Refuse which gift & which self esteem are you talking about? We have some sort of haughtiness & an exaggerated believe of being a great country, giant of Africa & all worth not but in reality, we are just another 3rd world country, depending on grants & loans to solve basic problems! Whatever we make from crude oil is largely frittered away by the ruling class!

actually, USA is among the top oil producers in the world and so the picture you posted is incorrect in terms of facts. USA definitely made mistakes in getting involved in internal affairs of Iraq and Libya but sorry oil is not the reason.

Hilux makes sense as it is commonly used in Nigeria and so there will be availability of spares, easier maintenance etc. Besides the Hilux is one of the most dependable trucks in its class.
Toyota has a big presence in the US and employs thousands of Americans.
