directorate of Army Aviation"..

House kindly advise...
Re: Nigerian Army Dssc & Ssc 2015 Aspirants by mimzy007(f): 9:26am On Apr 22, 2016
Sunnysteve I advice you read and understand what we are saying here, nobody is discouraging females from applying, in fact as a female if I had my way we females will be the equal in number with the males that go in. In as much as it is sad to hear we are very limited and with the double application issue it is only reasonable to lay all the cards on the table and be smart about it before applying. You are mentioning 2013 yes they trained in 2013 , 4 of them. We have a total of about 7 SSC female officers in the country right now together with those from 2012 application . Do you think it is just coincidence that NDA told the ones who just wrote exams that they should apply for NAF and NN and then NA says they are advised to apply to certain corps? No. Anyone who wants to apply can apply but the reason for this talk is because any female who is applying will have to consider which is more favorable for her, it is simple as that. After all there is no harm in trying.

Re: Nigerian Army Dssc & Ssc 2015 Aspirants by Nobody: 10:53am On Apr 22, 2016
1. Birth certificate, 2. Certificate of state of origin, 3. Bsc..., 4. NYSC discharge certificate, 5. Professional body certificate.
The first four (1-4) are compulsory. If you like you can add WASC, & School leaving certificate. But if you do not up load those that are not compulsory, you still need to go along to the center with them.

Pls you guys are not getting the point. For SSC, females can apply and will serve in units that are not too close to the combat zone. We have combat officers in engineer corps, ordanance corps, S and T corps. We have combat officers in intelligence, military police and the like. The girls who made it to the screening in 2014 didnt make it to the board because of medicals. In DSSC, the army only asked fe,ales to limit their applications to medical, legal and PR because the only other lucrative corps listed which is aviation requires strong mental and physical skills. If you studied engineering as a female...pls proceed to SSC. You can be posted to the engineering corps after training....if the army doesnt want females in the combat arms, i will not state in the applications under SSC that females should apply. The caveat was only emphasized under DSSC because they know that females with engineering, physics and chemistry degrees will be attracted to the aviation corps,
