Oh! Please

Like the so called men of God in Nigeria aren't worse.

Religion is a sham, the earlier y'all realised that, the better.
Re: Another Gospel: The Benny Hinn Experience by Nobody: 9:41am On Sep 25, 2016
When eventually you guys wake up, you'll realise how foolish you've all been to have followed these pastors sheepishly for so long.

You go to church because the music sounds good.

You play emotional songs and then claim the spirit is moving.

Your pastors tell you what you want to hear, most of which were skimmed from some book that helps with motivational talks, you clap your hands and feel inspired for the day.
By the following day you're already empty.

He tells you he was anointed and ordained by God after attending a 6-weeks bible course where they are taught how to speak in tongues.

He gives you his own translation of the Bible while claiming to be led by the spirit. You swallow it hook, line and sinker without pausing to know whether it's evil spirit or holy spirit.

Then he asks you to make a donation and y'all rush forward to contribute to his already swollen bank account.

Then you read my post and start screaming touch not the man of god.

And you still want us to believe you're OK?

By what authority did you arrive at this assertion? Do you think Christianity is a Religion? If you do then you are grossly misinformed.

Christianity is a life nurtured and led by the Holy Spirit! I am sure you do not even know who the holy spirit is... The Sooner you know Christ and receive His spirit the better for you.

Christianity is not a religion indeed, you are only deceiving yourselves.

The holy spirit is one of your god's alter ego.

Do you see why you have no basis for your assertion.

I already know you for who you are so I am not about to give you an exposè of who the Holy spirit is because I know you will argue it till u drop. The best I can tell you is that you be silent and not speak rather than speaking and trying to make sense and feign spiritual knowledge when you clearly have no foundation for it.

Oh and once again Christianity is a life and not a Religion. Jesus Never preached Religion...He did not die for Religion...He preached LIFE and died for us to have a NEW AND TRANSFORMED LIFE and not Religion.

OP JESUS SAID "AS LONG AS THE EARTH REMAINETH, SEED TIMES AND HARVEST TIMES WILL NOT CEASE"

OP If u are not Lead to give Or out of ur too much "wiseness" u choose not to give that Doesn't make giving bad. Don't come here and Manifest d Seducing spirit in u by Apealing to people's emotion against giving.

Rev Benny Hinn is a God's General. A Voice to this Generation. Take it or leave It.

THink About This: A Widow in the Bible Had only a meal for her and her Daughter to eat and die, Then there Came a Man of God by name Elijah asking her to giv it to him to eat. That was the seed she needed for her life to change.

Imagine if that happened in dis Generation, Millions of people will say d Man of God is a fraud, a fake and a Scammer.

If u like give, if u like don't give its ur Business But don't Come here and Run down any Man Of God Or are u an agent of Darkness?

when you speak you need to drop facts and truthd based on your fortress and authority of this assertion of falsehood.

if all you know how to say are words like " jonsing" and making making statements like "it is fake" without any cogent truth or fact to back it up with then like I said, sometimes simply keeping quiet is wisdom and wiser than a multitude of words gloriously displaying ignorance and foolishness.

its not the many words that depict wisdom or knowledge....For you SILENCE OUGHT TO BE GOLDEN.

Your case is pitiable cos you don't even know that it's a fact that a virgin can't get pregnant, well unless by artificial insemination, it's another fact that a woman can't be made from a man's rib, yet another fact that snakes don't speak, but you believe otherwise yet accuse me of ignorance? May Satan deliver you from gross stupidity, amen.

Point of Correction! Save the pity party for yourself..... My knowledge and walk with God transcends your earthly age and I have seen and experienced enough of Him to know who it is I am walking with.

if you believe nobody can get pregnant outside artificial insemination where God is concerned due to your earthly knowledge albeit how miniscule it may be then keep on believing it because I know better.

You pray for me using Satan yet you do not believe in God and you call me deluded. You would rather mention Satan than God and this shows who is in control of your inward man.

*smiling* Your time will come....That is a guarantee so fret not.

Animals communicate...so yes they speak...what you ought to have said is that they speak in ways and a language you cannot decipher as a human right now but already man is working on ways to communicate with animals and understand them.

