Can you please leave off the X Ray till your baby is here?Am not a medical personnel just speaking from my personal observation and experience i live in Dubai and have had to do Xrays a few times one of the first questions always asked is if you are pregnant no one will do an Xray for a pregnant woman here.My clinic and hospital even have pictures of unborn babies pleading with their mums not to enter the room on the doors of Xray rooms.

Secondly i noticed i was always exempted from passing through the automated[Best English word i could use]security stuffs anywhere even at the Airports both here and in the States soon as they discovered i was pregnant. My take on this is if it has no effect at all then why the precautions?

My advice will be please do not risk it might be a 50 50 thing but its always best to be save than sorry.Maybe you can try writing CIC on her situation when you get ITA and see what they advice.I know Australian immigration lets the woman do it post pregnancy if they cant give a waiver.

All the best.
Real thanks for your input. I love it when people smartly handle Life issues with common sense. You don't have to be a Medical practitioner to observe that they could be great risks for Pregnant Women.

Repeated sessions of Xrays has lots of predisposing effects on the human body, and the unborn neonate especially is at great risk even from a single session.

@tundechange You don't have a problem at all! Simply mail the CIC about it. I think I have seen somewhere on canadavisaforum, someone faced same predicament and mentioned that their is a waiver/delay or sort. I am not so sure but you can check that forum first, you would see the info. God bless!

It won't harm to evaluate them all. You will get evaluated for two or more degree. 128 points without spouse and 119 points with spouse.

hello, please was just wondering, Does the points reduce with marriage or what?

Btw if I get good ielts grades after evaluating my medical degree, and I get married, Can I include my wife in the PR application to favour good points and even nominations? (is there a gap advantage?)
She has a degree in Med lab science and she will write ielts too.......wat y'all think?

If you are married and your spouse is accompanying you, your score will be reduced by 30 points which your spouse has to earn (20 points for IELTS and 10 points for ECA).

If you get married before receiving ITA, she will need to evaluate her degree and write IELTS to boost your CRS score. However, if you marry after submitting your application, it will not be necessary for her to write IELTS and evaluate her degree. You will just notify IRCC and a new POF to cater for 2 people, her application fee and RPPF, her medicals and PCC will be requested from you.

Thank you very much vcole. I really appreciate your help. Like I said in my first post my experience in the past 3yrs has been in project management. I have started putting in information to create the profile. Just waiting for hubby's ielts, the earliest dtae he got for the exam is 16th July so hopefully we will be in the pool by end of July.
God bless.

vcole:
your ielts scores are clb level 9 which is more or less great for a principal applicant. evaluating only your masters degree would give you the same points as a first professional degree. so, like i said earlier, write wes to conclude your evaluation without your llb because they would only evaluate it as a bachelors and not as a first professional degree required to practise law and as such that evaluation of your llb would not become useful to you as it gives no extra points and also would not be useful if you choose to apply to the NCA to sit for the bar in canada. so, really its a win win situation to just evaluate your masters alone.
Same goes for your husband, evaluate only his masters degree. it would take a much shorter time frame and would give the same points as the mbbs. it is also cheaper. i would advise you use IQAS for that as they seem to have a shorter time line from recent experiences shared here.
What have your job roles/functions been? in which of them do you have the longest duration? i believe nysc experience can suffice as 1 yr of wrk experience as long as you can show proof of your employment and get a letter of reference from your supervisor.
nothing also prevents your husband from beginning the process of evaluating his mbbs seeing as it takes time and he would eventually need it when he wants to sit for licensing exams from the mcc.
So, evaluate his masters, conclude your wes evaluation, get his ielts and get into the pool with you as a principal applicant.
If his mbbs gets evaluated in good time and you have not got an ITA yet while in the pool, i believe you can delete that profile and create another with him as the PA.

Good morning house,I am about starting our PR application process but need your candid advice
1. Hubby has a master degree while I have a B.Sc, He is 36yrs and has about 9yrs working experience while am 32yrs and have about 5yrs working experience.who should be d principal applicant.

2.Hubby's international passport carries a 1982 as his birthday year while his other documents has 1980 has his birthday year, though this was an error from Nigeria immigration but has been using the passport to travel like that.

What do you advice I do, be the Principal applicant or hubby.

Hello Everyone and good job for all the help and advise. I am so impressed at the insights I have received from this forum. I didn't know that Nigerians can be very open and gracious with hardcore honest information like this. The truth is that I didn't know a forum like this existed !!! This is my first time making an enquiry here.

