the oga at the top in canada probably recieves thousands of email daily from india and china too. Not to mention the thousands of petitions from other categories of visas. i doubt if he has time to read them all. He would have a secretary that helps filters emails though and there is no harm in trying.

My brother i cant but agree with you 100percent......I often wonder, is the streets of Canada laid with gold and silver,, are the trees filled with money?...I doubt that, cos its only in heaven that the streets are made of gold...
So what would make a commonwealth country treat her fellow commonwealth country with such disdain for her citizens?..Is India or the other Asian countries better than us??Why are they treating us with such indignity??
travy:
The day I applied for the visa, the processing time was 10 weeks, it's now 15 weeks, probably they think it's easy to move to another country within 1 week and settle down. I literally paused my life for months but I canceled my Canadian visa application and requested a refund a week ago. I got my U.S. visa approved on Monday.

I'm divergent in nature and I also have to protect my dignity. I will not pay processing fee just to be subjected to this biased and inhumane treatment. I have many things to say but one of the many things I find appalling is that they provide status update to many other countries within days or few weeks but keep us waiting forever as if we don't have any reasonable thing to do with our lives, yet we keep paying for this gullible treatment.

If you think all they are just doing is scrutinize application, you are wrong. Their main objective is to apply what is called Social Engineering, they are applying social and human control into the approval or denial process, that's why you will see some applicant who waited 20 weeks get denied with silly reasons like "Purpose of visit".

They need to treat all applicant with respect and dignity. I support those that have also contacted the Canadian immigration minister, I have also bitterly and constructively gave them a piece of my mind. Let's all speak up when we see injustice, by doing that, we are helping future applicants.

Good luck everyone.

Oga, I believe most peeps here are spiritual people. It is glaring that the CIC process is generally inconsistent for us Nigerians and it is now far from being a case by case issue. What is not ideal, is not ideal. CIC is not being fair and just here.
CIC has always had problems with backlogs and wait times. patience is the key. And alot of times, they dont use first in first out. The usual response they give is that all applications are unique and treated on their own merit. just keep praying.

@collykay,check Memorial university of newfoundland, My cousin studied biochemistry too & her CGPA on the last 60 credits was 3.12(not even up to your own) and she got admitted into MUN.
collykay:
@ miChv

Addition of (Course unit X grade obtained) divided by total unit for that level.

E.g BCH 301 3 unit A.
BCH 302 2 unit B
BCH 303 3 unit A
CGPA : (3x5) + (2x4) + (3x5)
: answer / (3+2+3)
A rep 5, B rep 4, C rep 3, D rep 2, E rep 1 and F rep 0.

Dis d method I used 2 evaluate mine. I hope it"s helpful

Thanks for the detailed information Travy.

And to all the successful applicants.. Congratulations!
To those of us whose mileage has grown as still growing.. May God answer our prayers before resumption date. Amen.

I think it's in line to send mails if we have to and also apply some form of diplomacy but hammer on their unbearable delays.

I have written to the minister and will contact cic soon as well.

michV, Arcayo, yemdogg and the rest of the team, we need you to continue with your good work of assisting with information as you have been doing.

God help us all.

Hello I want to make enquires about masters degree or PGD programme in any University or college in cananda, I graduated with a third class degree and I wrote GRE exam last week and I score 289 ,I want to know the school that will accept me for masters degree in agricultural economics or MBA. Thanks
SegunWamiri:

Hi, I'm sorry to say that it's not likely you'll get the TRV. Firstly, you want to do a Diploma having possessed a Bahelors'degree which is higher. Secondly, General Studies seem too General... Lolz...that you have to convince VO that there's no school or other professional courses in Nigeria that can give you the same set of skills you are seeking to acquire.

Most of all, if you decide to still give it a shot, apply with a PGC or PGD instead but don't ever mention that you'll be switching to nursing ooo. That would be too much of inconsistency.

Many thanks.

I thank God for everybody here. I've been a silent reader though l found it difficult to use this platform at the earlier stage.

Praise God on my son's behalf.

I applied for study permit for him UG in St Marys University Halifax. Having been denied five times. US visa with schorlahip. I want to thank God today that his application was approved to study in Canada though without scholarship.

I pray that as many who still trust in Him will never be put to shame.

Praise God.

Congrats to all those who got their approval. All hope is not lost to those of us that are still awaiting our TRV.

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful (Heb 10:23).