Understanding and communicating with animals is not a problem with God. The earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof...the people and all that dwell therein....

It amazes me when the only thing atheists and critics see is the "money and donation part of the Gospel". You cited just one personal experience. Are you saying Benny hinn and his likes only go about requesting money at all times? Have you taken your time to go through all his teachings and tapes, all his books? When you do that and you see him talk and ask for seeds in all of them, you can put up what you have up there. Even paul talked about this ; Phil 4: 14-20, 1 cor 9: 11,
Have you done the bolded sentence?

Jude 1:4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

I would rather suggest he take time to study the whole Bible, even you too.

I have not read all but I have listened to his messages- not one not two not three and they did not talk about sowing seed. what message is Benny hinn and likes preaching? Does he preach salvation? If yes you and the OP do not need to be critic. Phil 1: 15-19

Somewhere in your mind you believe you have made sense o.

animals communicate with you I guess and that means they speak, you are the wisest.

You were talking of facts, I give you some and it suddenly becomes "where God is concerned" your mumuness has no comparison, then there's the fact that you can't recognise sarcasm, like I actually pity you, smh once again.

I have experienced first hand the fraud and deciet that some of this pastors do. I have even had a bad experience from one big general overseer whose mentor is Benny hinn. When I read negative stories about this man I know its the truth, because my eyes have seen first hand deciet from this MOG. That not withstanding, I do not appreciate the fact that an atheist (Seun) opens a thread or pushes a thread to front page as a subtle way of mocking Christianity.
Whether today we have fake pastors or not it was Christianity that brought light to Nigeria. It was the missionaries that came in to build hospitals, schools and many other good things we enjoy today that pushed the dark African tradition away and gave way to churches. Our fathers embraced Christianity because it was good. We didn't need to go to a native doctor anymore to appease the gods when we fell sick.
That some people aka fake pastors rise up daily to try and deceive us doesn't mean that till today that there are no good and honest christian leaders, evangelists doing God's work in truth and according to God's way.

It so pathetic that this is what one will have to deal with everyday. For crying out loud nairaland is a secular forum, and treads from various believes are pushed to fp on daily basis. Why do you have to play the victim card whenever a post that does not support your believes are posted, na wa o.

And it about time u guys look for other ways of drawing attention to your selves other than just threatening to leave nairaland, perhaps you should also consider leaving facebook. WHO ENA DON HELP.

I love the way you started, making us feel u are a good Christian, but after reading ur shit,I understand u are a devil's advocate . I will give it to you because many will believe you, but me, I won't cause giving in the church has made me who I am today and when I say who I am, I mean from nothing to something ,zero to hero. You won't understand because the blessing some of us enjoy as a result of obedience , u will never enjoy it. . Muslims give more than most of us ,u will never hear them complaining. Traditionalist give virtually everyday ,u will never hear them complaining,in fact, they give with joy. But we Christians , we complain a lot. If u can't give ,then please be a beggar but never u complain about the things of the spirit. Shalom

whether in truth or in pretence, Christ is preached and that's what we rejoice in. Christians are admonished to be cautious and aware of false teachers, so they are not led into "sin". Giving is not a sin the last time I checked.

@Thesixthsense for the first time in a while I will disagree with you even though I agree with certain portions of your writeup but the whole message is wrongly packaged and would rather create chaos in the body and not light.

Peronally thr book " Goodmorning Holy Spirit" helped me in my early Christian days but I learnt early to balance everything using Scriptures from the Bible so I filtered every book using the Bible.

I had to understand the value of thr Holy spirit before I sought for Him and received the baptism of the Holy ghost and the gifts of word of knowledge, gift of faith and working of miracles.

What your message should have focused on is on motive! Why do we do what we do? Why do we seek what we seek? There are many true believers under the tutelage of Benny Hinn and many who have come from Oral Roberts...People like the Late Benson Idahosa who I came from are examples.

Benny Hinn seeking the anointing on Kathryn could have been based on desire and belief that if Same could happen between Elijah and Elisha then he could get same.

