He has never been to Nigeria before and the last time his father visited Nigeria was in 2001. Why didn't he do all this while the father was still alive? It would have saved him the stress of looking for his father's people. Anyway with the help or advice rendered so far, make use of the useful ones and discard the ones not worthy to be used. As for me I wish him luck in his quest, and hopefully a happy reunion with his father's people.

Sorry to ur friend about his father's demise. There is Umudioka also, in 3 diff places in Imo state, all under Orlu in Imo state, one is Umudioka ukwu, Umudioka Owerre, the other is Umudioka ancient kingdom. Ask him if its the one u know in Anambra state or any of the 3 in IMO state. So u see, its complicated, if its d one in IMO state, I'm sure that on Facebook, they have a page called Orlu and Njaba, something like that, he should post this message there also, as people from these places or people who are familiar with the name maybe there. Good luck to him

Ifediora would be a very unusual name in Orlu, and Imo State at large, where the form is more likely to be Ihedioha, wouldn't you say?

please my lost brother though I am far from i helping I know I lived all my life in fegge I know umudioka. in donukofia but I only want to advise you please you must try as much as possible to bury your father at home at all cost, that one of the reason why we are igbos, it is an abomination if you dont, nobody at home will stop you that is your fathers right ok, but I have blame you even people who never saw their father were able to have enough information traced back to their origin but you, I must say you f**k up buy that's by the way I wish you luck. Seriously this issue sounds more like stories we used to hear back in the days where a man will die and travel to another town to marry and have children.

Any way I know someone that finished from that school and he has in laws from umudioka in dunukohia. You need to attach the man's picture as that will help.

There's umudioka in orlu also. You can as well include that in your search. Goodluck.

From his family surname, his father is most likely from Anambra state. Ifediora is not a common name/surname in the Imo area.
