You are beginning to sound ridiculous.
It took the great Cr7 almost 32 good years to win his first Euro cup, whereas it took small boy Sanchez just 18 years to win it, think about it, use that thing if it's still functioning well.

Goodnyt sir.

Ronaldo has been delivering in crucial CL knockout games, delivering in Euro cup from age 19

Hidden Pius Ikedia Hazard is 25, Nothing to write home about in CL, World cup so far

Abeg who knows the 19yrs old Santos striker, Gabriel barbosa, from Brazil?

Kalas @ 23years of age on another loan to Fulham. My guess is,Chris would be next in line.

If ever my son chooses to play soccer,as a young player, cfc will be the last club I will agree to sign him. Maybe when he turns 28yrs or more,no wahala.

He's not a striker. He's a crap selfish winger who can't pass the ball or see a teammate. All he does is cut inside from the right wing and shoot on his left foot like Andros Townsend. . . .or like Depay.

Another Emenalo special.

What exactly do we need a 19yrs old unproven winger for again?

Marko marin, salah, moses, cuadrado, pedro and willian we already have them in a single position. There is definitely something wrong with this club.

Meanwhile what is your take on kalas loan?

I must confess,I sincerely fear for the career of our youth players. There is definitely no hope or future for them in CFC. It is a pity!!

Conte held his first meeting with the media today, with the start time scheduled for 14:00 hours. In front of a horde of journalists from a variety of backgrounds. Here’s a full transcript of Conte’s opening press conference as Chelsea boss, after being pictured holding our famous home shirt for a battery of photographers.

Conte’s introduction

‘Good afternoon everyone. It’s a great pleasure to be here. I’m very happy. I think that I worked a lot to get here and I’m excited for this moment and to start a new season with Chelsea. This is a new chapter for my life, for my career, for me, and for my family. I’m very happy to start to work in a new country, a fantastic country, in a fantastic league. I think this league is very difficult – the most difficult in the world because there are six or seven teams that can win the title, and Chelsea is a great team. I’m very proud to be the new manager of this great team.’

What has he seen in training so far?

‘This is my second day of training in Cobham, and I must say it’s fantastic to work in Cobham. In these two days I saw players with the right attitude and behaviour, with a great will to fight for this shirt, to fight and to go back soon to compete for the best position, to compete to win the title. After these two days I’m very glad to see these things and I think that this is very important.’
On John Terry’s captaincy and potential new role…

‘John Terry signed a contract as a player, not as a different role. He is captain of this team, he is a great player with a great personality, a great charisma. I like to speak with him because I know he knows the club, he knows the right spirit to play for this club. For me he is an important player, like the others also. All the players know that I’ll judge from the training pitch and choose my starting XI. Those who deserve to play will play. When he plays he will be captain, always.

‘I repeat that John Terry is an important player, for me, for the club, for the fans. He signed in May, but all decisions we take together – me, the club – and yes I am very pleased that John Terry signed a new deal with Chelsea. I spoke with him several times and for me it was the most important thing that John, when he signed, was that he was happy.’

Does he feel under pressure at Chelsea?

‘The pressure for me is not important because I was born with pressure. The pressure is not important for me. It’s normal, when you are a player or a manager of a great club, you must play to win, to win the title, or to fight with the other teams to win the title. I know that this league is very difficult, because there are six or seven teams that can win the title and for this reason this situation is very exciting. We know that this year won’t be easy for us because if we think of last season – 10th position was a bad season. We know that, me, the players, the club. But I think we must (focus on) the present, to work very hard every day, every week, every month to achieve something important. The fans need to see a team ready to fight until the end, and to compete with the other teams. Only one team can win the title but we must stay there at the end of the season, to fight for the title, for Champions League (qualification). Chelsea belongs in the Champions League, we must stay there.’

What tactics can we expect to see?

‘We’ve started to work on different aspects and I think that every manager has their own method, their own philosophy. I want to transfer my ideas to the players. I think that it’s important to work on different aspects – tactical, technical and physical, and also on mentality – to become strong and help us to overcome difficulties during training sessions and games. It’s important also to have players who have the ability to bring your ideas and methods. At the moment I’m happy about this because I know to have players ready to fight, to play, to transfer our emotion to our fans. I think this is the most important thing this year. Win or lose, but if we are able to transfer our passion to the fans, I think this is a great victory for me, for the players, for the club.