Some people are redical with desire but how you would know they are on track are by their fruits or via discernment. Your switching off moment has happened a lot to me as well but I do not let that give me an "I am better than you" attitude or an "I am holier than you" attitude. I rather channel my strenght towards praying for them even more and not bashing them.

Not everything about a mans walk with God is open for us to see but his manifestations are and yes sometimes God can demand a seed for a harvest and the Holy spirit can witness same to many others listening and they would jump on it but if you switched off at that point how are you sure u were not being either emotional or the seed time was not for you at that time?

Surely you have sown in other places...surely you have given to the needy....Sowing for a believer is not to be seen as sowing but as giving. ..God is not a gambler.

its not too late to take down the thread. The whole essence of our message is Love and not division and further divisions. All you have written here has been captured by Paul in much of his books in the bible so let those with the spirit of the berean Christians read it and allow the Holy Spirit to open their eyes to the truth.

This platform is a mixed multitude platform and the owner being an atheist has quickly pushed this to front page and I believe that it may be a ploy to further say .."I was right..the church is messed up" and you are encouraging it.

Let us all be mindful of our moderation brother.

'For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and produce great signs and omens, to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Take note, I have told you beforehand...' (Matt 24:24-25)

One of the first books I got, after the Lord's gracious salvation of my life, was the bestseller 'Good Morning Holy Spirit' by Benny Hinn. A great read at the time, I was fascinated by his knowledge about things of the Spirit and God and his path to experiencing the Holy Spirit even to conversational relations. I watched his sermons, I ignored comments about him being a heretic. I thought why people so judgemental especially christians, what is he possibly doing wrong? He preaches Jesus and the Holy Spirit and he even talks about casting out demons in Jesus name. He explains angels and God's relationship with them as though he had some divine revelation from the Holy Spirit Himself. I liked his book and certainly respected him as a preacher and a 'man of God.'

Then came a time when he came around to my city at a RCCG parish. I determined to go see him, even if it meant forfeiting my church service for his scheduled miraculous service. I had been praying for a miracle so I thought my moment had finally arrived. So, I went. Praise and worship was fantastic and colourful, way more appealing to the congregation than that of my church. Service carried on until Benny arrived, celebrated as he was ushered in then he began his sermon with 'whoow I feel the anointing' He went on to talk about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ taking us through the torturous ordeal of the cross along with the more than occasional sedating musical tune from his music crew.

'Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows...But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; And by His stripes we are healed (Isa 53:4-6) echoed through the speakers. Ttarted coming out to give testimonies of their healing. 'My back pain for several months gone' 'My ankle pain gone' 'My arthritis gone' ...'My wrist pain gone' almost every healing seemed to be about pain. All the while, right in front of me was a row of people sat on wheelchairs, expectant for their healing. In fact, I'm sure almost everyone in the service required some sort of miraculous intervention. I thought maybe God hasn't remembered me or maybe I didn't have enough faith to receive my healing. I thanked God anyway for the service and the others.

Then came the moment that shook me. They had earlier passed envelopes with forms for credit card debit information for giving. So, Benny went ahead beseeching us to say and proclaim 'The wealth of the sinner must come to me.' (I thought what a dishonest desire to proclaim. What's my own with the sinner's money). He said Kenneth Copeland gave him a prophetic declaration at the beginning of the year that any covenant sowing with him would be exceedingly fruitful. He went ahead to give us a rundown of how Abraham, Isaac, Moses, Joshua and all sowed in obedience and they reaped exceedingly. He gave examples of how someone's financial debt was cleared from obedience and on with a couple of other examples. Then, he went personal. He asked a woman, 'how much do you pay monthly for your mortgage?' she said about a thousand then he said 'the Lord wants you to give a month's worth and watch what the Lord will do.'

As he continued, I noticed for the first time in my christian life that I completely switched off, very unusual but I could feel it - Quenching of the Spirit, maybe - But I silently prayed 'Lord, you know my heart, it is not even because of money that I am here and I really don't understand this money thing' Then it hit me, it is one Spirit, if God will heal me He will do it wherever I am through the His Spirit that is within. I don't even have to attend another church. So, I left quite confused but with the empty envelope. I was tempted to try sowing with a little but I waited and just prayed about it.

