I bought a lot of iron rods before the commencement of this building. Part of it is still remaining, I bought Y16 for N2100 and Y12 for N1100 then.
The height of the German floor to decking should be 3 meters according to the drawings.

Thanks, I am watching your progress in your building site, you are doing very well. Well done.

I know of one tile type called castle rock, very beautiful at 7k per sqm. Waterock has it.

Is Waterock the name of a company or what? Where are they based please?

See the attached pic, that's the wall finish I'm talking about.

Got ideas? Shed more light pls

Hello Oga Spyder880, Hajj M, Egunmogaji and everyone, please attached images are the plans for my duplex.

I'm not trying to derail this lovely thread, but please just help me with estimation from foundation to the lintel level because that's the first thing I'm planning to do.

Thanks everyone, much appreciated.

There's a QS that advertises on here maybe he can help.

I'm not good at that and haven't applied myself because I think it's uneccesary.

Good luck on your project.

Please help me understand why Bill of Quantity, or it's equivalent, maybe unnecessary. Thanks.

It might be necessary on a financed or multi family scheme.

But I dont find it necessary for my personal residence.

Wether I'm told it will take 3,000 or 5,000 blocks I'm still going to build it and might as well throw the QS funds into the block funds. This is not my first rodeo too.

YMMV.

Hello spyder, nice work you are doing. I have been reading your other threads lately and i must commend you for the work you are doing. I earn an income of about 107,000 naira monthly. I have a half plot of land somewhere in anambra state. I want to build a 4 bedroom bungalow on the land. A friend asked me to start buy moulding blocks and buying some of the materials that i need. Initially i was waiting to start when i have saved close to a million naira. Started the job in january and now i have saved closed to 150,000 naira. What is your advice? Can i start small? Will be waiting for your reply.

Welldone sir. I will like to discuss with you on a building project. Is there any means I could talk to you.
Re: How We Built The Port Harcourt "4 Bedroom Duplex" by spyder880(m): 5:06pm On May 03, 2016
The concrete poker is a tool produced with the aim of using the methodology of vibration to shake concrete cast into tight spaces, especially in confined crevices in a constitution site. It is ideal for a decking project like this one and have been known to give a higher concrete quality over other methods.

We usually prepare for them in advance. We ask and obtain all documentation after paying for approvals of building plans. We paid for another new building approval in Enugu yesterday.