Here's what I really need the gurus in the house to please, please help me with. I have taken my IELTS exams and got my school transcript evaluated, everything seems to be ready ... but my dilemma is that the UK company which I worked in for the last 8years just closed shop in Nigeria. The job I did there was what qualified me in my NOC entry. Someone suggested that I quickly go there (that was while they where still running skeletal services)and make them write a reference letter for me with regards to my EE application, which I did and it was dated March 4 2015. The problem I face now is, like I said, the company has left the country. Nothing like it in Nigeria anymore. They gave all of us redundancy letters. My question is this, will that reference letter which I got from my now redundant company, with regards to my EE application be honored by IRCA when the time comes?
Secondly, the letter was mistakenly addressed to CIC and not IRCA. I am wondering if this would affect anything?
Thankyou everyone. Any input will be highly appreciated

Since the company no longer exists anymore. You should be able to submit the letter and attach previous pay stubs, offer letter, former ID card. Then the question of it been addressed to CIC and not IRCC, I'd doesn't really matter they only changed names and your letter was issued while it was still CIC. In you LOE, explain your predicament to them and if possible attach the e-mail address and phone number of the person who signed your reference letter. If you can't lay your hands on that, get your former colleagues phone number, people who can attest to the fact that you worked there

It's better your husband be the PA cos he has a masters degree.. both of you should have your ECA and IELTS. For the international passport you can either have the dates corrected at immigration or go to the court and do a sworn affidavit, NPC for declaration of age and explain in your LOE that the age on the passport was an error from the passport office but his age is dd/mm/1980. then attach the declaration of age and sworn affidavit to the letter

Go ahead and evaluate both credentials. You would get points higher than a Bsc. More like two or more certificates. So you're good to go

Hi guys, for those who did their evaluation through WES.

I got mails this night that photocopies of my documents have been sent to my institutions for verification. And am wondering if they were sent by courier or email.

Please, those who's passed this stage should kindly enlighten me to enable me follow up.

Thank you.

Hello everyone, please I need your urgent help. I'm about doing my evaluation via IQAS. Please what steps do I need to follow. Unilag says it will take 6 weeks before it gets to Canada. Can I go online and make payments for IQAS, and how much is it actually. On the website, I saw that d application fee is $200,and courier fee to an address inside Canada is $15 and outside Canada is $75 , does that make it a total of $215 or $275.
Secondly, do I have to make payments online first, and then generate a reference/receipt nunber, and then give the reference/receipt number to unilag to put on my transcripts they are sending to IQAS?
Finally, am I sending a photocopy of my certificate myself or I give it to unilag to add to my transcript and send them all together to IQAS?
I hope I can get a response here ASAP. Thanks and God bless us all....

Hello good people in the house,

I plan to relocate to Canada with my family through express entry, after losing my job (April, 2016) due to the current economic downturn in the country. I have a total of nine (9) years working experience with two different employers (5 and 4 years respectively), with the two falling into different NOC.

Is it mandatory that I obtain ‘reference letters’ from the two employers? My understanding of the EE system is to present a reference letter for the job experience one plans to claim point, and seeing that I have more than 3 years working experience with each of the employers, I felt a letter from just one of them will do…………Please, I would like those who know better to clarify this!

Secondly, if at all, a reference letter from only one of the employers is sufficient, would there be a need for me to state the other job experience when creating my express entry profile (remember, I wouldn’t be providing a second reference letter)?

Lastly, I would like to know if it is in order to include my ‘termination letter’ to support my POF as the letter clearly stated that I was entitled to a few Nmillion as severance package.

After close to a year I applied to Nova Scotia Province, I just got a mail from them to confirm if I have not received nomination from any province. I have 10 working days to respond (20th June, 2016).
I have an awaiting submission for Quebec this month (June 13th). What should I do now? Respond to Nova Scotia since I have not received any nomination? Can I run both programs that's if I get nominated by Quebec?
I am hoping to use the provincial to boost my Express Entry score as I currently have less than 340 CRS.
My IELTS expires in Sept, 2016 and my Express Entry profile expires in July 2016 since it is valid for 1 year, How do I create another one on my own as I am currently using an agent?
I would appreciate any advise and feedback.
Thanks a lot guys

meta4,

I believe God just answered your prayer but you did not recognise it.
Firstly, do you know that Quebec PNP is not guaranteed? Your application can be bounced!
Secondly, your EE profile & IELTS are about to expire and suddenly a mail from Nova Scotia NS?
Well, I read somewhere that NS nomination is fast. It can conclude before your EE profile expires.
Lastly, even if both expires, you will recreate your EE and redo IELTS. Guess what? That's what will most definitely do for Quebec. So what the problem if you do it for NS?
I believe your Nova Scotia is a better choice because in less than 10days the process will begin. It even cost less financially.

He's 31 and single. Please help me help a brother out, thanks. cheesy

"I don't know what to advice him"....well, tell him to read this thread. That aside, I suspect the 5 month certification course won't make a difference unless it's a certification of qualification(skilled trade occupations) which will push his score to 443+3 depending on his IELTS score which is currently 393+3. If he believes he can get an LMIA backed job offer during that 5 months period, well then.....that would be huge. Chances of that happening, is slim at best. Here or there, he'd most probably have to go through the PNP route. I don't know much about PNP but for ontario, you need a minimum score of 400 to be invited(they are not inviting anyone at the moment and I'm not sure if they will keep the same requirements when they resume, late on this year, I believe.). As for Manitoba, you'd need some to invite you. Don't know about Saks or Alberta but I believe they'd probably have certain requirements like "in demand jobs" and or a job offer as in the case of Saks.
If he goes for a year program instead, he'll get around 426-5(age) for another degree and a year work permit. A master's or two year program won't make much of difference with the exception of giving him three years work permit. Simply put, two practical choices. Try the PNP or longer education route.
Disclaimer: I've most probably missed out on a genius plan that could work out for him, so do your own research on seek other people's opinion.
