Olargee:I get what you mean..but the question remains what can you do about all that? NOTHING. me,im more of an action minded person..frustration is easy to feel and it's ur right but instead of dwelling on that I analyse situation circumstances and move on to my plan B. it's life and it's never fair. |

Mikymiko: Bro, stop being selfish. Pgd applicants wait for more than 17 weeks without knowing their fate as against Masters applicants that gets their applications approved in less than 8 weeks. Is that unfair to you? His email was precise and concise. 3 Likes |

michV:my bro, I got admitted by university of Regina into an Meng program. My GPA is just 3.58. I applied to UBC too but I never get response from them because I applied for Msc and I didn't secure a supervisor, they even sent me a mail last week that if I'm interested in masters in engineering leadership that I should just let them know so that I will be considered for Jan 2017 intake. Before I got my admission, I filled the university of Saskatchewan pre-admission form and they also sent me a mail last week that I'm qualified to officially apply. During my search for admission. I sent my transcript to the program cordinators of my intending programs asking them if I met the admission requirement for masters. Some were +ve while some were -ve....I studied Chem like you and I can tell you that you are super qualified for meng admission. When I was waiting for my admission, I got scared and applied to six German schools because I thought they are gonna admit me freely since I made 2.1 and I have seen a third class grad got admitted for a masters degree..Unfortunately I was rejected by all six schools, lol. But before then my Canada admission don land. So my guy, in my opinion you just need to try, final GPA is not the only thing they consider, for instance you can get Msc admission with a 2.2 degree if your last two years is very okay. Queens university told me that although they have 70% as their minimum requirement, that I'm free to apply because I did very well in some individual courses that are related to their core research area. So no two cases are the same, you just have to try and hope for the best. Good luck bro. 9 Likes |

Hello fam. I was going to apply for Bachelor of Petroleum Tech at SAIT, but the tuition turned me to Usain Bolt. However, I will be starting my MS in Power Eng in Germany, tuition-free, come October. I feel this is a smarter move, considering that the school is ranked top 60 globally. Ultimately, I would like to work in Canada after my study, as I have learnt that Power Engineers are highly remunerated in CA. What are the possibilities of securing employment with a Canadian firm from outside Canada? I am considering doing internship with a Canadian firm while studying. Are they known to give full-time employment to foreign-institution students who do internship with them, after their study? 1 Like |
