You are an id1ot of unmitigated proportions.

Fergie never had the complement of stars that Fraudiola had. His first European triumph in 99 was basically homegrown talent. Yet you have the nerve to call someone who didn't start splashing the cash till later in his career a failure. Your argument becomes worse when you put Jose in this equation.

Barca team in transition had Eto' o, Messi, Henry, Xavi, Iniesta in 2009. We're not even talking of Puyol, Pique, Toure and Busquets.

You better tape that hole in front of your head you call a mouth shut. It's not compulsory that you must talk.

EPL started in 1992.

Ferguson broke the British/Club transfer record in 1993, 1995, 1998(twice), 2001(twice), 2002, and 2008.

Eastbay:

Oga, you must not talk everytime. It's too early in the day to be a m0ron.
Beckham, Giggs, Gary Neville, Nicky Butt, all started the finals in 1999. Where were they bought from? Yorke and Stam were basically good but not exceptional players.

ferguson broke the club transfer record twice in one season to buy these two.

I agree with your argument re Pep fraudiola, but it is also a fraud to try and paint Ferguson as a winner with 'home grown talent'. Ferguson more or less bought his way to the EPL titles.

Pep is a good coach who was lucky to have *in nihilst's voice* a freak of nature, messi... Plus xavi, iniesta all in their prime. Without messi in particular, pep wouldn't have achieved all he did with barca. He was just a passenger carried along by his players.

If you want to know what coaches can do with a team, check out mou's inter and porto team. What have been their performances in Europe post mourinho?

Nor mind that ollah1. He didn't talk about mou's success with Porto but inter. The fact still remain pep is overrated till he prove himself with a team struggling or underdog.

Don't drag me into your shallow mindedness and rabid stup1dity early this morning.

You were the one who called the 2009 side a transition side.
The one that reached the semi final of the champions league the previous season.
I'm putting the likes of Blomqvist, Ronny Johnsen, Nicky Butt against people like Messi, Xavi and Iniesta, yet you can't see the folly of you proclaiming the 2009 side a transitional one and calling Fergie a failure.

In case our slow brain hasn't noticed, I'm basically comparing squads on a man to man basis, and punching holes in that your crippled logic.

Guy free me.

Like I said, I got more things high on my priority list to do today, and lolly-gagging with a slow-witted loudmouth isn't one of the things I intended doing today.

Guardiola would have been able to predict the questions in his postmatch news conference easily enough; he also would have known that little in his responses could change the bottom line. He will leave Bayern without having taken them to a Champions League final.
Would he agree that he had not fulfilled his mission in Bavaria? Is football really about anything more than winning titles? History may yet come to the impossibly harsh conclusion that Guardiola failed at Bayern, a victim of his own high standards

But their careers (Yorke and Stam)didn't exactly become the stuff of legends. So are we going to equate them on the same level as the Barca side of 2009 because they were record transfers?

What did Barca win in 2 years prior to Pep's appointment? What positions were they in the league? What was Xavi, Messi and Iniesta playing prior to his appointment. Yes, people knew Messi was a talent but who made him a beast? Who switched his position from the wing to a false 9? Who made him a less injury prone player? Teddy Sheringham was bought to replace Cantona for a record fee likewise Henning Berg among others but of course its Fergie so they are "homegrown talents."

You claim you have stuffs to do but you didn't remember that before you mentioned me first. When you don't have anything meaningful to defend your claim anymore then you begin use fowl languages. I wouldn't go down in the lane with you. I'm more than that.

They were the best in the league at the time. Stam was actually the UEFA best defender of the year for back to back seasons between 1998 and 2000, and Dwight Yorke finished the season as the highest goal scorer in the league.

So the exact same argument against Pep could be levied against Ferguson. With the amount of talent available to him, walking the league and triumphing in Europe was the minimum expectation. Good job he delivered.

Yorke was joint top scorer with Owen and Hasselbaink.
That was the only time he ever topped the charts, with only 18 league goals.
He was never England's best striker when he was active, abeg. Not when Fowler, Shearer and co still were there.

Kevin Philips topped the scorers chart along with Dion Dublin. That must make them among the best, no?

