Nigeria To Begin Another Civil War To Resist Breakaway ND Republic by DamiBukola: 6:57am On Jul 30, 2016
PARIS, JUNE 12, 2016: (DGW) Reports reaching us from highly reliable sources and Nigeria's seat of power have it that plans
have been concluded by the Federal Government to declare a full-blown war on the Niger Delta as the militants particularly the
Niger Delta Avengers have stated their conditions for a ceasefire which the government says is impossible to meet, a
presidency insider revealed to DailyGlobeWatch on condition of anonymity.
The militants under the aegis of Niger Delta Avengers have insisted on seceding from Nigeria because of what it described as
a grave injustice committed by the Nigerian Government against the people of the region since oil exploration and extraction
activities began in the region decades ago.
They have complained that while the proceeds emanating from the wealth beneath their land is siphoned daily to create wealth
and affluence for people in other parts of Nigeria the people of the region live in abject poverty resulting from neglect and huge
damage to the region's eco-system.
Among the conditions reportedly given for a cease-fire is the immediate release from detention of the ex-National Security
Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd.) , Nnamdi Kanu, the Director of Radio Biafra and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra,
(IPOB) and corruption charges dropped against some indicted public office holders.
The Federal Government in an emergency meeting held in the State House, Abuja as the 2-week ceasefire draws near, after
sitting to review the conditions cast their conditions overboard and resolved to declare a full-blown war on the region and
consequently crush any dissenting voice with utmost brutality no matter how highly-placed.
Governors and serving ministers from the region, our source revealed, have been kept in the dark of this decision to declare a
full-scale war. The Nigerian Army will soon be given marching orders to commence hostilities against the militants in the region
as the Federal Government is not ready to cede any part of Nigeria to any group under whatever guise.
This decision to go to war was reached after a series of clandestine meetings by Arewa Consultative Forum, (ACF) and other
eminent northern Nigerians which it relayed to the Federal Government.
A reconnaissance mission, according to our source, is to begin in the next few days as soon as the president returns to the
country.
The Nigerian Army, our source further revealed, is only waiting for the two-week ceasefire declared by the Federal Government
to expire before full hostilities is declared to crush the militants.
But the Militants are calling the Federal Government a bluff as they have earlier called the world powers' attention to the
problem in the region.
A highly reliable source also confirmed that the militants are being backed by foreign powers who have vowed to back them in
the event of full-blown hostilities until a sovereign state of Niger Delta is actualized.

Operation Crocodile Smile is not a civil war, but clean up 'practice' drill in the Niger Delta. All the scAvengers, militants, cultists and other terrorists need to be mopped up effectively.

This government cannot be blackmailed.

@quotasystem, if the FG go brutal it may have a payback on the economy but what is so hard by bringing in the Intl community, IOCs and the FG together to discuss. Hope it is not an indictment on the FG of their insincerity.

Yeah I eventually indicated it was a 'practice' drill in my post.

Massive movement of equipment and boots to Enugu is presently ongoing, so the 'drill' bit appears to be a way of keeping feathers unruffled while arms, men and equipment are being moved Eastwards.

Just course? You can tell that to the soldiers...The days of free money for the likes of tompolo and dokubo are gone(they fed fat during their brother's era). All these NDA are tompolo wannabe but they forgot power has changed hands. We are no longer in the era of Yaradua or GEJ. GMB would deal with them just like OBJ did some years ago. Most of you were in primary school back then. Ol soldier never dies.

Stop using dialogue/discuss.. It's a misnomer....

Discuss what exactly? There is no discussion channel, it's open season blackmail using the innocent people's plights as front for criminal activities and cover for fraudulent practice...

These people already baited the government, unfortunately their line has reeled in a baby whale that will only tip them and their speedboat into the waters (pun intended)

The average Oyin, Tari, Fyneface, Boma have the support of the people, but the destructive elements making ludicrous demands do not.....

P.S ... The economy has been hit already, no threat..

Nobody feeds me mate. If you speak of oil in the Delta legally owned, explored and administered by the Nigerian state, then yeah the oil is the mainstay of the economy and proceeds from its sale are allocated to all states including ND states.

