So the DSS wants to monitor and detain professional soldiers who were retired unceremoniously just cuz they expose the fraud called Buratai?

This government is inviting trouble and serious trouble they will get.

HonSuQMaDIQ:
Competent sources told Independent that the Department of State Security (DSS) may have placed some recently retired army officers on surveillance on the belief that they may be the principal sponsors of the disclosure, which is seen as a smear campaign on military top brass.

The CORRUPT Buratai walks free while others who MAY have exposed his THEFT of our commonwealth are to be haunted down.
Is this how Buhari fights corruption?
We are messed up and in trouble, walahi.

The COAS should be investigated and if found guilty then he should be made to face the music
Trying to shield him will ridicule the anti-corruption crusade

I am beginning to entertain the thought that Buratai may well be innocent of these claims.

How can one explain $1.5Million translating into 4.3Billion Naira? Pls let us endeavour to use our brains atleast when reading & digesting news.
But you can believe all the figures given in Dasukigate you are a pathetic zombie

You seriously asked what 295 million is Do you have up to 1million naira in your account? The way some of you folk reason is just pathetic.
How can a civil servant save that kind of money That is one question you people have failed to answer.
If he could save that kind of money during his military career then I wonder what his pension will be...maybe 1billion naira.

Yes ibos like defending any corrupt person that is against PMB's administration...am a yoruba man and I want each and every corrupt person to be probed including Buratai, aisha, fayose, even GEJ for his carelessness

You're not a bastard. Majority of your people will even call for the head of their brother if found culpable in any wrongdoing. They will call for his immediate probe and pressure him/her to go and prove his innocence or otherwise.

So how much more one bloody military wannabe anti-graft crusader like Buratai?

GMB needs to be careful so that a kitchen cabinet does not sprout from his government that holds him ransom and destroys his wide acceptance nationally and internationally.

The truth is that this man is corrupt and instead of the DSS arresting him they are planning to arrest those who exposed the fraud. Shame on Buhari and his foolish corruption fight. Do you fight corruption with corrupt individuals?

Chai! I can't even believe what I read. Its like this is not even a country.

I just can't fathom why it's difficult for people to do the honorable thing once in controversy, at least until such time that a conviction or acquittal is established.

I still have some respect for that woman that resigned from a committee set up by PMB the moment she was alleged to have been involved in exam malpractice at her doctorate level.

That is totally impossible, his salary in this position he currently occupies is 700,000 to 900,000 naira, at 1,000,000 naira, he needs to save for not less than 14 or 15 years to buy those mansions, that is if he doesn't make any expenses, and he has two wives, each with kids, look these people declare properties they don't own in the CCB only to pay for them when they assume office, if you then ask, they say oh! I declared it as my asset in the CCB go and check it, hehehehe! Open ya eyes.

Careful scrutiny will reveal the issue of anticipatory asset declaration, especially if the date of purchases of those properties are sought. Oh, I forgot one of the houses was said to have been bought about three months after he got the COAS position. The second house also needs investigation.

And sincerely, I think Buratai needs serious explaining to do. But first he needs to stand down/step down as a first declaration of support for the anti-corruption stand of the government he works with and believes in. Then let the EFCC do its unbiased job. No one I a sacred cow. But will the EFCC giddy up on this? Time will tell.

Since the PDP has failed to recover from her self inflicted damage and coma, I only hope that another viable and trusted opposition will arise before 2019, get voted for, and put all those currently in government that may have escaped objective scrutiny on trial. By the time this cycle gets repeated in one decade, the number of corrupt politicians will have reduced by 80% and the number of the anticipating or prospective corrupt among our youths will have been reduced to the barest minimum.
