This is rubbish to me. We are only good with theories. After all these hogwash of questions, they still never get a conviction in Nigerian courts. No case is ever won or lost, they just keep adjoining cases till either the plaintiff or respondent dies. Mscheeeew

If you finished from a good Nigerian school, u would know that there are times you prepare very well for a particular exam but the lecturer(s) will just come out and shock everybody including the scholars in the class.
I have experienced such situations.

Ogbeni op, dis questions are easy to argue about if u re a true law student, even as a mass comm graduate, I can still answer like 2 questions

So from page 0 to page 3 no one has been able to answer any of the question, or at best give a clue, yet everyone is claiming its easy?

i wrote the exam myself on Monday... it was my last paper. the lecturer just wanted to confuse us with grammar. those who are grammatically sagacious had no issues with it, some of those who aren't, ended up answering out of point. buh deciphering those words wasn't easy i tell u

As someone rightly stated before it's all jargons that 500l law students are supposed to be familiar with.
From my observation though, the lecturer set the questions in such a way that there's a very thin line between having a C or D in this course. If you read the course materials well you should be able to answer two questions but if you really read wide and understood the lecturer you get at least a B. A first class student like myself will be able to get an A by answering 3 questions comprehensively.

The funny thing is that if you see the lecturer (DR Bazuaye) who set this questions, you won't take him seriously!

That's UNIBEN for you. Don't be surprised to know that even those 3 questions the candidate marked, he has absolutely no idea of the answers...You just chose any 3 that feels somehow friendlier than the others.

It must be typical of the examiner. I bet the students excepts such. So no problem for them attempting.

Very simple but not straight questions. The lecturer is only using grammar to cover the simplicity of the questions.

I wish ALL STUDENTS who wrote the exams GOOD success.




Check out this questions from COOU, Igbariam Campus, another simple exams.

The secret here is class attendance and adequate study with good knowledge of English Grammar/Language.

All Nigerian institutions know are big grammer and a lot of theory reading.

They don't do practical, the same professors and 1st class students cannot make candle or spoon without chinese help.

But, you see, the questions are not hard. But the trick is that you won't know/understand as an outsider. What the students just need to focus on are the key words; the answers to the questions were all what they have treated in class.

bro, I concur with ur point. Using poly ibadan as an example drew me back to my ND 1 days @ poly ibadan. Then, I was to attempt sociology, psychology and other look alike courses under public administration dept. It wasn't funny the way the lecturers twisted the question to give me brain tumor. But, thank God I overcome it all.

Seriously, as someone in the field. I'm not worried about the questions. The grammar could be reduced to simpler postulations. My concern is the time. I feel that the time allotted for the question would not be enough for an extensive essays on those questions.

They are lucky it's an essay question.... the best is to write everything you know about the topic and leave the grammar for the lecturer. it's not advisable for law students to use big grammar n esoteric terms while answering law questions, but still, depends on the lecturer.
