Bros what does Ngwanu mean ? i like how it sounds
In perfect English, it'd mean something like "Okay/Alright then", but then it won't give the desired interpretation. In order to give a perfect and contextual - more Nigerian - interpretation, it'd be best translated with pidgin, like..."Oya nau".

You gotta pay for tutorial, bro

I was born and breed in Sokoto, attended nursery, primary and secondary school in Sokoto. Then went back to my state to complete my tertiary education. I'm currently working at PH. Before I came here(PH), I had an option to work in Lagos But was advised by my uncle to choose PH, cuz lasgidi is not a place For people who Are still trying to arrive.

Don't be dismay though, follow your instincts, mine never fails me.
Good luck.

Don't go to Lagos please!!!!! Benin City is the best place to live on earth. Come and share fun, love, peace and unity. It's the heart-beat of the nation. No militants, no oil spills. Natural and homely. Edo State is number one!

Lagos na hell fire o! I advice you to come over prepared. Not just financially but mentally, because this city will break you no matter how strong you are.

The noise is hellish
The traffic is crazy
The people are ruthless
Every day life is tough and being jobless here is death. You can come and be lucky but trust me you don't wanna base ur trip on luck.

And oh, everybody in Lagos is crazy except me. I mean that literally.

I advice u go out there and explore life irrespective of what it has to offer.

Please I need wrap of whatever you're smoking. I'm from Port Harcourt and I don't think you've traveled more than I have.

OP, it is your life, but as someone who has lived in at least 8 states in Nigeria for various purposes (growing up, schooling, work and eventually business which I now do), I will give you some advice.

1) You do not make a relocation move simply because you "like" a place. Relocation is serious business and people have had their destinies marred or delayed because they made careless relocation moves without considering a lot of things.
2) You must clearly define why you are moving.
3) When you enter the new city, what will you be doing there? When I moved to Abuja with just N50,000 in my pocket, I got a rude awakening with the cost of rent. If not by the grace of God that would have been a big setback for me. I came to Abuja not prepared to work for anybody. Today the business I do there is thriving but there were heavy challenges. I naturally have a mind of steel so I was able to pull through.
4) I lived in Lagos at a point in my life for one year and knew immediately the place was not for me. Too noisy, polluted, flooding, etc. LASTMA has once taken N20,000 from me for traffic violation. In Abuja, not one time have I had any such troubles. Did I mention the traffic? Never pray to get stuck in Lagos traffic. If you don't have the stomach for it, forget it.
5) Consider where you will live. Mainland vs Island? That is the big question.
6) Will you be working or doing business?
7) Would you like to raise a family in Lagos? Lagos is a crime-ridden state. Believe it or not. Compared to PH where I lived for a long long time, Lagos is tough and not for the faint-hearted. If you think the matching ground and foundation and drink + goat+ youth fees you pay in PH for land acquisition are bad, try and have an experience with the "omo'niles" in Lagos. A trial will convince you.

All told, I cannot advice you on what to do with your life. But for me, I would prefer PH to Lagos anyday. I still visit PH and it is a town close to my heart.

Think well b4 u relocate because Lagos hustle is like facing they dreaded Boko boys in Sambisa especially for New comers.

Weigh your options, be ready to accept responsibility for your decisions.

I left Kaduna some years ago while everything was Ok to Lagos. In Lagos, I felt like I was in military base. I had to leave and I couldn't cope even when I have relatives.

That single decision to move to Lagos affected me so bad but I have learn my lesson.

Coward! As for me, I can only leave Lagos for CA, and not just anywhere in the USA. And once I do that, Its going to between CA and my village. Then, I will avoid Lagos like a plague.

I am sure the op is an ikwere man.
I have been in phc for 8 years and have never seen of heard of an ikwere man leave ikwere land or travel out.

The indiginship of a thing has eaten so dip into them.

I am sure, there is no ikwere man or phc man in Lagos. I stand to be corrected.

My advice to op is this, don't go to Lagos because you will be the only ikwere man there.

Which time Rivers person start to travel out of PH, STRANGE. Take my candid opinion, if you have a job, house and family in ph, better remain there. Lagos is something else, not what everyone thanks, there is no milk and honey here. Instead wahala and trouble. But the good thing is that your IQ or brain will boot faster, and if you are a hustler you will still fetch something for urself. I have leave in both States over 3yrs each