‘Usually when you arrive in a new team, I evaluate the right positions for the players. When I was in Italy I liked to say the manager is like a tailor who must build the best dress for the team. You have to respect their characteristics, their talents, and then you decide. In the past I started other seasons with one idea of football and then I changed it, because I saw that the system for these players was not good. Three at the back, four at the back, it’s not important for us – what’s important is the spirit of the team if we want to compete again for the title. I think I can improve my players a lot. It’s important, I repeat, that there must be a good ability and I’m sure we can improve a lot through the work.’

Is this is biggest challenge?

‘I don’t know if it’s the hardest challenge in my career. When I arrived in Juventus, we had two 7th-place finishes in the previous two seasons, and then we built something fantastic because we won the title in the first year, then the second and third. Also the experience with the national team was fantastic but also very difficult. We had a great pressure from the media and the whole country who follow you and who see what you’re doing. I think this is a great challenge. I think this is the right moment for me to arrive in England, in this tournament. (It’s) very tough, but I like this, I like the challenge, I like to prove myself in this situation. I’m sure with the players and the club all together we can achieve great satisfaction at the end of the season.

Is he another ‘Special One’?

‘I’m not very good at finding a different name for myself. I hope during the season I will give you the opportunity to find a new name for me and I hope it’ll be a good name. The most important message is that I’m a worker, I like to work, I know only this road to winning – to go back for this club very soon to compete, to go back to play in the Champions League, to go back to winning the title. I know only this verb – work, work work. But I’m very happy because I’ve seen the right attitude in Cobham and I’m very happy with this.’

On the signing of Michy Batshuayi…

‘He is a young player, but very strong. Good technique, he uses two feet, great talent. I’m very happy that Batshuayi joined us, and I know that the club bought a great player for the present and for the future.’

Will we see touchline antics like at the Euros?

‘This is how I am. I don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing but I have a great passion for football, for my team, for my work. During games and during training sessions I like to stay with my players, to train together, to play with them, to win with them, to lose – I hope not so much – but that’s me, I have great passion and I want to transfer my passion onto my players. Also to my fans because I suffer during the game and I want my players and fans to see this because we work during the week very hard to reach our target. When this doesn’t happen, I’m not happy, but I find with all my strength to reach with my players the final victory.’

What about his intense training methods?

‘This league is very tough, very physical. High intensity. Very strong compared to other leagues. If you want to win, you must play good football and attractive football, but must also have a good physical condition. Usually if you have great organisation and great talent you also run more than the others. Then I think you have more probability to win and for this reason I like to work on all aspects. I think that’s important.’

Bournemouth loanee Nathan Ake says he has joined the Cherries from parent club Chelsea to gain Premier League experience as a central midfielder.

Ake, 21, played predominantly as a left-back during 28 appearances on loan at Watford last season.

New Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is behind the idea of a midfield role for the Netherlands Under-21 international.

"To get an eye on how I cope, I think he wants to see me play a season there in the Premier League," Ake said.

"The manager has been in discussions with the technical director (Michael Emenalo) at Chelsea. After this season, we'll see how I get on,
" he told BBC Radio Solent.

Eddie Howe's interview today was quite interesting. He explains that Bournemouth signed Ake due to his versatility. He highlights the fact that Ake played 28 games at LB for Watford, but points out that Ake's best position is in central midfield.

This could suggest that the boy has been sent out to develop further as a midfielder. Considering that we are definitely in the market for midfielders, it's very possible that Conte has already evaluated him and found him wanting - Afterall, why would Conte be chasing the likes of Naingollan if he hadn't already evaluated the quality of midfielders already on ground?

Of course Emenalo detractors would argue that Ake could have been given a chance in midfield this season, but considering that we have Matic and Fab in place, with Kante(possibly) to come, I genuinely think that this is a great opportunity for the boy to get some substantial EPL experience in central midfield under minimal pressure. Hope it goes well for him.

I quite like the idea of gabriel barbosa as well. He's a tricky little striker kind of in the Aguero mould. The main problem with these brazilians is their love for partying and faaji lifestyle. This lad is only 19 and has already covered himself in tats and barbed a funny hairstyle.

If Conte could figure out how to control the exuberant Pogba, he may be able to handle 'Gabigol' though. Let's see what happens.

