APC promised to create jobs...

but in reality, people are loosing their jobs everyday.

businesses are folding up....

Jobs will continue to be lost in the service industry and thats fine by me. How can you have a vibrant service sector without a real sector? Banking is a large scam. Who do they lend to? Better we shrink that sector and let value added industries soak up the human capital.

The banks don't need government. They need to do real banking, support small scale industries with cheap loans.

They had free government money for years and rather than help small scale industries, they were using the money to buy government bonds hence the large profits they were earning.

It's time for them to work for there money.

No wonder ...I was surprised when they gave me a sheet of paper with the bank manager signature as a deposit slip at UBA bank yesterday.

the banks need to restrategise.

at this point, they need to be directly involved in the running of businesses by not only providing financing, but by also taking an active part in running the business thereby making it a business arm.

banks can have direct investments in farms, transport & other areas.

Wtf Now I agree with pundits that said that we are still in the "morning" phase of the reccession cum suffering!! Depressing news keeps making headlines like tommorrow no dey!!! I am bewildered that despite the alarming rate/level of unemployment ab initio, the few that are gainfully employed are being sacked at the drop of a hat!!! I think apocalypse, armaggedon and hell is about to be unleashed on Nigeria!! With each passing day, I keep wondering if I'm not making a mistake in staying put instead of heading for the US while at the same time feeling trapped & waiting for an impeding doom. God help me!!!!!

So our banks are fake

Government money is the reason they are in business

Good to know.

When there is a recession, the propensity to save is low. Not government money but when there is no money, who deposits into the bank?

Self employment is calling.

White collar jobs is no longer the answer.

on the contrary.

That's when most money goes to the banks because government try as hard as possible to reduce the money in the system by curbing spending..

The banks should have taken the customers more seriously But instead relied on government money.
Now that TSA put an end to that, they run out of ideas but only option is to lay workers of to cut spending.

normally, FCMB doesn't give out deposit slip freely like other banks. You have to pay for it if the one issued at the time of opening account finishes.

Why won't these three banks close branches down when there are no more slush monies to do business. Tell me GTBank, First Bank, UBA and others who don't SOLELY rely on laundered monies would close down branches.

These banks managements have been fingered and troubled by the EFCC for the past one year.

This recession is going to open many people's dirty yansh, if you think I'm joking, ask Emeka Offor, Sola Ayeni and other PDP made overnight billionaires
na your type dey advice people to start trekking because it is an exercise rather than driving cars if apc increased fuel cost to 800/litre all in the name of supporting APC.
