Check whether you allowed your background data to run. Or perhaps your system update might have been running updating at the background. Finally check whether what your data counter is reading corresponds with what your network reading. That's only when you can be sure you're being shortchanged. I can't vouch for these network providers especially mtn and airtel.

Ntel is offering 10,000 unlimited data for 1 month.

What do you guys think.

And to think those once will pull customers with such useless offer , won't be suprise if other networks counter that offer

I decided to write this because i think this issue of our network providers deceiving us with their fake data plans is getting out of hand.

I will say this this started with airtel Nigeria, transferred to Glo and now mtn. Why won't they be straight forward and be truthful with their data plans, airtel will tell you you can get 10gb data at the price of N3500(example), but in the true sense it is 4gb for N4000 with their DATA ZAPPING.

Glo followed suite with Glo blackberry plan which normally last longer but now you can't use Glo blackberry plan for 3 weeks. Then the one freaking me out is MTN NOW ZAPS DATA. I'm still trying to figure out how 3.5gb data that i subscribed last two weeks Sunday without downloading or updating my apps, is now remaining 266mb right now.

Mtn are not known to zap data and this isn't the first time i subscribed for their new data plan but it seems they have followed the footsteps of Airtel and Glo to zap data or maybe what happened to me is a network issue as some are complaining about the new data plans.

But why will these networks entice us with low cost for a high bundle plan. When i used airtel 9gb for N3,500 i nearly broke my airtel sim card with anger as it didn't last up to 2 weeks without any sort of downloads. Am afraid etisalat might soon join the trend.

MTN if you are offering 1.5gb for N1000 or 3.5GB data for N2000, let it be real. Not 600mb in disguise of 1.5gb or 1.2gb in disguise of 3.5GB data.

Airtel if you are offering 10gb data for N5000, let it be real not 4gb in disguise of 10gb data

Etisalat i hope you guys don't follow this trend as I'm planning to fully port to etisalat because of this issue.

bro, na Etisalat na worse pass. The other day my friend did 8GB for 8K, it wasn't even up to 4 days he got a notification from them saying he's left with 405MB

I thought I was the only one o. I can't believe the 1.5gb I subscribed to last week is remaining 200mb without even downloading anything. All I do is bbm, whatsapp and nairaland. MTN PLEASE BRING BACK MY DATA! I now check data balance per click sad

It seems this rise in dollar has affected MTN or maybe it's even subsidy removal.

The Zapping thing is new to MTN. I want to port my number but I don't even know which network provider is best anymore. I reserved a sweet number with Ntel but I can't travel all the way to Lagos or Abuja because of a line.

NCC should please intervene as I'm being scammed by MTN with this their data zapping.

Mtn has joined in the data zapping gang up. I subscribed mtn 1.5gb for 1k, the following day, the massage that came to my phone was that I have 763MB left of my one month plan. I was shocked.

I was supposed to post this topic before you. I was so angry when I discovered that the 3.5gb turned to 115mb in less than 2weeks..
The worst is that with that annoyance, I tried reverting back to the #2015 for 2015gb that I was using before now, but they kept rejecting it.
These guys are really taking us for granted and it's very annoying.

On etisalat, my issue with them is very minute but am angry. They deduct 10# from my account everyday. The other day i transfed 50# to another the sim, the next day 51# was gone. I think etisalat thinks mtn dubious way is good so they want to take their step. As for Glo, their short-code business partners subscribed for me and thanked me for subscribing. They önce reminded me to recharge to service their subscription. On recharge they remove a 105# for 15day they said. Even when i sent STOP to them, still the circle repeated itself. Anyway, for two month now i have refused recharge. On airtel, i have someone for weeks refused to recharge her airtel becos of shortcode stealling also. I think all the network providers are dubious in nature. I should ask if ministers shittu and lai are taking percentage from network providers as it was the case during pa obasanjo and Mtn?

I subscribed 2 days ago for artel's 3gb for #1500 Bb data plan that they boldly tell you 'can be used on Bb and other devices". I knew I had to update my antivirus on my pc using hotspot so I decided to reserve and mise the data. So I said let me at least update my WhatsApp and three other apps that at most I will use 500mb for that. I used the mobo app that helps to compress large apps before download. I was surprised as I was looking at my data calculator it was running very very fast. In under 30 mins it said I had used 0.5gb which will be 500mb so I said that's it let me just verify and dial airtels *140# and what I saw shocked me. I had just a total of 2gb out of 3.5gb left in under 30mins.

Now I don't know whether to say its because I used it on android but see everybody is complaining. "The other devices " that they mention are which and which? They are bloody thieves
