That was a right move you made. I paid 87% of my tuition but I wish I paid all. Dollar- naira rate won't be favourable in the coming weeks.

Yours is remaining only 13%, you should be able to pay that when you get here and do some work. I just checked Google, 1 dollar is now officially 280.50 Naira.

thank you... my second application was refused on purpose of visit and family ties at home and Canada while the third one was just insufficient fund I wonder what there problem is. So u do u think her coming August won't be a good idea considering the fact that I was delayed in MAY? Thank you.

If she comes in August and the two of you wed, you can put in your application for open work permit in January. The earlier you guys wed the better because her visa is expiring in 2017.

Well,by the grace of God,i should be able to pay for it even before I go. But then, I'm waiting for my visa outcome. Hope it will come out good.

Wait o,us dollar has climbed from 197 to 280? That's some big ass devaluation. This government has failed us.

He last updated the house when he got his medical request, the rest was just vague insinuations. No passport request, no pickup. That's unlike him, just sayin'.

@RealJ i concur with you.quite unlike him.cos i know the joy wanting to tell ur friends on NL u'v been with the journey since last year. Any core active member on NL denied twice or even once and becomes successful later always come to share the testimony. I v read his posts,i only saw when he talked about medical call. The approved and closed or testimony na e i no see than today he was asked by a NLder

With the 219.9 naira to 1 Canadian, will this affect those who have applied with a lower exchange rate when calculating the proof of fund (available money) as the rate is now higher? could This devaluation make someone who has met this criterion before be refused for insufficient fund , assuming the person doesn't have surplus?

I don't think it will, as long as your Sponsor have good inflow and outflow. #I think they look mainly at the source.

Hello house, please I need your advise on this issue. I have been refused study visa for 3 times now latest being last month (may) and I don't want to reapply again. Now I have my fiance in Canada on a 2 years study permit (November 2015- November 2017) she want to come home this august or December for our wedding my question is can I apply using spouse open work permit ?
Won't it look like a red flag or not? Please advice.

I am so sorry about the refusals. I have been in Canada since 2009 and have somewhat of a good grasp on the immigration system. Surely, it will raise a red flag but be sure to put in enough evidence to show that the marriage is genuine and not a marriage of convenience. Trust me, you will get the work permit, do not panic. Good luck

Good people, I'm new to this forum. Would like to ask some questions.
1) I applied to memorial uni, for Msc in environmental policy since may, and not still heard from them, how long before they respond? I have 3.5cgpa in Bsc, 10years work experience in banking, what's the possibility of them giving me a positive response.
2) I want my wife and two kids below 10 years to accompany me, my POF is about 6m.
Will appreciate your honest opinion, thank you.

Schools typically take 4-weeks to respond. What did you study for your undergrad? I am not scared about you getting admission, I am scared about you getting the Study Visa. Brother, your profile looks like that of an immigrant. Why don't you migrate through skilled worker? With 10 years working experience in the Financial Industry, an MBA would have been a better route for to take waka.

Why don't you go first without your family, at least this will show that you have home ties in Naija.

Well, I guess you have a reason for choosing the course. That been said, I would advise you apply to multiple schools to enhance your chances of been accepted. 3.5 is an OK CGPA. However, it is by no means fantastic.

Stay Blessed. You asked for honest opinion this is why i poured out my heart considering the years of experience I possess dealing with IRCC

U submitted in Abuja right?
With d N25 photocopy
Odinwa:
Hello everyone, I submitted my application today and I have handed everything over to God. hopefully I will be handed my visa in the coming weeks.

This is just a piece of information for those that are yet to submit, make sure you have 2 photocopies of your passport data page and also the bar code page Of your study Permit form, or else you will be charged 25 naira for one page photocopy there.
Secondly, while filling the study Permit form, in the section where they asked for "place of birth", make sure you write only the city or town, don't write the state or anything else cos I met 3 people that were sent back to correct it and come tomorrow after waiting for 4-5 hrs.

God bless you all and grant us our TRV IN Jesus name! Amen.

Source of fund : is when you provide financial resources .Probably from your business ,place of work ,savings , properties of value in monetary terms. By submitting SOA,certificate of ownership, saving etc.
