The following details are required at the time of processing visa applications:
• The last 3 months personal bank statements (Up to month prior to travel, If family booking, only required for head of the family)
• Credit Card copy in the name of the traveller
• Hotel booking must be in place prior to visa application
• Family Travellers can apply for a tourist visa which will entitle a max 30 day stay. Individual Travellers / Business Travellers can only apply for a service visa will entitles a max 14 day stay. If your client wishes to have an extended duration they must exit the UAE and apply a new visa.
• Service Visa charges are the same as Tourist Visa charges

Since I don't know the exact date the visa will be issued and I have to submit a confirmed Emirate ticket, what date (departure date) should then be on the emirate ticket so as to avoid wasting ticket money?

Validity of the visa is 14 days meaning you have to enter Dubai before the 14th day elapses from the date the visa was issued and once you enter Dubai you have 14 days duration of stay, so from the date your visa was issued if you don't enter Dubai within 14 days it will expire

I don't think it's true cos I just got my visa today, but mind you I'm a frequent traveler and also not below 40, so a ban on Nigerians I'm not sure but probably restrictions and I also confirm from people in Dubai and they said nothing like that but others can still chip in

Don't think there's any ban as I just got a two weeks tourist visa for someone.

I just called a reliable source. There is no such thing as all this you wrote my dear. According to him there are no visa restrictions on Nigeria visit/tourist visa.

Don't quit your job...just apply for 30 days leave with option of extending the leave...jobs are not guaranteed here in UAE. Besides the Ember periods are not the best when it comes to job search. It is a pity that UAE police always see all blacks as Nigerians,d prostitutes are not naijas but Ugandas,they have d largest percentage of prostitute in Dubai.
