Wingback:

Depay is 22, he can still get it right, he has a lovely longshot and good dribbling...He can't trap the ball or Schneiderlin and Herrera kept giving him useless balls?

I still believe in his potential
The talent is their no doubt.
But it takes more than talent, one have to be discipline hungry focused, depay lack these qualities.

United for ever!
Last season we would have lost or drawn this game confronted by hoard's of Hull City defenders.
Thanks to our new signings and the teams never give up mentality, installed by José Mourinho we got the three points at stake. Cheers all round to our team. Hull City set up layers and layers of defenders but we finally got through in Jose time.
I believe we will do something this season.
Glory,glory Man United.
O am starting to believe again....

Herrera has been itching to get in, he would finally get his chance. Lol!

If Mourinho loves himself, he should better pick Carrick over that dolt...

He's a defensive box-box CM

Stop Chatting this box-box thingy oga - kante offers virtually nothing from an attacking POV. He is a hard-working, ball winning DM/CM who is also comfortable with the ball at his feet.

Diademk07:

although he looks capable of contributing in the attacks like those offensive box-box CM out there. For example, he didn't look out of place as an offensive box-box for Caen or for Leicester in some games, e.g. The City match.

Let's look at his stats, shall we...

2013/14 season at Caen (41 games)

3 goals
0 assists

14/15 Season at Caen (38games)

3 goals
5 assists

15/16 Season at leicester (40 games)

1 goal
4 Assists

This same fella has often been compared to Makelele and even sees Lasana Diarra as a role model, yet you continually bandy the box-box nonsense upandan.

You obviously don't know anything about the functions & qualities of box-box midfielders

Like seriously bro this Blind is good. I just feel for Smalling. At a time we had only two key players at old Trafford, Smalling and DDG.

Blind is really good! He gets his chance and he grabs and holds on to it.

And when the players returned, did Rashford go back to the reserves?

Van gaal was the kind of coach that's nbeen looking to blood in youngsters from the start like he did with Blackett, Reece etc. It's just that they weren't good enough.

Van gaal was really looking for that quality youngster he could latched on and Rashford/CBJ provided that until CBj got injured and Rojo had to be involved again.
LvG so wanted to use our youth and yet spent the huge amount he did.

Reduce the quantity of that weed you take.

Happy to call it Fergie time

"[Sir Alex Ferguson is] such a legend in the club and I’m more than happy to say that we won in 'Fergie time'. I’m more than happy with that."

I always believed the goal would arrive
"I know when we score late people will speak about a bit of luck but the reality is we deserved it, especially in the second half. We were so dominant, so intense in our rhythm and our attacking wave and I always believed the goal would arrive."

Great credit for our opponents

"I have to say that Hull City did an amazing job and defended with everything. They couldn’t counterattack because I think we played very well defensively and every time we lost the ball we were really strong. But I think they did fantastically well, congratulations to them and if I was the chairman I would give the job immediately to Mike Phelan. In the eyes of everyone, the players are giving everything and for him. They couldn’t do more than what they did and congratulations to Mike and the Hull boys."

Rashford's special contribution

"A big smile and a big hug is enough! Marcus [Rashford] is working extremely well and both times when the team was in trouble and needed one goal. The Community Shield with the score at 1-1 and today when the score was 0-0 he came on and gave a special contribution. Everybody is speaking about him and Ibra [Zlatan Ibrahimovic] – they can play together as they showed today. I think with more work he can play coming from one of the sides but I think the kid is a striker and when we play with him and Ibra together we give different problems to the opposition. Sometimes Ibra drops back because he already likes to play with the ball at his feet and Marcus is fast and has appetite to attack the last line. We tried everything."

Fellaini had to stay on

"I was thinking about a last change with Marouane [Fellaini] coming off but I was a bit afraid with them at set-pieces. It can happen when you dominate, dominate and dominate and there can be a set-piece in the last minute and you can lose the game. Marouane is a special guy for us in our defensive work and I think everyone played well and gave everything."

The fans had that feeling

"The spirit is amazing. You only win these matches if you want to win a lot. If you are in a comfortable situation and you think a point is not bad or you think let’s see what’s going to happen, you don’t win, but the boys until the last minute believed. Of course I feel sorry for Hull but my guys deserved it and the way the fans supported them, especially in the second half, the fans had that feeling too and knew we were doing everything."

