Hian! $600 kwanu,it use to be free o,then it went up to $300,now it's $600.God help us o,that's almost 280-290K in Naira . I won't advice you to pay it o,since you are not planning to use him, except you are, then,it will be deducted from your final bill.
What i would advice you to do is read this thread thoroughly with a pen and jotter and take down as much Dr and hospitals email address as possible and keep firering those email and I'm sure that before long you will get an unconditional reply that you can use for your interview and POE ? GOODLUCK

@Chiowerri yes indeed o. I'm just seeing their mail now. Hopefully this price doesn't change again for the longest time being. If only they would accept a prepayment so one can lock down the contract. I'm a January mum, you? God bless all the new mamas and lo's and all our plans.

Am a december mom. Journey will start in November

Hello mummies. I ve been following this thread as a visitor on naira land but decided to join naira land tonight to be able to post this information I found out at the airport in Lagos.
For those who want to buy PTA from travellex at MMIA in Lagos, pls get your BVN CARD from your bank and take it along with you with your passport, visa & boarding pass. New rules and surprisingly, no queue.
I will be fulfilled if this information will help at least 1 person. I ve learnt a lot from this thread. I appreciate everyone.

I'm guessing the item is coming from the US to Nigeria.... It would NEVER get to your house grin grin

You have to go to the Nipost office in your town to look for it.
i know thanks for your response God bless you i did but it has no been seen my main problem is that the package is not tracking

Go to the nearest post office to confirm the status of your package. If it's a delivery sent from US to Nigeria, I doubt if it has arrived, it takes over a month sometimes 2 months sef , hence the reason you cant track it. Or it might be at the post office ....just Go to the nearest post office.
Ok i would do that .... Thank you

Hello every one,how are ya all doing? 3rd missionary journey fully activated,I have to share my POE experience. I came into dallas on the 20th sept via emirate at 32weeks+,was asked for fit to fly at lagos airport and also at dubai airport, due to changes in flight time I was qualified for dubai connect. It was a long flight but we landed safely, got to the CBP office and he asked for reason for the trip, told him vacation and maternity leave, asked how much I had, told him which he didn't even check, directed me to agric cos I already stated I had food stuffs and that was all. The issue of me being in dallas twice previously for child birth was not asked and none of my documents was checked. Agric guy was nice, we just gisted while he spoke little igbo language to me and off I went, nothing was seized. Eagerly waiting for the arrival of my LO.Wishing all other mama's coming a smooth flight and entry. God bless ya all!!!

Based on my experience sending things via post office to Nigeria has to be supported with serious prayers o and you have to be patient. I have not sent stuff from the US before, but i have done a couple from China, some are trackable up till it leaves their country ,others are trackable even on Nipost website, while some are not even trackable at all. I will advice you to wait till after a month and keep visiting the post office in your area until you receive it. The good thing with mine is that i have not lost any parcel till date, once it arrives they put a notification slip in my post office box to notify me that my parcel has arrived and should come and collect

Once the package leaves the US it cannot be tracked anymore cos our Nipost is....well shiity.
You have to keep going to the Nipost office in your area to check or get the Contact of a staff that would alert you when the package arrives

hello house, i have been a silent member of this thread for years now. i was denied visa with hubby early this year and i decided to reapply for childbirth this month alone.

my interview was successful and i will like to share as is the norm here. it goes thus:

VO: passport please
Me: goodmorning
VO: didnt reply but asked why are you going to the US
Me: Childbirth
VO: where do you work?
Me: at ...... before i finished she interrupted
VO: what do you do there
Me: i am a relationship mger n have.........product portfolio i manage on the side too. pls note that i was stammering at this point and had to rephrase my self cuz wen i listened to myself explaining my functions at first i was not convince with my first reply. i then rephrased and explained in full details what i do, reason being that a pregnant woman was denied before my turn as a result of her job function as the VO was repeating she explains wat her functions where but she kept repeating her designation(my tot doh)
VO: how much do u earn
Me: 2xx,Bleep
VO: how much will this trip cost you 14,660
VO: Why this hospital?
Me: well we did alot of research online and narrowed it down to three hospitals(mentioned the hosp n their locations in diff states) but we went for WHMC because they where timely with their responses and gave a detailed breakdown of the total cost when am in their care.
VO: Have you gotten a Doc?
Me: Yes his name is Dr. Kor..... and i have an appointment letter with other correspondences
VO: can i see them
Me: Yes ofcourse and passed all the doc to her including my budget sheet since i realized she didn't ask for them
VO: ***she ignored the budget sheet went straight to my appointment letter, was reading it and started typing into her system for a long time Me: i was praying at this point and arranging my documents also, my statement of acct in front cuz i was expecting her to ask for it
VO: who is sponsoring the trip
Me: Hubby
VO: what does he do
Me: i stammered cuz i was still praying in my head.....pardon me pls, come again?
VO: what does he do
Me: He is a so n so manger at .......ltd. some of his major clients are......., .......... and ....... to mention a few
VO: how long have you been married?
Me: xxxxx
VO: how many children do you have?
Me: This is my first and i smiled at her
VO: have you traveled before? at this point i was abt 60% convinced she will give me the visa
Me: yes i have been to Gambia, UK and Dubai
VO: when last where you in the UK
Me: November last year
VO: how long did you stay?
Me: 11 or 12 days i wasn't specific cuz i don forget
VO: do you have family in the US
Me: No just acquintances
VO: where will you be staying in the US?
Me: at ..... suites in houston, i intend to search for an apartment when i get there because i will like to see where i will be living before paying
VO: How long will you be staying
Me: for 3 months
VO: she types for while and said i will be approving your visa now while passing me the white paper. pls pick up your passport in 3days at xxxxx.
Me: i quickly grabbed the white paper and then said thank you.

i want to say i appreciate everyone that has contributed to this thread before now you have blessed alot of pple with the wealth of info. Now on to the search for dollar. anyone with info on this pls let me know, also any mama in the house going to houston in dec with apartment to share or info on any cheap one should talk to me abeg. thanks all

I used my bank card. But know your bank rates before they shock you like they did me. I checked Diamond bank 2 days before I used my card and it was 385. Only to pay for a friend's ticket to UK and they charged me 410. Shocked was an understatement. They have cheap tickets but the bank rate will make all the difference.

Calling the customer care and booking over the phone and paying with Naira cash at GTB makes a lot of sense. I just paid today for a flight of 845 dollars plus 30 dollars service charge for booking over the phone, making it a total of 875 dollars, but I paid a total of 281,775.76 at GTB, this means that they charged only 322 naira per dollar. I think its good.

Remember Lagos Travelex requires you to have a boarding pass. They won't deal with tickets like Abuja Travelex.
