PSN Officially Receives Pharm . D Approval Letter
In what has been adjudged a milestone achievement for the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria ( PSN) the Ahmed Yakasai led PSN has successfully received the official approval letter for Pharm .D , from the National Universities Commission ( NUC) . The epoch making event, which took place at the office of the new NUC Executive Secretary Prof . Abubakar Rasheed on Wednesday 14th September 2016, was witnessed by the PSN president and his entourage in Abuja . Shortly after the official document was presented to him , he appreciated God and all who had worked tirelessly to make it a possibility . “We thank God for His blessings as I collected the official letter of Pharm . D approval from NUC today .May God help all those who contributed in making this milestone possible. Congratulations to all Pharmacists and friends of the profession ”. Meanwhile , accolades have continued to pour in from pharmacists across the country on the achievement. Some of their comments below : Professor Chinedum Peace Babalola : “All the glory to God for this victory . I pray that we will use this opportunity God has given us to take our profession to an enviable position . May we receive God’ s favour as educators to implement it well. Hello all, I wish to be a pharmacy tech. I will like to go to Canada for the Diploma in it then move further to be certified. Do we have someone who is there studying the course or someone who can give info on the school, the province and the low tution fee school to apply to? Need advice pls

resit, repeats and withdraw is common . you gonna make it if you are diligent. study hard for your utme and post utme... where is sisiafrika? who is going to convention at Agulu?

although my utme is not that high i had 259 .i really have a great passion for the course, i just hop UI wont break ma heart.

I'm a pharmacist by birth and in the making, as talent and by acquisition.

They call it "drug" but it becomes "medicine" after the pharmacist looks through it, for any drug taken without the pharmacist's inspection may turn out a poison.

*Paracetamol is so common as medicine but when taken above 8gram in a day becomes a poison to the liver.

*Cotrimoxazole is simply "septrin" for that URTI, but when not taken with plenty of water predisposes the kidney to problem

*Postinor "levonorgesterel" does wonders, but if taken after 3days of coitus becomes ineffective

*Diclofenac, very wonderful against that crisis of arthritis, but if you have ulcer while taking it, you are in trouble

*Antibiotics are God sent bombs, but when not properly taken, introduces "resistance" which in turn causes treatment failures and increases cost of treatment.

*Chlorpheniramine "piriton" does magic to that inflammation, but if you operate machinery after use, may cause accident

*Rifampicin is so effective against that TB, but if you do not know about the urine coloration it causes, you might be frightful when it happens

*Artemisinin" ACT handles malaria properly, but if you ignorantly add an antioxidant, then expect a relapse.
I can go on and on with these proofs to why you should respect your pharmacist!
