I will look where I saved a pic to post here....and maybe after you can go and introduce those strict laws of yours to Roma people selling bush meat by road sides. Because if you have truly traveled by road out of Germany then there is nothing you can't find by the road sides, call girls are there on road side you can f**k pay 50euro and still continue ur journey a lot of things I can't even name
Well I won't argue with you mister traveler, I was just giving a candid advice to a real traveler not some fake people that stay in one European country claiming to have been everywhere in Europe

2weeks?? That's quite short for such an interesting journey.. It appears they aren't very generous with 9ja tourist

They give you what you requested for. My bank statement had only 600k+, I don't think it would have favoured me to apply for more than 2 weeks, if not they could deny you saying you dont have enough funds to cover your stay.

I tried looking up car rental from frankfurt... can I use international driver's license without having the residency card? Also, I'm alone withh a 10 month old, I'm thinking it will be risky driving 11 hours, but then... I'm all for doing crazy things!!! Will think about it.

Will be applying for baby's Nigerian passport next week.. hopefully, will get it same day, then we are ready to go!

Modified:

Brosssss!!!!! $845 to rent car? Bus is 19 - 29 Euros shocked

That 854 will even get u ur own used small car in Germany!

Yes, she has a US passport. I had to buy her insurance though, and the german embassy requested for her passport copy and birth certificate before considering my application.

Thanks to the guy that spoke about driving instead of taking a bus.

So I researched and researched and researched and came across a car sharing website called blablacars.co.uk where someone going your way can pick you up at the central station and drop you off at your destination.

I've seen a ride for 25 euros across the 3 countries... has anyone heard or used blablacars.co.uk before or any car sharing platform?

[quote author=wanderlustian post=46563329]I'm starting this thread to chronicle my journey across Europe this summer.

I've never been to Europe before and german embassy gave me 2 weeks visa, so I can as well visit all the places I can while at it.

I'm travelling with a 10 month old baby. She's pretty strong (we've been on the road since she was 1 week old, and travelling since she was 1 month old, so I'm guessing she will be a good sport).

I have family and friends in Milan, but I'm arriving in Frankfurt 1st, then taking a bus from Frankfurt to Milan through Switzerland (cheaper than the train).

If you have experience in taking this kind of journey please help me draw out a plan.

I personally will love to visit Munich, Berlin, Geneva, Venice and Rome as well, but I think it will be quite a herculean task visiting each city with a baby strapped to my back or chest.

I'm starting the journey at the end of this month, and even if you can't come with me, stay hooked to this thread! grin

How come you were given only 2 weeks German tourist visa? I'm always given 1 year.

I have used blabla car to travel within Germany. Its just about an individual going somewhere and instead of going alone, he puts an advert online for passengers to join him for a fee.
Is this person going to travel to 3 countries by himself? I don't understand? Never heard of that

OP Pls permit me to seek advice on your thread

I will be going to for a conference in Spain. After the conference, I will also like to visit one or two more Schegen countries before travelling back. Now, my question is: should I tell the Spanish embassy about my intention to visit these other countries or is it better I don't talk about it at all. I don't know if the schegen visa gives some sort of restrictions. I'm a lone traveller and 10days is all I need in Europe.

How is it going, OP? I have been to Germany thrice, but never to Switzerland and only once long ago to Italy.

Claremont, as others have posted here, Europe does not really have "bushmeat" in the sense of going into the wild and coming back with meat you kill. Knowing Europe, it is probably beef, chicken, or lamb if the sellers are Muslims (most likely Turks). If they are Christians, then it's probably beef, chicken, or pork. Regardless, it was almost certainly raised on a farm and bought at a grocery store or a butcher shop. Not even gun and hunt crazy Americans sell much game meat, or at least not on the side of the road. not that I know how they do it.

Swartz & NePro, If the meat is being sold by Gypsies, I have no idea what it could be, but it's probably something they farmed themselves and are just (likely illegally) selling direct. Think pig, sheep, or goat -- small farmers can't afford to kill their cows often. Just never gib moni to the Gypsies, or else they will swarm you.

The ones you mentioned are not bushmeat, the person I replied to specifically mentioned bushmeat. I also know that ''bushmeat'' like we know it in Nigeria is banned from being prepared or sold within the EU. So I'm keen to know where he got his, and what type it was.