But, thank God for that experience because it made me to stop reading his book and any other I had planned and went directly to the bible and occasionally articles from John Piper's desiringgod.org and I noticed the world of difference between spirit-edifying bible-based teaching and what the 'prosperity word-of-faith hypergrace' people preach.

So, what is the false gospel of Benny Hinn?
There are so many articles about Benny Hinn. From asking for Katherine Kuhlman's anointing at her grave to unbiblical revelations about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I had thought maybe Benny Hinn changed or lost it along the way because anyone who would encourage his church to read the whole bible couldn't be so bad right? His book talked about the lost emphasis on holiness by the church even then and it's not all garbage. There is rather some things to learn from his book.

But as I continue to read the bible, I discover that these deceptive practices contradict the life and teaching of Jesus Christ and His apostles and it is in fact, another gospel and definitely not of our Lord Jesus Christ. The money-loving lifestyles of Benny Hinn and his friends do not conform with the standards of 1 Tim 3:3 and Tit 1:7.

This teaching was made popular by the freemason Oral Roberts and it has invaded Africa to the point where people associate the gospel and Jesus Christ to these men of the occult. The history of the movement is quite interesting and relatively recent.

On a light note, here's a conversation about private jets by gods of men:

Another thing, Benny Hinn's miraculous 'slain in the spirit' and 'drunk in spirit' is similar to kundilani yoga spirits that give ecstatic feelings to the possessed. It's worse with Bill Johnson and his Bethel Church version of holy spirit. I have come to notice that the cliche 'birds of a feather flock together' cannot be any truer. These guys visit Nigeria and mingle with their allies in the deception of God's people. For the nigerian pastors, I give a benefit of doubt that some are actually sincere in propagating deceptive doctrines.

Imagine if Bill Gates, Zuckerberg and the rich others were to attend these churches, what would they preach? to sow seeds? for what then? how to make money? Or talk about pastor's money story?

The gospel of Jesus Christ is for everyone, the rich, poor, broken, healed, sick and well. It is about the finished work of salvation for victory over sin and death provided for in the blood of atonement. The message is simple and truth and it has continued to transform lives from the days of the apostles. There is power in salvation and it is usually a testimony.

The bible says those who reject and do not love the truth to be saved, God would give them a delusion so that they would believe a lie so that they would be condemned. (2 Thes 2:9-12).

What then is the truth?
'Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth...And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth (John 17:17,19)

Someone said let's not limit God. True, but I'd rather limit God to His Word that would never pass away than not limit Him to His Bible than be exposed to demonic practices and doctrines in the name of pastor, prophetic revelation and signs and wonders of men and worse believing another gospel.

The truth is the Word of God. The Bible is sufficient. Sola Scriptura. Be like the Bereans who searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. (Acts 17:11) To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them (Isa 8:20)

Get Saved and Get Sanctified with the Word!!!

What exact are you trying to point out? Is it that prosperity teaching is demonic or alien to the Bible or Ben's conduct during the service you attended?

Be careful what you write on social media cause maybe you might be the one the devil is using, instead of praying for the man of God if you have any issues you've decided to castigate him, I watch this is your day and Benny hinn always says the greatest miracle is salvation, Christ Jesus shed he's blood for salvation and giving for the gospel is not a sin, Muslims give even idol worshippers give, pls be careful!

I dont care.i am the last person to be decieved by a big name.
Jesus was a big name.
He was also very controversial.

There were lots of radical things being said about him! People called him a glutton and a drunkard. They called him a mad man, demon possessed. They said he healed people with demonic jazz from Beelzebub.

You see, the devil loves to surround the truth of God's power with controversy. If there isn't a lot of controversy about you, you may not be preaching the truth. Satan attacks and tries to destroy the reputation of those who carry the most threat to him.

The worst kind of persecution is when your own brothers judge and reject you without hearing your matter

Be careful. How can the message of Satan make people love God more?
If I and an atheist are saying the same thing about real Christian issue then something may be seriously wrong.

I wonder why Satan would heal the sick? The devil only comes to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus came that we may have life.
