Rubbish...spinal cord injury in 2004, fell from a chair in 2016, ...u can't even cook lies..Metuh wants to run from justice..For someone to offer 400 million naira back,he has probably got billions of naira stashed somewhere...I don't wish him dead but what can you say of the hundreds of pple who got killed by Boko haram just because some useless people like dasuki and metuh decided to share the money that was meant for battling insurgency...

How can you say this rubbish? GEJ gave him money for publicity and campaigns, so he should not take it? Where did Buhari get his campaign funds from? It is from Rivers and Lagos majorly. So stop playing the ostrich.

He never looted any money, in insane society where the laws of the land are paramount this man by now would have been let go money funded. With this evidence on the records in counties where the rule of laws are respected federal government has no case. He collected money to do a job for PDP and for the president. Let be factual here if you as a citizen of this country, you apply for a contract make your presentations and it was execpted the contract awarded to you the agreed money wired to your account will you in honesty going to find out the source of the money no one will do that. Now this where I have problem with what the federal government are doing, with the evidence now shown how all this went down why are they refusing to except the refund if the mean purpose was to recover the loooted funds. Let me categorically say I'm not in anyway in support of any corrupt individual. Rule of laws are paramount to me. Now if Metu misused this money, the authorities who are in position to bring charges against metu are PDP and president GEJ not the federal government. If federal government want to charge someone in this matter it will be GEJ and PDP not metu.

GEJ did not credit his account, it was NSA that credited his account!

The money wasn't even paid to his personal account but to his company's account(desdra or so)

so as a learned man, his company's account was credited from a body responsible for security matters for electioneering purposes, you mean to tell me he didnt know that he was breaking the law

GEJ was the government then, a new government has come in to check how the arms money was spent, only to discover that money for arms was diverted for elections purpose. The government wants to collect the money back, you say they are wrong

I think we should move away from this one sided talk and criminals should be prosecuted when found guilty. Buhari and his cabinet will leave the seat of power someday and if he and his pple are found to be corrupt, the appropriate actions should be meted against them. Even if buhari takes action against Tinubu and his allies(which might happen someday), pple would still cry foul.

As we speak to you the offer to refund the money to the federal government is still open and the government is yet to accept the offer. It is therefore clear to us that the intention is not the recovery of funds but a clear persecution of our son.

If he had played his politics right and not been giving Efcc operatives headache, making empty boasts and destroying evidence (to name but a few) maybe by now he'd be somewhere relaxing and recovering from surgery.

Anyone who has ever had police case will know what happens when u follow dem do gra graa.

Metuh and his so-called "family" should shut-up. Many Nigerians are suffering the effect of stolen monies from government coffers and can't even pay for health services in General Hospital in their respective neighborhoods. And they think one of "our yam eaters" should just be allowed to escape without paying for his sins? Absolutely NO. My solemn advice to the so-called "Metuh family" and "our son" is that they should ask Dasuki how he has done it despite claiming he was about to die over 8 months ago and he still lives strong in Kuje till today. As for you Olisa Metuh presently being called "our son" the earlier you begin to prepare for Kuje, the better for you. Arrant nonsense.

And from the onset Metuh has admitted that this was a business deal with his company and as such the money was paid into the company's account, so to me if this money was paid into his personal account that will be where he will have a problem. Now even if this money came from haven Metuh has no obligation to question the source of money that was used in paying his company for a contract that was legitimately awarded to his company.whether new government or not immediately the evidence came out that this money was authorized by the presidency or who so ever authorized it, Metuh should have been exonerated unless the government provide the evidence that the money was gaven to him for personal use we all know this kind of cases are so hard to prove. Laws are laws and convicting someone just because, even to convict someone who committed murder with blood all over his body still have to be proven guilty to call him a murderer.

How Pathetic, our son this, our son that ,when our son got an alert of a whooping #400m ,we never deemed it fit to ask him which source it came from, when we were enjoying the money meant to buy ammunitions to fight insurgent which our son shared with us ,our conscience didn't bother us,it was all well n good ,when our son knowing fully well he was enjoying money meant for arms deal he still has the guts to challenge the government of the day ,we saw him has our hero ,now that nemesis has caught up with our son we started crying fowl ,do we for once sit back and ask ourselves how many lives would have been saved has our son not collected the money meant to save lives ,what a pity now shamelessly we are pleading publicly for our sons innocence trying to gain public sympathy ,how pathetic ,we rant over the abuse our son is been subjected to for a crime he surely committed and expect the public to be on your side HABA BABA METUH I think your son olisah and you deserve to DIE in jail shameless family our son ko our son ni BABA OLE.

So I ask again if the mean purpose of the government was to recover the looted funds why are they refusing to except Metuh offer to refund the money

there are always 2 sides to a coin. recovery isn't the only deal on the table, there has to be punishment depending on the circumstances.

metuh could posses other secrets about other people or deals that the government is interested in, so they can refuse a refund & subject you to the rigors of the court system thereby turning the screws on him & mounting more pressure on him to cave in, knowing fully well that the court will likely convict him & cease his asset. it's a win win for the government either way.

metuh was bragging at the beginning, he later started running from court to court to seek injuctions, that failed

now he is literally begging to return the funds, with time he might cave in to other demands if there are any by the government. it's perfectly legal

And from the onset Metuh has admitted that this was a business deal with his company and as such the money was paid into the company's account, so to me if this money was paid into his personal account that will be where he will have a problem. Now even if this money came from haven Metuh has no obligation to question the source of money that was used in paying his company for a contract that was legitimately awarded to his company.whether new government or not immediately the evidence came out that this money was authorized by the presidency or who so ever authorized it

metuh witness, okupe said that metuh presented a proposal on how to launder uncle jona's image, the president approved & the funds were transferred to his company's account

Metuh should have been exonerated unless the government provide the evidence that the money was gaven to him for personal use we all know this kind of cases are so hard to prove.

they aren't difficult to prove mydear, they have already stated that the funds were used for personal purpose (to launder jona's image)
The funds in question belongs to the government & they have come to collect it

it's the sole perogative of the government to choose to accept a refund with punishment or without punishment