Mental side can make a difference

"We started to think about what this game could be even before the game started. We knew the way they defended. We knew that [Tom] Huddlestone would play in a line of three and we knew they would be very organised. Tactically you can change things, bring situations to the game, try to create problems for your opponent, but it’s the mental side of it that can make a difference. We speak about this all the time."

Our objective is to be champions

"Our objective is only one – to be champions. If at the end of the season we finish second, third or fourth it’s because someone is better than us, if you finish fifth or sixth it’s because we were not good enough. You have to play to win every game. If we don’t win, we don’t win, but the mentality is there and the boys are giving everything . It’s amazing when I look to my side and I see the people on the bench suffering with us and then jumping for the goal. It’s a privilege for me to work with these guys."

Bailly has been a beast so far, winning everything in the air and on the ground so far. Blind has been complimenting him so far.
Felliani has got his confidence back and Rooney gave a superb assist by getting beyond a solid Hull City defence to lay a good pass to Rashford to score a VITAL goal.
Glory,glory Man United.

The first season, he was a DM for Caen but was moved to a box-box role in the second season and also, he played as a box-box for Leicester.

And how many time does peep have to hear that he operated in a 2-man midfield for them to open their eyes? The 2-man midfield would always make his starting move come from a defensive position which means less goals and assists. He was still the assister of the assist man at Leicester. Ask Mahrez!

And for the records, he was getting the Makele comparism after his first few matches for France.

How many assists did Scholes or Keane have for us?

Some people sha!

The last time Kante operated as a box-box in 3-man midfield set up, he scored a goal for France vs Holland. He was a beast throughout that cameo too.

Rashford looks dangerous from left, right and Center forward position. He will be a hand full to any defense.

I still think Mourinho should start martial in our next few games to help get his match confidence back. We all know what he is capable of when in his element.

The ideal team now is

-- zlatan

Martial. Mikhi. Rashford

Fellini. Pogba

Shaw. Blind. Bailly. Valencia

Degea

But we all know own Rooney must play.

I think the only player that should get into the starting lineup is MhkiT. Rooney stinks the joint up but he's still useful. He has the experience and can speak well for the team to match officials. From today's game, it seems other players expected him to lose the ball in the some instances, and they were ready to cover up for him. Even Mata operated mostly from the middle, leaving Valencia to man the right side alone. Plus we can always replace Rooney in the second half.

MhkiT, Mata and Rashford are enough to win games against a side that parks the bus.

Traditional Box-box Midfielders like Gerrard and Vidal have managed goals & assists in double digits..even from a pivot bros.

The crux of the matter is that - from an Attacking POV, Kante is too limited to be considered as a box-box Midfielder. He lacks the skillset/ability to create chances and has never been a geniune threat in & around the opposition's box - the few times he decides to venture forward!

A player that is rarely seen in & around the opponents box - how can he be seen as a box-box?

Diademk07:

He was still the assister of the assist man at Leicester. Ask Mahrez!

This is one of the reasons why peeps here dont take you seriously...

Whats the meaning of this rubbish again?

Stop telling lies...

Kante Made his debut for france in 2016 and this interview took place in september 2015

Ranieri believes he can convert the £6.5m summer signing from a winger into Leicester's answer to Makelele, who he managed at Chelsea.

The Italian saw Makelele become one of the Premier League's best defensive midfielders despite starting his career out wide, where Kante, 24, played for Leicester at Stoke last weekend.

"I think Kanté can achieve this position. He is a good midfielder, a very good midfielder.

"He is quiet but he can improve a lot because he can play as a central midfielder like when I had Makelele.
"Sometimes I put him in wide positions just because I want him on the pitch."

That was how you were arguing blindly about the Diamond formation that day when it was so obvious you knew nothing about its modalities.

Really looking forward to our games against top teams. Though just like when Sir was around we only needed to beat the smaller teams to win the league I really hope we can impose ourselves in the matches against top teams.
Meanwhile am loving the team spirit at the theatre of dreams again.