And BTW, according to RMC Sport, N'Golo Kante will
sign a five-year contract with Chelsea. He is
set to undergo a medical in the next 48 hours.

I knew you'd quote this. . . . infact it proves the exact opposite, namely Conte does not know the boy, has never spoken to him and Emenalo made the call.

Hear him. . . .

"I think he wants to see me play a season there in the Premier League. . ."

Ake THINKS. . . . he is only second guessing because he has never spoken to Conte. He is surmising that Conte does not know him, and will be looking at him this season.

"The manager has been in discussions with the technical director (Michael Emenalo) at Chelsea. After this season, we'll see how I get on"

That is the decision maker there . . . Michael Emenalo. . . . FRONT AND CENTRE. . . . Conte will naturally discuss with Emenalo if there are any development players that Emenalo thinks is ready. It is up to Emenalo to put forward the names. In Ake's case, Emenalo does not think he is better than our current options and advised this course of action. Conte does not know Ake.

Even if Kante signs today, Ake is my third choice DM and first choice LB. If you sign a leftback, he is 2nd choice left-back and 3rd choice DM. Whichever way you cut it, INCOMPETENCE is Emenalo's name.

Well, obviously Emenalo is responsible for finding homes for loanees so no surprises there. But like I said earlier, there is simply no way that Conte doesn't have a good idea about what he wants and what he's missing from the squad...especially in midfield, otherwise he would not be chasing Kante and Naingollan even before he resumed at Chelsea.

From the looks of it, it's like both the boy and the club see his future at midfield. Eddie Howe said it. Seems like Conte and Emenalo see it the same way. Now considering that Ake has only played 1 full season of professional football in his career, and mostly at left back, why is it incompetent to send him off on loan to develop in that position?

We currently have Matic, Mikel, Fabregas, and RLC in the first team. Oscar could potentially be playing in CM too this season(if he's not sold). We're not in Europe this season and so there is less scope for rotation. Also there is going to be a lot of pressure on Conte to significantly improve on a 10th place finish and get us back in to the top 4, so I doubt that he would have been keen to train up a rookie in that position this season.

Either way, if Ake stayed, there is no way he would have got minutes in Central midfield.

I find it quite interesting that Ake would have been your 3rd choice midfielder when he has barely played there for most of his career, and the matches he did play in that position were not shown on telly, so you would probably have been unable to watch him do so anyway....

Yet the guy whose job it is to follow the lad's career is incompetent for sending him out on loan to develop as a midfielder.
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by lalaboi(m): 4:13pm On Jul 15, 2016
Nihilist making more sense here. .

Its not a bad idea sending him out on loan to develop as a 'Midfielder' and not a Left back . .

Also this could go bad and Howe may well play him as left back more than midfield as risk of losing him. Most managers will not depend on loanees to make their season. .

Its not such a bad call. Free emenalo this time. .

There is no doubt that Conte knows what he is missing. . . . that has never been the question. . . . the question has always been that Emenalo has no clue what he is missing. . . . and who could possible help from his development squad.

Nihilist:

All this one na English. Ake played half a season in midfield for Reading and won 5 MOTM awards there plus he played a few games there for Chelsea and impressed. I even remember one of those matches where he was brought on to kill a game and you Nihilist commented that Mikel is finished that Benitez trusts Ake over him. I got elephant memory gee! cheesy

With Matic and Kante there, Ake would still be next in line. Conte no send Fabregas.

Ake is currently the best left-back at Chelsea. All this grammar no go help matter. Did Emenalo not want him to develop as a midfielder when he sent him to Watford to play Left-Back last season?

A young player would take any position to establish himself in a top team and does not care whether it is midfield or left back.

If you ask the boy today to stay and take the no3 shirt, he would prefer that than going on loan to play midfield. Alaba did not argue when he got chance to establish himself at Bayern as a left-back, neither does Kimmich complain when he is played right-back. They both see themselves as midfielders.

Ake came to Chelsea as a centre-back sef, then learned midfield and left-back work. It is not like he is picky.

Ake is currently our no1 leftback. Chelsea does not have a leftback solution within the team other than him. What are we discussing here, Chelsea's needs or the needs of another club?

Emenalo is just trying to protect his flop signing Baba Rahman.

Chelsea are reportedly set to complete the signing of Leicester City star N’Golo Kante. Meanwhile, what's up with Costa? I read somewhere that the ninja has handed in a transfer request.
