Webometrics ranking shouldn't be taken seriously.

My undergraduate school has provisions for both students and lecturers to publish in US journals.even as a student,I had my own co-authored published work and so had many of my coursemates.

Unfortunately webometrics dont rank many US journals..
Infact,try Googling for U.S. Journals.they're very hard to find, except you use a school Wi-Fi or digital library with access to them.

Indeed, this is the legacy of Prof. Bartho Okolo's led administration who insisted that academic staff of the University must publish in the Thomson Reuter's indexed journals as basis for promotion. Though he met stiff resistence by the staff who protested and vilified him, nevertheless, he remained resolute in this onerous task knowing fully well that one day, the University will be recognized as one of the best in terms of research. Today, his efforts has yielded fruit and am happy to associate with this great feat. Though he has since left the institution last two years having completed his tenure, his legacy live with us. Congratulation Prof. Bartho Okolo! You are still the best. Nigeria needs a leader like you.

UNN doesn't make noise in her effort to greatness, a visit to the school currently will reveal to you how far the school is going...

when ever school ranking is not done in Lagos or Abuja, UNN, Unizik and Uniport are always dominating. Even our ojoro tribal ranking is based on webometrics but dey will always put theirs in front.

Who doesn't know that UNN is the best school in Nigeria. Proudly a super lion. We set the pace, others follow.
