jordan president recieved by kenyan president... I've never seen presidents meet in uniform b4

Now I know Abdullah has served in his country's military. Has Uhuru? If not, he has no business wearing a military uniform. And I'm not picking on Kenya, Jonathan also had no business putting on a uniform he had not earned.
If anyone disagrees, put up a better argument than the bunkum about Commander-in-Chief!

Russia Confirms sale of MI-35 HELICOPTERS to Nigeria
This will be the largest single sale of HELICOPTERS to Nigeria ever.
This is a start, meanwhile Nigeria needs to as a matter of urgency ensure that she acquires her J-17s as soon as possible.

well we can look at it from many angles..... but as per the law.... in most democracies, the military has been allowed to issue ceremonial ranks, the president can use it or not depends on himself, but if he choses to then its his business cause he can and is within his powers as th CinC, he does not recieve any special benefits with his ceremonial rank.......... mostly the ceremonial rank is awarded during wartimes but on special occassions it can be awarded if the president even in peaceful times... Nigerial is dealing with BH and Kenya is dealing with AS, both need to show solidarity with their armed forces defending the nation, and what better way to inspire your troops (other than funding them well) than wearing military regalia to inspire them. it also sends the messege that you mean bussiness and you are serious in taking care of bussiness

one quote from a former military

“It is appropriate for the Commander-in-Chief to wear the uniform since he is technically an honourable member of the armed forces,”

he is the king not president (Jordan is a constitutional monarchy, the king chooses the prime minister )and yes he served in the jordanian army for more than a decade, even commanded Jordan's Special Forces, attended the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst,

In one contract, yes. It is the largest sale of helicopters. The last reports we got was a delivery of JF-17s this September, from unofficial sources though, however we would probably have to move the date. September is practically gone.

I wish we went ahead with the T-129 though, it would have been fantastic. MI-35m's, still massive.

No you said Negative G/ Inverted flight! And BTW your diagram is an outside loop maneuver not a "negative G dive" which isn't even a maneuver !

None of the video performed an outside loop.

(positive g) or an outside loop (negative g). Stop confusing yourself.

Dude im not the one confused...you are, i know what an outside loop is, that's why i had to teach it to you, otherwise you would still be calling it a negative G dive!

Also you never asked for a video of a Gripen doing an outside loop.....you'll also never see an Air force fighter doing an outside loop anywhere in the world, as its an acrobatic maneuver not a combat maneuver.

But just because fighter pilots don't preform an outside loops doesn't mean a fighter jet can't do it.....WW1 era aircraft were able to do outside loops, i guarantee you fighters build 100 years later can also!

oh and BTW the max G load for the Gripen is +9/-4
Which is more then the Rafale: +9/-3.2
more than the Euro Fighter: +9/-3
more than the F/A 18: +9/-3

Conclusion: If the Gripen can't preform a maneuver due to the G load stresses then no other Aircraft can either.

Good google helped you out. Aerodynamics tell better so don't teach me what I know. Sorry where did you get your source from? Are you indirectly saying gripen is a better maneuverable aircraft than the euro-fighter typhoon ?

Ceremonial ranks do not entitle the holder to treat a military uniform as a costume. The title of CinC for example, is linked to the office of head of state, not the individual holding that office. That's why there's no such thing as "former/ex- CinC".
Funny enough, it is in only in questionable democracies with dodgy militaries - mostly in Africa, the Middle East and some parts of Asia - that one sees civilians putting on military uniforms that they've not earned.

gees9:

She did it once and a quiet word was had with the minister's office and she didn't do it again.
No police minister has ever done that. However, civilian commissioners wear the uniform and call themselves generals. Bheki Cele as commissioner went too far with the STF uniform.
Just like Gigaba showing up at Parliament wearing an SAA pilot's uniform.

As you all can tell, I feel very strongly about this. It took me a long while to accept civilian presidents alighting their planes and saluting the guard of honour. Acceptable if the pres in question had served. But, I've learned to accept that, if done properly.

Im not indirectly telling you the Gripen is more maneuverable than the Euro-Fighter....Im directly telling it is....The Gripen has higher a G load, as well as a much lower wing loading!! Thought you knew aerodynamics??
