adekanbai: I wonder o. I now see the thieves have a lot of paid agents in NL. Unfortunately, Baba will never accept those terms of their negotiation no matter the loudness of wailing. The guys are fighting hard to bring down the economy then turn round to blame the government. I think they are assuming everyone is as dump as they are. People are seeing clearly the enemy of the state. Even if they keep bombing and wailing at the same time, till 2019, PDP cannot carry the day. Things can remain tough, but Nigerians will remain resolute and come out stronger and glorious, We will not return to the days of the locust on account of blackmail. The battle between progressive and vampires is long drawn. We will maintain vigilance. |

Many Nigerians have little knowledge on why the economy dipped. The inability of the previous governments to diversify the economy ,to save in time of plenty ,gross looting of public funds were some of the key reasons why we are here and it will continue if we fail to correct these. 2 Likes 1 Share |

In as much as I agree, with very very few of the reasons he listed. I think most of the reasons are bold steps which no sitting President has ever dared to take. The fact is under Jonathan and the PDP corruption thrived and most of these international and local firms where making profit and having a sway day. I would have loved if the OP suggested a way forward after listing all what he posted. The fact is whether Jonathan or no Jonathan whether PDP or APC this period was bound to come. 1 Like |

XXCASH:Nigeria is blessed with untapped resources, yes........ but do you think reviving those sectors is something that happens in 8 - 9 months? It's takes years and billions of dollars to maximize their full potentials in order to replace the revenue lost from oil production. Let the reality of the Nigerian situation sink in and go get ready for what more is to come...... rather than complaining. Nobody elected will perform magic without funds. 1 Like |

berrystunn: That University Project was a means to siphon billions of naira and they succeeded. The amount of money spent there was enough to produce a top quality University. Unfortunately, people blinded by bigotry will prefer thieves to run away with Billions than getting a top quality University in the region. The FG cancelled the government to recover stolen funds and develop a befitting Maritime University. |

Nigeria! I hail una. if crude oil is sold at 10$ each oil producing state will make their killing, there are too many applications for crude oil. fall in price alone can not drive d country into recession. Now, how much are they buying refined products and reselling to Nigerians? Buhari is spending billions searching for oil in d north according to a previous post, now, instead of searching, is it too much to diversify? build farms in each state in collaboration with the state, according to the crops and animals that thrive best in the state. make very sure the refineries are at their best performance, the truth is, unguarded comments and unnecessary change of protocols and economic policies in the name of change brought this. In matters that affect the livelihood and wellbeing of a man, he's never scammed twice. the previous government was corrupt, but most of the corrupt people in that govt brought the song of change to Nigerians and we bought it. Is it not time we realise that we don't need a known name or a figure head to lead? we youths are the leaders of tmrw like they always told us, but we've been ruled by the same set of men for about 30yrs, so where is d change coming from? if we want change, let our lawmakers swear with sango, ogun, amadioha. Nigerian youth awake from your slumber. don't forget, recession or not, it doesn't have any effect on our leaders, they're traveling round the world, and their kids still don't school in the country, only the masses feel the pain. 1 Like |

odigiri1983: Unfortunately, people with low IQ like the OP when it comes to areas like this will keep getting endorsed by clowns in the same levl of thinking as they are or just for mere hatred for Buhari which have been openly exhibitted even b4 Buhari won the elections. Imagine listing TSA, Canceling of Maritime university and Pipeline security to terrorists, he even said option of "violence" instead of dialogue. The post is all saddled with ignorance, and self deceit. Is he trying to tell us government should be the back bones of banks?? I even wonder how TSA affected the economy. The whole post just lacks basic economic intelligence..i blame the mod who pushed such crap to FP 1 Like |

I don't know if I'm a zombie or wailer. I dey binu for Buhari too but my temper against Jonathan na 1000 degrees. Please, is TSA also responsible for the massive job losses in the oil and gas industry? Anyway, from my little observation, oil and gas workers are mostly zombies while bankers are mostly wailers. Wailers are "technically happy" that GEJ is not the one in charge. We were discussing yesterday and all the points highlighted by the op were mentioned. However, one of them was quick to remark that "if na GEJ dey power, mehn for don carry bamboo enter Abuja go wipe am die" |

Nigeria deserves the kind of leaders it gets. Jonathan was a disappointment, Buhari wasn't the right person but more preferable. The question is, where are our best brains? Does it mean our system does not permit their rise to such position? Until the youths rise up to the situation, the tomorrow promised the youth will never come. Enough of this aged recycling 1 Like 1 Share |
