Electricity is cheap. People don't use generators. Think of the money spent by Nigerians in buying generators, fuels, etc. What could people be doing with such money? Developing themselves. Think of the noise and smoke from generators...think of the lives lost to generator fumes. Kenyans don't experience these

Come to think of it.. if Kenya is as bad as some Nigerian bloggers and Nairalanders want to make you believe, what were the 17 Nigerians doing there? Why didn't they leave when their visas expired? Why couldn't they renew their visas? The area that they were living in is not even a middle class suburb in Nairobi. It's just an ordinary place .... meaning they weren't able to live in places where expatriates and who is who in Nairobi live

I totally agree with you. There are part-time basis jobs and students are encouraged to work. Salaries are based weekly because rent are paid on a weekly or monthly options.

They rent apartments in groups, stay indoors all day "yahooing" as internet is cheap and electricity is 24/7 and to collect the proceeds from their "jobs" is so easy as they do not need to go through banks as it goes straight to their mobile phones and the money cashed out from kiosks nearby. At night they go clubbing making the most noise and spending money lavishly.

Any Nigerian that wants to stay quietly in Kenya without any issues stays away from most Nigerians. It is safer lo live far away from fellow Nigerians as they tend to attract trouble.

The issue is that after deportation those guys will still find their way back through a third country and enter by road through night bus. I was shocked to see one who deported in April here in Nairobi just few days ago and back to his yahoo ways!

Truth be told, Kenya sweet!

Not just in Kenya. That is the rule of thumb all over the world. Mingle with them at your own peril.

well, all these that were written about kenya are truth.. Kenya is 1000 times better than Nigeria. Ever since i have been here in kenya, i have never seen a sitaution of power faliure here in kenya, and there's always stable clean water. Apart from that, their economy is really strong... even their currency exchange rate right now to naira is ksh3.5 to #1. can u imagine u having 30 thousand shillngs and its like 100k to naira. the fact is that NIgeria is messed up really!!! The problem with Nigerians is once they see one bad thing about another country then that country is automatically on the same low level with Nigeria. America has crimes and problems, but can you equate it with the problems in Nigeria? We can't even compare Nigeria to Ghana. It would be an insult to Ghana. Every country has problems. There is no country you can compare Nigeria to. Well, that's not true. Afghanistan comes to mind. You would not believe how similar Nigeria is to that country. They are both tribalistic as phuck, extremely corrupt, dirty, and one minute you could be taking a stroll and the next minute you'll see a mob killing someone for one reason or another.