Don't confuse or unknowingly fool yourself. This government cannot be blackmailed with violence.

I just think there is something terribly wrong with Nigeria's military.
Is that not the same military led by a former military head of state that gave bakassi peninsular away with out a single gun shot.
The biggest problem of Nigeria is what I call national hypocrisy.
The Nigerian Army will soon be given marching orders to commence hostilities against the militants in the region

I just hope this people will not go about troubling Britain, Russia and Egypt by the time Niger delta starts teaching them a bitter lesson.
One can remember vividly how after boasting of crushing biafra in 48 hours the same military led by northerners lost more than 3 divisions of the army and had to resort to using starvation of women and children who are considered innocent and to be protected to end the war.

The United Nations classified starvation as a war crime
Starvation ‘as a weapon’ is a war crime, UN chief warns parties to conflict in Syria

http://www.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=53003#.V5xUMntwbMI

14 January 2016 – With United Nations humanitarian teams witnessing scenes in Syria that “haunt the soul,” Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today said the situation is “utterly unconscionable,” and warned that the use of starvation as a weapon during conflict is a war crime.

“Perhaps nothing more urgently reflects the need to act than the harrowing scenes from Madaya,” Mr. Ban told reporters at a press conference in New York following remarks to the UN General Assembly highlighting his 2016 priorities.

For months, the Syrian town has been besieged by parties to the conflict – a war soon entering its sixth year. UN relief teams and their partners have only recently been granted access by the Government to deliver much needed food and medical aid to thousands of people trapped inside besieged towns like Madaya.

“Shocking depths of inhumanity” were the words used by the UN chief today to describe the situation there. Relief staff who have entered Madaya reported seeing “the elderly and children, men and women, who were little more than skin and bones: gaunt, severely malnourished, so weak they could barely walk, and utterly desperate for the slightest morsel.”

The Secretary-General said there can be no denying their suffering: “Many hundreds of people are in such a dire state that they require immediate medical attention, including through possible evacuation,” he stressed.

“We are working to get medical teams and mobile clinics on the ground right away. I want to make a special plea for those in besieged areas of Syria. I would say they are being held hostage – but it is even worse. Hostages get fed.”

He noted that it has never been easy for the United Nations and its partners to reach those in such desperate need, but the situation is getting worse.

“Today, almost 400,000 people are besieged in Syria – roughly half in areas controlled by Da'esh [another term for the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, or ISIL, and its affiliates], 180,000 in areas controlled by the Syrian Government and its allies, and some 12,000 in areas controlled by opposition armed groups,” he informed reporters.

In 2014, the UN and partners were reportedly able to deliver food to about five per cent of people in besieged areas, while today, estimates show the Organization is reaching less than one per cent.

“This is utterly unconscionable,” Mr. Ban stated. “Let me be clear: the use of starvation as a weapon of war is a war crime.”

He said all sides – including the Syrian Government – are committing this and other “atrocious acts” prohibited under international humanitarian law.

“States, in the region and beyond, that can make a difference must press the parties for sustained and unimpeded humanitarian access throughout Syria,” he urged, noting this means members of the International Syria Support Group specifically, which is comprised of the League of Arab States, the European Union, the UN, and 17 countries.

Furthermore, he said other urgent measures are needed – such as the immediate end to the use of indiscriminate weapons in civilian areas, including through shelling and air strikes by any of the parties involved militarily in Syria.

“No cause can justify the toll in civilian lives and destroyed schools, clinics and markets that we continue to register around the country every day,” he insisted.

Finally, he recalled that his Special Envoy, Staffan de Mistura, will continue to work towards convening intra-Syrian Geneva Talks on 25 January.

What I am saying is that it is wrong and morally very wrong for the same military that has never engaged in any external war even engaging insupporting another country clandestinely ,to initiate a war and when they start loosing military men in large quantities now resort to starvation of women and children. Let the military not start what they cannot finish.
They rather ask other professional militaries how things are done, than waste innocent lives of non combatants all in the frenzy of keeping nigeria one.
