It is very pathetic that tribal and religious affiliation has really wrecked havoc on Nigeria and so,the eyes of our understanding are blur or totally blind.how long will a Yoruba man be against an Ijaw man or Ibo man? why do we hate our selves so much? why do we deliberately refuse to see reasons even in reasoning? how will you feel if your dad is treated that way and eventually pass away? I perceive, it is normal because he is Tompolos father.why have we southerners betrayed ourselves to the extend we are like a tool in the hands of the Northerner's.when False was kidnapped, we all voiced our displeasure even as an Ijawman.then what stops a Yoruba man,a neighbor and brother in Ondo state, supporting the Ijaws in condemning this act of brutality and murder? it is a pity, this hatred has gone generational.

Mister Man, I have no time to exchange words with any anti-Fulani comment.

His case is between him and the state and not Fulani irrespective of the tribe of the President. The exNimassa DG that presented himself for trial is also Ijaw and not a fool. At least non of his family members were exposed to the brutality and humiliation of the unprofessional Army.

BTW I never asked you(or anyone) to rate my level of intelligence.

Cheers bro

Bro, I think you got this one wrong!
Where's is the exNimassa DG now?
It is on record that our institutions are so unprofessional in their quest for criminals(If Tompolo is/was one)
Arresting and brutalizing a 82yrs old man for the alleged crimes of his son was so wrong.
You may not like Tompolo, and his actions to avoid EFCC invitation wasn't a good one as well;
But the actions of our security forces must be put in check to avoid this kind of ugly incidents.
Cheers

He died of old age and nothing more. If Tompolo has the liver, let him come out and Bury I'm papa. Ordinary Coward like Ojukwu.
You talk as if you own Nigeria more than others and even taken it too personal. If Tompolo was from your region, you wouldn't have been this raw. Mind your utterances because people are watching and reading your comments as well. A candid advice!

I hope this report of torture is not true. And if true, I say may God grant those he left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.

Tompolo the fugitive should understand that he cannot remain a fugitive forever. He has made his case worse by hiding away.

Those who were Ogbonge fugitives the world had ever known eventually got caught and brought to justice. Tompolo's case won't be different.
Are you alright at all? So this is all you can say about the torture allegation? Mehn sometimes I wonder the kind of people behind some monikers here. You seriously need rehabilitation

Where is Akpobolokemi? is he dead? Is he tortured? Is he not facing trial?

I don't think any sane man would justify the torture of the man, neither do Tonye. What I am saying is that we all know that the Army is unprofessional on things like this, is it not best we avoid them? That would save a lot instead of endangering our loved ones.

If I was his family member, I will file petition or even lawsuit over this torture as alleged

Over time,i've noticed you're intelligent but then, you lack wisdom. Why should he surrender? He should surrender like buhari's enemy in the person of dasuki? How many fulani murderers have surrendered? A classic case of the north intimidating the south with support from educated southerners. The fulanis are not educated than you are, yet they rule over you, doesn't that go to show we southerners are indeed foools. Do you think if tompolo was a fulani man, and he acquired wealth via govt contracts and he supported buhari's elections,he'd be disturbed by the military?
A classic example of divide and rule, even the sophisticated ones as they claim, fall for it hook, line and sinker.
thank you southerners are fools, education exposed my foot with all your exposure a high ranking Us official came to visit the so called uneducated, in short any stupid southerner coming to talk crap yoruba. Igbo ijaws sef una be disgrace

Here you are! Of course no one expects the FG to act swiftly on any petition over the torture of Pa Tompolo BUT the NHRC will investigate it and it may take international dimension. That is the point just like what is happening to Shiite Zackzacky.

I wholeheartedly Condemn the manhandling of late pa Tompolo but I will always insist that Tompolo present himself so as not to bring his loved ones in contact with the unprofessional Nigeria security men. I am sure the ExNIMASSA guy and Boro weren't foolish.

Once again his alleged offence bothers on corruption which is bailable not treason or terrorism.

Tony, don't know what you've got with tompolo...won't like to know too..
But you're biased..
You think buhari for leave tompolo if say he enter efcc?
My man think am..to buhari tompolo na security threat just like dasuki..shebi na so dasuki take enter..
Today ayiri don the front himself..dining with d same government, dealing and representing interests in the business.
Ot don't you know who control the delta bayelsa water ways now..its all about interest, crude and bunkering..
Tompolo's crime is that he simply refused to play ball..that's it..forget government propaganda. There lots of issues..but is a public forum..and the government is not friendly

I'm not interested in Ayiri Vs Tompolo issue,. Both of them were Padis when Jonathan was in power. Their matter no concern Tonye or Ijaw nation. When them de share their billions from pipeline surveillance contract them no call me, so I'm not interested in their matter.

However, I'm more concerned about Tompolo and his family. He should first surrender to the government and hire good lawyer (s). His case isn't like ATM Dasuki

Where is the evidence he was manhandled? You see oga u weren't there, it might have been a simple shove that caused it...he's 84.

This is why we pray for better pikin... tompolo has indirectly killed his father.

The NA directly killed him, but tompolo had a hand in it.

Back then some guys kidnapped someone, the first one was caught then led police to others one of em got wind and ran away...police arrested his mum n dad, mum had high BP thanks to diabetes ...she died that day... who killed her? Only police??

Others are referencing BH in borno...have they forgotten the amnesty report? Where scores of youths were arbitrarily imprisoned?

Must religion and ethnicity enter everything?
Blame NA not ethnicity

Tompolo I sympathise with your family and the people of Gbaramatu kingdom over the painful loss of your beloved father.

However, if you had surrendered earlier, your father wouldn't have been arrested, brutalized or amputated. Perhaps you would be under trial with some privileges as a citizen. Perhaps you would have been a free man on bail as allegations against you bothers on corruption(not treason) which is a bailable offence.

You would have learnt from Major Isaac Adaka Boro, who had to surrender to the Military Police(During the 12 Days Revolution in February 1966) after the arrest of his father and those of his comrades. He was imprisoned, convicted to death but as God would have it, he was later conscripted into the army along with his boys and given the rank of a Major, and celebrated by the same country that put him on death row. It is not too late

The point is allow posterity be the judge. The Nigeria Army is not professional nor do they understand the rules of engagement. We should not do what will invite them to our household or our land.

However, if the news of torture is true, then Tompolo's Family should lay formal complain before the NHRC, The Army and the Presidency.

RIP to the late High Chief

Dont forget that Gowon put him on the frontlines to die. The same should be done for these men
