Which kind of logic is this? , A church is not a bank (even though they collect your money), a bank has a dress code, most state in the invitation to dress corporately, like i said before nigerians like to overdo things even more than the people we learnt it from .. see below what someone wore to interview Obama (most powerful president in the world) , you people should stop putting people on pedestals unnecessarily

So u prefer a Gucci dressed pastor with nothing to say than this fellow who gives u a great message. In fact his dressing is a message if we really know why we went to church. We are more package focused. We have been convinced dressing well and looking good is key to a christian life or something. The man is well covered. His cloths are clean. What else to we want?

Like seriously, the comments of some of us here exposes why the church continues to slide down into the depths of materialism, that is why pastors have turned the pulpit to their own fashion run way, show casing their latest acquisitions while many of their members languish in poverty.
I believe in being simple, even the Bible preaches moderation. Sadly many of us equate societal status and respect with dressing and ability to impress from the wardrobe.

Can the Ambassador of any Country dress like that for an official meeting?

it depends on the interview and country OK. In Germany if you do to an engineering job interview with suit,Oyo is your case. You go dressed in jeans, T-shirt and correct timbolo or any hardy shoe. Now, do you call that indecent?

"Packaging or the need to parkage" is what I think would hardly make a Nigerian pastor dress like this. Churches down here are like companies and pastors are like CEOs. Look at the workers in the churches too. You will hear "dress smart". To a lot of Nigerians, "dress smart" means "wear a suit". . I am a medical doctor but I hardly wear suit to work. I like my polo shirt or a coat at most and I think I always look smart in them. A friend of mine who is a lab attendant in the hospital where I work wears suit 24/7. I have never seen him wear something else. I know he is never comfortable in them.

You that wants your pastor to dress like that to church, can u dress like that to church as an ordinary member? It is not only women that dress indecently to church, men do too.

I don't have a problem with what my staff puts on, take Facebook Corp, Google and the Likes for instance, watch when theyre presenting a New Product, they don't wear suits and all those Coats just to show how decent they're, it's about their Input to the Organisation..

Although I'm not a churchy type, I'm a christian, and I'm not trying to condemn any Nigerian pastor or pastors... Its a pity most Nigerian pastors live lavishly and majority of their members wallow in poverty.

I decided to go to church today Sunday after a long time, during service I discovered how simple the pastor was dressed, no flashy suits, no flashy gold rolex, no bodyguard's etc. He preached the word with utmost sincerity and I had a nice time in the presence of God. I was asked to step forward as a first timer, the pastor prayed for me and after service the members and pastors kept on welcoming me. The pastor even invited me to have lunch with his family after service which I generously turned down.

THIS IS WHAT CHRISTIANITY IS ALL ABOUT BROTHERLY LOVE.

Jesus Christ wore robes and garments and they were of such quality that the soldiers haggled amongst themselves( throwing away ranks) about who would take his clothes... They ended up sharing it... Nobody would cast lot to share what this pastor is wearing g if he is given the beaten of his life while in them with the attendant blood and all but thy did it for the robes and garments of Jesus because it had tangible material value during his time
