Let's start from Jesus' Name: His Name is Emmanuel, and it means "GOD with us". You get it? GOD Himself with us.

Jn. 1:1 says Jesus Christ is GOD.

Jesus then proclaims: "I and My Father are One." (Jn. 10:30)

In Isa. 9:6 names like "Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty GOD, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" which pertain only to GOD are applied to Jesus.

In Jn. 14:15, Jesus claims GOD's commandments as His own. That can only mean He is GOD.

It may seem as if the Bible is contradictory in Jn. 17:3 when Jesus calls His Father the only true GOD. However, the "contradiction" disappears when one considers that Jesus says "I and My Father are One."

Common reason also demands that if Jesus is not the true GOD, then He is a false god. But we know that GOD does not recognise false gods. GOD even called Jesus GOD (Heb. 1:8 )

I'm very sure Daniel never posed as GOD, or demanded worship. Nebuchadnezzar fell before Daniel in awe and wonder. Daniel explained to him that the source of the interpretation he gave was GOD. Daniel made it clear beyond doubt that GOD is the source of all He knows and was going to say. So, Nebuchadnezzar worshipping Daniel means he acknowledged the Spirit in Daniel.

People worshipped and even tried to sacrifice to Paul and Barnabas at Lystra, but they prevented the people. They pointed to GOD, who alone deserves worship.

Daniel did not claim the worship that belongs to GOD. And Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged GOD. He even knew that it was GOD who gave the interpretation to Daniel. So, even Nebuchadnezzar knew who worship belongs to. Read Daniel 3:28-29.

Jesus did not die the death that is natural to man. He just laid down/gave up His life as a sacrifice for sin. He said he was the one that laid it down. Read Jn. 10:18.

But as GOD, Jesus could not die. That is the reason why He took upon Himself the nature of man. Read Phil. 2:5-8. There you will see that Jesus is equal to GOD.

Death had no power over Jesus, because He was GOD. He was the One who subjected Himself to death as a sacrifice for sin.
