It doesn't exist. Pure fan-boy enthusiasm.

I noticed the little clip at the end, does it mean these people legit can't identify Nigerian troops ?

I was shocked when I saw it.

To be honest, i really don't think some of the guys working on these P.R videos do. It's unfortunate really.

Watching the Army general talking about the pick-up trucks, Block B vehicles on and on wasn't pleasant. They don't seem to have woken up from their "Toyota Honeymoon".

Again, what's with Nigerian subordinates and "kissing a$s". We seem not to no when to stop hyping our bosses and talk about the actual operations.

Well, apart from that scene, the whole video was very impressive. Isn't this what we have been asking the N.A to produce all these years?
Any hope of getting the Youtube links?

Great effort from the army, but we can do a lot, a whole lot better. Although i didn't get to watch from the beginning, Jake's post alerted me. I only saw 10 minutes of the entire 30 minutes footage.

I'm sure NTA would share it on Youtube, Oga Fynline can attest.

I'll have to wait to see the entire clip. Apart from the Gatlin gun, did the N.A show any other new hardware?

The Gatling was the only new thing I spotted although I didn't start from the beginning so it's possible I missed something.

BMP-3's performance in Yemen has been p1ss-poor. Paper thin armor, and troops have to exit by crouching, climbing over the engine and off the roof - exposing themselves to fire and slowing them down.

There are better options. Pic very much related.

Middle eastern countries have proven incapable of handling any equipment they have in any fashion resembling professional, especially Saudi Arabia. If you are going to use their performance to judge the platform then i guess the M1A2's are complete shit. Saudi Arabia has managed to make every weapons system in their inventory look shit due to inexperience and lack of any proper strategy. The BMP3 doesn't have paper thin Armour, sure its not as armored as some other IFV's out there but that is by design. The Soviet doctrine was different from the west and that manifest's itself in the BMP-3, it is better armored than its predecessors but its essentially a heavily armed nimble machine that you can throw around. Much faster than most IFV's and rather light, and ofcourse their is the added bonus of it being relatively cheap.

Not necessarily.

UAE forces fought well besides a few ambushes losing a few MRAPS.

You didn't see the Leclerc, G6 or their IFV getting knocked out like the Saudis.

As a platform, i think it requires additional testing. Aesthetically, it looks great and a 30mm would be more than adequate (I know what you said in your reply).

However, I'll stick with the Mbombe 6 (thanks), seems like a more reliable system at this point.
Too light for conventional and semi-conventional warfare.

The RG-41 seems better. It can absorb or take some punishment technicals might throw at it similar to the Badger.

Officer injured in IED attack in Lamu/

An Administration police officer and the operator of a National Youth Service excavator were injured in Lamu County after they were attacked by suspected Al-Shabaab members.

According to Lamu County Commissioner Joseph Kanyiri, a home-made bomb exploded injuring the officers on Usalama Road, where a wall is being built to separate the county from neighbouring Somalia.

The 9am attack happened just 600 metres from Usalama camp in Kiunga Division.

“We suspect those who planted the [home-made bomb] are Al-Shabaab militants but so far all is well since security has been beefed up in the area. The injured have also been evacuated to Nairobi for treatment. I call on residents to be vigilant and calm,” said Mr Kanyiri.

Police sources on the ground who talked to the Nation said the AP officer sustained multiple fractures in both legs and that the excavator operator escaped with minor injuries.

The hurt officer was providing security for the National Youth Service worker.

-Nigerian MI-24V Attack Helicopter

- Nigerian Pilots, I don't think i've seen a Nigerian pilot that is above 40 years of age. NAF pilots should rank as some of the youngest in the world.

The documentary was produced by Afprohand Ltd..so I doubt that the NTA Youtube channel will have it.

The Jihadists were just dragging the bodies of the dead pilots on the ground. I mean the high level of barbarism in Syria is beyond astonishing.

President-S didn't work apparently.

Mbombe 6.

Hence i said it's armour can be upgraded. We have been experimenting with Dyneema, here in Nigeria. Dyneema is able to stop AA rounds. There's also the option of using ceramic armour when it's available.

We have mostly engaged non-state actors in the past 30 years, engagements for the foreseeable future would continue with this trend. For state actors, we've both defeated Chad and Cameroun.
