So yesterday, I tried to check the real cost of their data by downloading a video file of 303mb. After the download was completed, I checked my data balance, and was shocked that they have deducted 609mb(double) for a file of 303mb. Pathetic!

So before you sub to glo data, knw that 10gb is actually 5gb and the 6gb is only 3gb. This mischievous act should be condemned and I wish NCC and Lalasticlala can do something about it.

Subscribing to the 10 gb has been one of my biggest regret recently. I'm just waiting for it to finish before I fall back to mtn.

Brother complain less cos I sub for 5k which is 25GB and the way they Zap my data is just too annoying

No lies bro. I subbed #4k for 18gb package. Did my Data usage stats reset on the modem app on my pc and downloaded 64bit drivers for my Dell Latitude Win 7 OS.

Mind you, I use Glarys Utilities & AVG TuneUp 2016 for my light system maintenance having tweaked the workstation/Os for max speed &efficiency; i use it for graphics intensive sturvs. Mind you automatic updates have been disabled in control panel. Bandwidth monitor dey run o!

Drivers of 923mb downloaded, sent INFO to 127 & they brought me balance of 15312mb.

All in all. They're pioneers in breaking data sales records, uv gotta give'em dat. Plus all these liberalization sturvs in da sector's gonna pay consumers more when the dust evwntually settles.

The #1400 BIS Tweak's still going wella too. No zapping complaints. Using that for light browsing, mails etc and the speed, connection etc's good.

When glo network was acting up in my area, I was one of those that voiced out.
But today d network is stable now and we r back on track.

I also sub for that 10gig, and I must say d thing no gree finish upon my downloads an YouTube videos wey I dey watch.

I use BlackBerry tho, so I don't know if that has any significant effect to data usage.

So today I subscribe for 12gb, i have an app that helps me monitor phone data consumption, the app says I have consumed 70mb, I checked my data balance, close to 140mb was deducted.

I checked airtel website, to be fair, they Said from 6am to 10pm data rate is 2kobo per kb while from 10pm to 6 am the data rate is 1kobo per 1kb. My guess is, from 10pm, normal data rate consumption.

It clearly shows this telecoms are not really giving cheap data as they want us to believe.

The problem with us is that most times we fail to read terms of services and we end up crying foul when it happens l.

Airtel have certain normal data plans that double bills i.e. deduct your data twice as fast and Airtel clearly stated that.

They also have data plans that don't double bill and they also stated that too.

So you must have subscribed to Airtel data plan that double bills.

Here is my exact data usage, am even enjoying it!..
I bought a new brand sim, Suncribed for the Glo data 2500 for 10Gb
So far my data usage is 950mb and my data balance is clearly equal! Am even enjoying it

back to my glo Etisalat has shown me pepper beside they don't have any cheap package

This isn't entirely true, although the data allocated to me as well isn't exactly accounted for.
I used to buy the 8k for 24GB sub and it was okay, after the price slash same 24GB now goes for 5k, i am currently using the 5k plan for 24GB, my data meter claimed I have used 17.67GB, while checking my data balance just now, I still have 5457MB left, that's reasonable enough if you do the maths, don't you think?

Mines pretty normal...though i had 700mb extra data

and what can lalasticlala do about it, he also has network issues. Glo still remains the best though.