Please lecture me.

No sir, I disagree.

With respect to talent, you cannot compare Fergie's teams to that of Pep's. Only deluded psychopaths like that ollah will tell you that.
Or do you want to start bringing names?

Pep has an arguably better side to work with in Bayern thatn Fergie probably ever did, yet he can't get past the semis.

The simple fact remains that Dwight Yorke was one of the best in the league at the time. The rest of your post is either irrelevant or garbarge.

Dwight Yorke was the club record transfer in 1999, for a club that had won the most EPL titles, and finished as the highest goal scorer that year. What should we expect from his manager?

I think your problem is your inability to understand relativity.

Ferguson had the best squads in England for much of his career in the EPL. The minimum expectation back then was that Ferguson would win the league.

This is a guy that broke the British transfer record at least twice, and Club transfer record several times. This is a guy that managed the most dominant side in EPL history. What else could be the minimum expectation from him.

The only argument you could have is the 'shoe get size' argument, by stating that Pep's Barca team was man for man better than Ferguson's Manyoo team, and you would have a point. But we're not comparing Pep to Fergsuon man to man.

We're tangentially comparing them in relation to their domestic and european opposition, and the fact remains that both men managed teams that were by far superior to their opposition especially domestically. I can still remember when the EPL was a competition for second place, because it was a foregone conclusion that Manyoo would finish first.

Even when the camera was focusing on boatang after the match as the main cause of the goal, your brain would rather blame alaba and javi who were make-shift cbs since. Even in defeat you failed to do sober reflection, you are more calamitous than boatank. After the goal the idi.ot boateng now applied small sense in his pressing. Terry and other better defenders in their primes knew when to press forward, Boateng lacks this sense and i have been saying it for eons time on this thread with gifs. He is a fraud of a defender, immediately i knew he would be playing i raised my stakes. He lacks positioning and thank God for him tonight as i gained from his poor defending.
You are a m0ron. This fraud of a defender is a World Champion and CL winner. He pressed forward knowing Javi and Alaba were at the back. Abominable bilewu!

What did Javi and Alaba do to prevent the pass from getting to Griezmann?

Javi that has been playing at CB since 2011/2012 is now a makeshift CB according to your oponu brain. Unku when will you stop being an arindin?

Did Pep win his with the same players?
Ranieri floped in every continent he has coached but he won EPL within 9 months. Says alot about how easy it is to win it. Samson Siasia will win it with Watford
This is wrong in his first spell in Italy(with fiorentina) and Spain(with Valencia) he was successful he won the coppa italia and supercoppa in italy, he also won the Copa del rey in spain. Mind you this were clubs swimming in the bottom half of their divisons before he came. I think he even qualified fiorentina to serie A by winning serie B.

It's an indication of the club's assessment of the player's ability and worth.

The average transfer that season in the EPL cost 3 million pounds(see link below) Are you saying we shouldn't expect a striker that cost 14 million pounds to tear up the league?

Ok what should we have expected?

It wasn't always the case sir.

From 2002 down, Fergie's sides were hardly the best on paper in England. In 2003 when United won the league, the perception was that Arsenal lost that title. You would look hard and deep to find a year from then on to say that United had the best squads year to year.

My case in point.
He didn't tear up the league except for that season.

Even that is up for debate. But we give him a pass.

He was not as prolific as you would want me to believe.

Transfer fees don't always make you legit.
Seba Veron cost United upwards of 28 million pounds, yet he was flogged off after just two seasons.

Now you're shifting the argument. You were previously speaking about the league up until 1999 and mentioned players like Stam, Yorke and Blomquist.. hence I also focused on that Era.

If we move to the Modern Era, I think that there's still a very good argument that Ferguson had the best squad or at the worst on par with his opposition

And anytime there was a better or equal team, Ferguson forfeited the title. Against Jose twice. Against Mancini. Against Ancelotti. I don't think Arsenal had a ever had a better squad than Manyoo as Henry and Viera papered over a lot of cracks in that team IMO.

The only time Fergusons squad was weak to me was in his final season. Prior to that Ferguson managed a team that was either the best or one of the best in the league.

So what else should we expect from him?
