Change is affecting everything. Ojota to Maryland was N50 when fuel was N87 and still N50 now that fuel is N145. The bus drivers are bearing the extra cost but no one notices cos no one really cares about them sad

Facts about Baker Hughes Nigeria

1. This company had a union many years ago. This union ensured that staff were well payed and taken care of but this union was destroyed by Mr Tayo who was the MD and current global Vice President in Baker Hughes. He destroyed it by bribing the zunion officials. The union officials turned back and betrayed the staff and accepted the current wicked contract on their behalf. If you don't accept it, you are sacked. The company rewarded Tayo by promoting him and posting him abroad.

2. nigeria is one of the country that makes the highest profit margin for Baker Hughes yet her staff are paid the worst compared to all Baker hughes offices worldwide.

3. When their People are laid off in Congo and other african countries , Baker Hughes gives them the following; 9 months minimum salary, 3 Morgan salary per year worked and one year health insurance. The staff are the ones that gives the company notice that they want to be laid off Or the company will give them at least one month notice. In Nigeria, no notice is given . Instead bouncers and security men wil just appear I your office and bundle you out. Also they only pay them 2 weeks per year. Imagine working for 8 years and going home with 500thousand.

4. This company is not allowed to take out more than 60percent of her income according to Nigerian Law. The 40percenr should be invested I Nigerians But they keep smuggling this money out. Efcc take note

I really detest those Chinese and indians. They're wicked people.

What do you expect when your own leaders in various indigenous companies are treating staff like an outcast?

Charity begins at home: ranging from Nigerian banks to other multinationals, slavery abounds.

It is an act of idiosyncracy to expect outsiders to respect your parents when it is obvious that their children and relatives accord them none.

Get it right.

We have a MAJOR PROBLEM HERE.
I just don't know what is wrong with us Nigerians.

We have fantastic resources unharnessed.
Indians, Chinese, Lebanese and Americans come over HERE and extract our resources.
We apply to their companies to work as staff of whatever level -junior or senior.

They pay themselves X Dollars and pay you 1/10th of X dollars.

Then you ate complaining? Who the hell are you to complain? Go and form your own company and extract the resources yourself. If you have power, YOU TRAVEL TO THEIR COUNTRY, FORM YOUR COMPANH THERE, EXTRACT THEIR RESOURCES, EMPLOY THEM THEN PAY THEM 1/10TH COMPARED TO YOUR OWN EARNING.

For how long will Nigerians continue to think that the work of White skinned people is to come to Nigeria, develop everywhere fine-fine for you and STILL DASH YOU MONEY ON TOP AGAIN?

What kind of mumulistic thinking is decaying our brains?
You want Independence? YOU GOT IT. Oyibos have GONE WITH THEIR GIFTS. ANY White person you see in this country is here to COLLECT, COLLECT AND COLLECT!!!!!!!

They DO NOT HAVE YOU IN MIND. YOU ARE NOT THEIR CHILD.

We need to face our own business no matter how difficult.

I believe there are graduates HERE IN NIGERIA, WHO WENT OVERSEAS, WELL EDUCATED, EYES WIDE OPENED, FULLY EXPOSED, but because we have some WRONG SET OF IMPORTATION DEPENDENT LEADERS, these graduates are not given jobs or responsibilities to TURN THE ENTIRE NIGERIAN ECONOMY AROUND.

IS THERE ANY F***ING DAFT IDIOT HERE ON NAIRALAND? NO
NO
NO
NO
NO
Everybody on this website is BRILLIANT. YET WE FIND IT SO DIFFICULT TO MINE AND RECOVER OUR OWN RESOURCES.

We are all intelligent. Given a chance, we can do something.

Is it really that HARD?
Why are multinationals still doing it for us? What equipment do they use to do it that SOMEBODY CANNOT BUY?
WHAT OPERATION IS OPERATING IT THAT NAIGERIANS CANNOT OPERATE?

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

When I say that Nigerians spend too much time in church considering all the issues that the need to confront people get angry with me.

All the prayer that Nigerians do what has it done for them?

I would have some respect for the churches if they organized the people into units that could resolve problems, sadly they do not.
Why restrict it to church? So others too don't spend time in their various places of worship? Even witches have their prayers meetings on daily basis no wonder they were so confident of GEJ winning.

This company that constantly have close to 60% Field margins and yet can't afford to pay his workers well.
Baker Hughes is 3rd biggest oil service company in the world but the undisputed 1st in Nigeria from market share index.
No reason but excuses for negligenting of employees.
40% of profit made in Nigeria compulsory by law to be spent or invested in Nigeria and for Nigerians are not adhere to.
Alots of financial misappropriation is really happening and should be unearthed ASAP.
EFCC should please investigate the company from 2012 to date. 2012 Baker Hughes Nigeria made the biggest revenue world wide and absurd Field margins (~65%). It is criminal to have field margins above 35%; simply means employees were enslaved (poor working conditions ).

It is this your mentality, reason why Indians will happily and confidently come to Naija to enslave your family. Where as such can't see the light of day in small countries like Equatorial Guinea.

Best comment I have seen here in ages, am with you bro/sis. By the way have you seen the documentary titled Hidden colors. If only all blacks in general know their history , then we will be the dominant race. If all African leaders unite , the rest of the world will be afraid, have you notice that any countries that rise up against the G7 gets blacklisted,Zimbabwe, Libya, they don't like any country that opposes them. Why do you think they killed Ghadaffi, was there any WMD in his country or was ISIS or taliban operating from there.... NO, he had a plan to setup a banking structure for African countries so IMF will no longer be the loan shark, but they quickly sorted him out before it could happen. Blacks must unite, when the white man come s to me and I say am selling for N500 , if he goes to Ghana and he gets the same price, or any other African country and he gets the same price equivalent to their currency then we have the power to dictate, if they do t want, let them go produce the resources themselves.. Have you ever wondered why oil prices all of a sudden crashed, because we could demand how much we want per barrel, and they didn't like that so they crashed it and started breaking their rocks to get shale oil, which is not as good as crude. What Africans need to do, adopt Chinese strategy, build your own, expand it and then sell it.
The problem is we don't have self worth and too dependent on bature to help us
