funny enough I used to be scared of touching snakes even when they are dead until I decided to end my fears by not just touching it but eating it. since that days eeehm, its a no going back thing for me ooo. but I select the breeds I eat sha, as some are obviously sweeter than others.

some years ago, it was believed that the gaboon viper was almost extinct. The last one in captivity literally killed itself by burying it's fangs into it's back....the gaboon viper has probably the longest fangs in the snake kingdom...I was surprised when I saw one in Nigeria...it was common in Congo.

I think its called puff adder in English.
But bros eeeeehm, if you really want to enjoy this particular breed the best way is to smoke it dry after garnishing with seasoning, salt and pepper. it can also go well as pepper soup sha, but when left for too long it gets too soft. just invite me when you're done.

d first day I chop am na wen I see does hefty boys for my skul dey chop am as my landlord bring am dey share am as e reach my turn fear no allow me talk no some gehs even collect dat day I had to find a corner to call my mum first dat hope we don't forbid eating of snakes ooo and she said son chop u r now a man and dat was d first day I ate I even collected more keep it to warm take chop go skul d next day and so was my journey into snake eating began.......but dat nite I no fit sleep ooo fear hold me die
